Three years on... what would be your three wishes?

1) A Chevrolet Impala, black, 1968 and gasoline + insurances

Basically most things could be aquired by just wishing for loads of money...

The price of houses around there is so high I wouldn't ever need a job.
2: A really kickass kitchen to go with my house.
I'm tired of the worn down kitchen that I currently have to deal with.

1. 999 centillion dollars. That'll probably be enough.

2. An utterly perfect body. That means muscles, a bit more height (*cough*and length*cough*), no more food intolerances (fructose AND lactose!) impervious to disease...The whole deal. I'd probably have to spend a few months figuring out exactly how to phrase it while keeping it all one question and not leaving any room for loopholes or misinterpretation, but I could figure it out. Because I don't like being short and I miss eating pizza with cheese on it.

3. A functioning TARDIS. YOU CAN'T PROVE IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!

OT: Three wishes eh?

Well, I'll go with the following

1. Control over my own lifespan and death date (immortality with a loophole) (possible through science. Think becoming a cyborg.)

2. The ability to slow time and move about without affecting anything (think "burst linking" from accel world) (possible if we can speed up brain functions. Think augmented realities.)

3. The ability to travel through time while allowing myself to return to my original timeline (time travel with a safety switch) (Mostly think of it as travelling to parallel dimensions/universes which could be possible if science permits.)

But since those may be a little too OP, I'll go with the following

1. Transference of my mind and/or body into that of a machine. (possible through improved life-support and neural interfacing or through turning myself into a walking cyborg with a brain in a jar or scanning my brain patterns into a machine.)

2. A small army of robots to connect to my network that have the ability to outfit themselves with different tools for different jobs (possible with advances in robotics and programming)

3. A expansive underground bunker outfitted with a near unlimited power source (fusion and/or fission), enough fuel to last 1000 years inside said bunker, a secure connection to the outside world (both internet and tunnel) and enough servers to suffice the growth of technology over 1000 years.

Basically I want to become a god or a machine lord.

Edit: But again, those may be too OP.

Im fairly boring when it comes to wishes:

1) An obscenely large amount of money making me one of the worlds richest men.
By extension this also makes me very powerful as money=power in our society. So 2 for 1 really.

2) Advances in cellular research that in essence makes eternal youth/immortality within reach, we already have the theory on how to cancel out the effects of ageing by cellular regeneration, we just don't know how to do this for neurons in the brain.
This procedure would of course be stupidly expensive, but as wish 1 established, i can afford it.

3)Honestly a 3rd is just overkill. That i use my newfound wealth and privilege for good and the advancement of our species rather then being a typical selfish and self serving dousche that uses my clout to enforce my beliefs on the rest of the world?

Good evening Escapists, today it is a full three years since I joined the Escapist and so as is customary here is my three year thread. Little did I know on 31st March 2010 when I joined the Escapist forums to comment on a "three wishes" thread that this site would become such a great part of my life. You have all given this old diving suit a second home online and so thank you for that.

Okay, enough about me. In the spirit of the first thread I ever posted in, I ask you: what would be your three wishes if offered them by a genie / lepracharm / mod etc? There are just two rules:

1) No wishing for more wishes!

2) You must wish for something which could be hypothetically possible in real life, i.e. no wishing to become a super-powered god. Something ridiculous but possible like bringing a allosarus back to life using science(!) is permittable.

So, what would be your wishes Escapists?

1) I wish there were no such confines on what I could wish for

2) I wish for all of my wishes to be followed to the spirit of the wish at the time at which it was made, rather than the letter.

3) I wish for unlimited wishes.


Beyond that I'd probably have to call a good lawyer and see how to fix the reigning problems in the world using my first 2 wishes.
Then I might treat myself by asking for something really cool

And then I don't need other wishes, because I can solve everything else from there.
