I'd fund:
-Amalur
-Knights of the old republic
-Split between a REAL sequel for GuildWars 1 (so essentially another expansion), Torchlight 2, Warcraft 4

Call of Duty

EA Sports

Basically they're the same game over and over and over and over again. And somehow they're very popular...
The above basically sums what I'd like to see never get released again. It's most likely me but I don't get the appeal of sports games :\

Rez:

Dishonored: One of my favourite settings in videogames, combined with solid, fun gameplay. I can't wait for the sequel.

Timesplitters: Easily the most fun local multiplayer game i've ever played. 4 player split screen would be mandatory.

Wipeout: The playstation-exclusive anti-gravity racing game. Wipeout HD and the Fury expansion were excellent, and it was a sad day when sony shuttered Studio Liverpool/Psygnosis.

Kill:

All series' that insist that yearly titles are the best thing they can do. Not kill off entirely, but force them to wait at least 3 years between iterations. Battlefield, CoD, Assassins Creed; i'm looking at you.

Shitty "simulators" that are jumping on the "random lulz" bandwagon and trying to sell crappy, bugged out games for $5 purely to be YouTube bait. Grass Simulator, Rock Simulator; you're not being funny. You're whipping that dead joke so hard it's been turned into comedy puree.

The endless "MMO-Post-Apocalypse-Survival-Crafting-Roleplay-Etcetera" games that are flooding Steam's early access lately. Not all of them, just the broken ones that are clearly trying to make a quick buck off the DayZ bandwagon.

Sequel:

Legacy of Kain - Even though the games may not have been the greatest, I loved the story, and the series never had a proper ending. Kain's ending monologue specifically stated that the biggest battle was still ahead, and there were apparently two attempts at finishing the series that got cancelled. I want my closure, darn it. A LoK MMO isn't helping. XP

Twisted Metal - Sure, the series may not be entirely "dead," but Sony surely hasn't given it the love it deserves. Twisted Metal PS3 was okay, but the offline modes sucked ass compared to the online. The series really deserves a better sequel than that.

Motorstorm - The devs are focused on DriveClub now, but I really hope they go back to Motorstorm. It was a beautiful-looking series on the PS3, and I would love to see what it can do on the PS4.

Bury:

Call of Duty - I'll admit, I loved CoD4. But then I played Modern Warfare 2, and it fell flat. I beat the single-player campaign in maybe five hours. Thank god that was a rental. I'm with Yahtzee in that I think a game should hold up on the single-player alone, and it seemed like MW2 was treating the single-player like an afterthought. That was the last CoD I played, and maybe they've started treating the single-players with more respect, but seeing Yahtzee's reviews, I kind of doubt it.

Final Fantasy - The series peaked with either VI or VII, depending on who you talk to, and has only gone downhill since. XIII was an absolute abomination. The worst JRPG I ever played. And yet it was given tons of praise by the media. Go figure.

Rez:
S.t.a.l.k.e.r. for all reasons stated above.
x universe instead of this crappy rebirth.
KOTOR for all reasons above.

Bury:
COD since it comes out too often too much with no real substance.
Assasins Creed for same reason.
All games based on movies since theyre riding hype and are all crap.

Also to those who wanted more Jade Empire, trust me I was on the test group for the think tank on the sequel and you did not want that game. The premise was so bland it felt like most sensible people feel of assasins creed or cod these days and essentially did the whole ''normal guy turns into great emperor'' thing. We'd probably be slamming the story as bad as we do for fallout 3 or skyrim right now.

FUND

Half-Life 3. Not that Valve needs the money, but where the Christ is my ending?? Trilogies come in THREE parts, Gabe. You don't ruin the Earth, imply that everything can be put right, then kill an important character and leave me hanging!

Legend of Grimrock. I'm old enough to have grown up on the old grid-based dungeon-crawlers, so I loved this game with all the affection my blackened, shriveled little heart can muster. ....I understand they just released a sequel, though, so I guess yay?

Darksiders. Two was a masterpiece. This series needs a third entry.

