Surely you are aware that EVERYONE goes through dull periods during the day. Those 15 minutes before the end of that movie and the time that episode of Dr. House finishes downloading, or the 30 minute ride to and from work. Some people read, some people play on their handhelds (lucky bastards, I nearly exploded with envy when I was sitting on the train and I could hear, right behind me: "pata pata pata PON!"), but we all, invariably, end up thinking about random subjects, and get lost in our trains of thought.
Well, perhaps not all of us, but it has certainly happened to me a lot of times. I'd like to share some of my crazy (sometimes even funny and everything) thoughts, and I'd also love to hear what crazinesses (?) other Escapists have thought of.
Alright, here goes nothing:

Why is it that everytime some crazy person claims that they heard a voice in his head, it's always something like "you must go to the market and shoot down everyone" or "burn down the entire house". I think it'd be a great step forward if the voices in their heads could say something like "You must go to the market... and buy your girlfriend some flowers, and then give your mum a call"

Things one should avoid when robbing a bank:
-Having your wife shout out at you from the car: "Did you turn off the lights before leaving the house?"
-When the clerk gives you the money, you shouldn't set the money aside and count it to make sure it's all there.
-Asking the clerk to give you half of the money in 100's, and the other half in small bills.
-Make the most out of your time in the bank, and pay your credit card bills before robbing.

Why is it that old people CANNOT be passed on the street. Really, you should try it. Walk behind a man or woman over 60 and try to pass him. You can't! Old people have this aura of power that makes them impossible to pass. This applies to cars as well.

I have more, but I can't remember them right now.
I don't know if such a post is frowned upon in The Escapist, but I see nothing to indicate that it is.
Please, if you have other strange, funny, curious or interesting thoughts, post them here, I'd love to read them.

You can. You just have to walk/drive faster than they do.

About the dull-period-thoughts, mine are best compressed into "meh". Not because I shut down my brain but necause it tends to go so far into the ridicilous bullshit that when i realize what i just had on my mind I try everything possible to forget it again. I have the fear that if i accumulate enough thoughts like that I go even more insane.

I don't have any downtime.

Never a dull moment.

But really I mostly think about DnD or Music.

Most moments of my brain's free time are already taken up with its musings and ideas. I'll often lounge about contemplating a scene for one of my stories or a large amount of dialog. If I'm not thinking up some scene or another, I'm usually talking with one of my characters in order to understand them or assembling designs for items, vehicles, and landscapes in my head. Or mentally composing songs so I can write them down and work on refining them later. Sometimes this will even extend to more entertaining moments, as I'll often create backstories for things in games that already have/don't need them (I've still got a bit on the three sentient races I made in Spore, for example).

In what little time I don't focus on the real world, my hobbies, or meditation, I tend to wander off towards philosophical musings and random memories.

my thoughts usually go to a webcomic i want to draw but keep putting off. the main reason is that my scanner sucks and i have no art programs other then ms paint. god i wish i could though because ive been pretty bored lately. i never get to do anything these days cuz my friends are never free. ever. i do also like to write songs in my head, mostly rock songs that would sound like they were from the late sixties and early seventies, cuz my fav bands are black sabbath and the like. ive had stuff that sounded pretty cool in my head but started to sound bad when i "played" them over and over, though i think there have to be some that people would like. one in particular has a riff that switches between bass and regular electric guitar. its sweet. i also wonder why i spend so much time on the escapist when i dont play nearly as much video games as most people here (though in my defense im only 16 now and i havent had the chance to play a bunch of old stuff). and yes, my thoughts can be as incoherent as this post.

Driving along a duel carriageway, "If everyone is meant to be going the same speed, why are people overtaking everyone else?"

I always wondered why pizza places never advertised a Turkey Pizza at thanksgiving. Places here offer chicken. Why not diced, grilled turkey breast on a pizza? I'd certainly try it at least once.

While I'm on Pizza, a chain here offers Heart-Shaped Pizza on Valentine's day, with a dollar from each pizza sold going to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. In general, whenever I see these I don't get it. Why just Valentines Day? Why not the whole Month? And more money? McDonald's donates a dime for every happy meal sold to their charities. Why not a quarter? A quarter's not a lot, and think of how much more they'd raise!

And why are 'Fun Size' Candy Bars always small? Worse, SMALLER than they used to be? I think a King Size Kit Kat would be WAY more 'fun' than some little, easily broken and mashed baby bar.

...Is it any wonder the more free time I have to think, the hungrier I seem to be later?

"Why don't they ever just sell that stuff in the middle of Orio's instead of wasting all that biscuit?"

"Why don't they just sell packets of revels with one type of Revel inside with the flavor listed on the bag?"

"Man, breasts look great."

I do that! I will randomly just stare at my own chest and say "Omg these things are awesome." Most of my male friends' responses go "Either share the view or stop rubbing it in."

Breasts are great.

Huh, so it's like "yes, my power is growing... soon, all men shall worship me"?

Pretty much. I am gunna offend some feminists right now but all a woman needs in life is a push up bra. Boobs are a straight man's weakness. The education is for the ones who want a conversation with someone who isn't staring at their chest.

There's one scenario which frequently pops up when I'm trying to fall asleep.

"What would I do if two armed men robbed my house"

Of course, I would firstly knock one out and take his knife/gun and then hold the second captive, while I call the police. It works out every time. The next day I'm a hero.

I wish that would happen... And work like I want it to.

And if I said I could have an intelligent conversation whilst staring at a woman's breasts?
