Threat has been detected

Every page I open on the escapist today is accompanied by my antivirus telling me it has blocked a trojan horse (I use Avast) is anyone else getting this or is it just me?

I've been having that problem too, and incidentally I use Avast as well.

It's never happened before, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one it's being wonky for.

for the 1st few weeks when i started using chrome i kept on getting told there was malware

But I be on Ubuntu... and can't get viruses.

I have a friend that had to deal with that for a while. Something about the site itself. It should be safe. PM a mod about it, though. Just in case.

Nod32 deems this place pretty safe, so I'm assuming it's the free stuff just being over reactive as usual.

I have Avast!, and I've received no such warnings.

It seems to me that a few of my fellow Escapists (the ones with warnings, that is) should be doing a Malware Bytes scan a little more often, eh?

I use AVG Free, and have gotton no such warnings.

AVG Free edition here, no problem. Try deleting the browser's cache or something, might help.

I use AntiVir and haven't gotten anything from the Escapist.

I think it must just be Avast, because I've got AVG Free running and no such warnings here.

I am using avast and am getting those warnings too.