DESTROY

Resident Evil. Tried twice to get into this series. Punishing difficulty is all right from time to time, but impossible cameras and a character who handles like a garbage truck? What's the appeal?

Call of Duty, just because they've milked this particular dead cow for like twenty-five games now. It's over, guys. Pack it in.

So other people shouldn't have a nice thing because you don't get the appeal? Not meaning to sound combative, but I'm not a fan of that approach, seeing how deep some people get into Fifa or Football manager. I could happily live without another fantasy rpg, but I don't think they shouldn't exist.

That being said, when people say 'sports game' these days, they basically refer to one of those licensed, yearly EA sports titles, maybe including the 2K WWE games.

See, now imagine that we could have *other* sports games. More arcadey, less realistic, or more realistic but not licensed. Another Sensible Soccer. Blood Bowl and Frozen Endzone (I forget what it's called now). I would play those, because I don't want to go on a quest all the time. Hell, I've thoroughly enjoyed every tennis game I've played. Consider the massive, massive appeal of Wii Sports, and tell me that sports games are unneccessary or unwanted.

Can we keep SWAT and Ghost Recon (the originals)?

Becuase in my mind that's what a modern military shooter should be.

You do sound a little combative. I said "I'd like for those to not get released". Was just stating my personal opinion which the thread seems to be asking. If other people would see all fantasy RPG titles launched into the heart of sun, so be it. They're entitled to feel that way :)

I remember playing a Ghost Recon...and I remember it being pretty solid, even on single player. I like the idea behind SWAT as well. Those two can stay though personally I think I'd be more of a Payday fan...at least until they have a crossover.

Microsoft, why did you have to ruin Rare?
... Eh?

Nuts and Bolts was really good. Now hear me out here. I will say it was a bad game if you're looking at it as a pure platformer. In that regard, it's mediocre at best. The levels are rather lackluster too for the most part with one exception being Nutty Acres.

However, the core of the game itself, the vehicle building... That was amazing. It was genius. You can make so much awesome stuff with the vehicle building in the game. I have built a:

F15 Jet
ICBM
Freelancer's Liberty Defender
Back to the Future Delorean (Flux capacitor had to be swapped out for invisibility unfortunately. :p)
Pirate Ship with Cannons
Chess board (yes, you can totally play chess on it too if you wanted)
Motorcycle
Standalone ejector seat (bouncing around at incredible speeds with it never ceases to amuse me)
Jetpack
Halo's Warthog

And more.

Rez-

A second Remember Me - Yes, it's major premise was underused, and the combat was clunky as hell, but Nilin was frankly great and I loved the overall idea. If they just found a way to include the memory remixing into the game as a well rounded experience and made the combat smoother, it would probably be great.

A new NFS Underground game - But with better writing (yes, better writing in a racing game is possible...it has to be). Because the most fun I've ever had in a racer was Underground 2.

A new Lost Vikings. Seriously...do I have to outline why?

Bury-

Nah. Variety is the spice of life, and while there are a lot of things I refuse to buy, I don't have the right to judge what should or shouldn't be available, just the right to ask for better, like everyone else.

Metroid Prime: Best shit ever!!!
Tales of Symphonia: I know we now have Xenoblade, but this was a good first game and still an enjoyable sequel.
and I guess a new
Kid Icarus would be nice: never played Pit, but I thin something cool could be made out of this

Bury:
FIFA: EA doesn't get this correct anymore, the last 3 games have just been utter shit!

Not sure on anything else. No series I really hate that mutch :/
Does this mean I get to resurrect 2 more? :D

The Munchables: It's a simple yet fun and colorful game that went painfully unnoticed. The eating and growing mechanic along with the generally colorful atmosphere gave off a sort of Katamari Damacy sort of feel and I enjoyed slowly growing big enough to overcome previous obstacles

Rakuga Kids: I've honestly never played this game before because it's never been released in the states (despite getting a PAL release) But I absolutely love the idea of the fighters being cartoon doodles. The worst thing is that the game ended on a cliff hanger and showed us two characters that never even got names.

Fur Fighters: It was a really fun and goofy game that mixed drama and slapstick quite well ( what other game introduces an Alien parody only for a literal 21st Century Fox lawyer to come in and scold you for breaking copyright law and replacing the Alien as the boss?) . I would compare it's humor and general atmosphere to a less crude Conkers Bad Furday.

I wouldn't bury anything. If it's being made then someone is out there enjoying it.

Fair enough. I think I was most disappointed in Perfect Dark Zero though. It just wasn't as good as Perfect Dark at all.

Allow to Rise From Their Dank, Odious Pit:

Nox - I loved the game as a tot. Top down view, neat storyline, interesting/classical armor designs. It was just enjoyable all around. Therefore...sequel! Or reboot! Please!? Even though Westwood Studios is as much a rotting corpse as the game itself at this point.

X-Wing/TIE Fighter - Needs no rationale. Make it. Just make it, god damn it. It's been a good decade and a half since the last sequely thing (ie. X-Wing: Alliance, which was cool!) so...come on!

Metroid - I'm not even a fan. These folks have just waited long enough for a sequel. Get on that shit, Nintendo.

Send Flailing, Body Broken and Twisted, Into the Dark From Whence They Came:

Nothing.

I have no desire to deprive people of games they enjoy, even if I personally don't. *shrug*

Extreme G. More trance, more bikes, more tracks, more lasers, more defiance of gravity. I feel like the franchise ended just as it became as good a Wipeout, with a little more work it could easily have become better.
Man I'd thought I'd be the only person to mention this game. I loved it as a kid and I think a comeback would work well for the gravity-bending arcade kind of racer it is.

Jet Force Gemini - another awesome N64 game deserving of a remake.

Okami - Great first game and really good little sequel on the DS. I feel the series deserves more success and would love it to get a third game that was one.

Every King game past/present/future - I really hate the company and their shovelware games, especially in light of some of their business practises.

Legacy of Kain - Hey, I heard that the lead writer lost her last major job. Why not go back to one of her original works and storyboard a new tale for Kain and his possessed weapon? The god of the wheel is defeated, old vampire spirits slain, lets pull a Soulblazer and have Kain rebuild the world post-pillar collapse.
THIS.

They lined things up to actually resolve the plot in about one more game, then never released another one.

The Elder God wasn't stopped though, merely made to retreat. I'd see another Legacy of Kain title being about fixing things for the long term. Shut down the Elder God permanently, shut out the Hylden permanently, use the time-streaming device to find who the new guardians will be, get them turned into vamps as they should have been in the first place, put the sword back in Avernus Cathedral after elder Kain grabbed it but before young Kain grabbed it in the first place (thus closing the infinite Raziel loop, and preventing an unresolved but incredibly massive paradox left in place after Defiance), and finally sacrifice himself at the goddamned pillars once it's all fixed in the long term and doing so won't be in vain.

Drakan - I loved The Ancients' Gates despite its many problems. It had colorful characters, secrets galore and personality. A modern sequel could be amazing. You had an AI dragon companion you could fly. Imagine how great that would be today. Did I mention the dragon fought by itself and talked? On PS2?

Breath of Fire - BoF 3 was my first JRPG and I felt like it spoke to me. Give me another JRPG about finding your place in the world as an outsider trying to hold it down for your outcast family. FF7 did that too.

Jak and Daxter - Should it be like the first game or the second game? I don't care, they were both amazing. I'd be happy with either.

Arcanum - This deserves it, man. Industrial Middle Earth? A cultural conflict between technology and magic? A steam-punk magnetic top-hat that deflects arrows? How is this not a series?!? I killed a murderous robot by spamming home-made molotovs, and I was a hobbit.

Downhill Domination - The only downhill mountain biking game ever. It had great personality and it was so much fun. It was like SSX on bikes, but the courses were harder.

Bury:

Anything that had a trilogy that ended or a story that is clearly finished. I know, that's more than 3.
