[HEADING=1]THUGS - A Team Rocket RP[/HEADING]

Giovanni rested in his chair, paging through his reports. New trainers were becoming less and less interested in challenging the Elite Four. Most seemed content in only staying around their local gyms. This fit well with him. No more potential rivals. He had long ago eliminated his brother and his rival group in the streets of Celadon and the splinter gangs were slowly being incorporated into the body of the Rocket beast.

"Sir?" said a scientist at the door.

"Enter."

"We have news about the project on the island. It seems the experiment is going well and will be completed in a few weeks."

"Excellent. Leave."

He allowed himself a brief moment to smile. Already his team was tough enough to discourage the Gym Leaders from challenging Team Rocket directly. With this new Pokemon he could finally march into the Pokemon League and achieve his dream of complete mastery over the region. Sipping from his glass and giving his Meowth a quick pet he continued reading.

"A good number of Silph Co. shares were bought up by Kanto businessmen last weekend as the company went public." Yes, this was going well. "New discoveries in Mt. Moon lead to new theories about Pokemon evolution." I will investigate this. "Rocket members in Lavender town...."

Giovanni's small smile vanished as he read on. "...were arrested attempting to steal from the Pokemon Tower. One witness reported that they were 'digging up old graves in order to take precious mementos from the coffins. I was appalled.'. The Rocket members were taken to the top floor of the tower and placed civilian arrest there by local Pokemon trainers. Representatives from Saffron say a police detachment will be..."

Giovanni threw the newspaper into fire pit raging to his left and stood up slowly. "Petrel!!"

The executive slid into the room quickly. "Yes sir?!?"

"Lavander town is holding Green team. Dispatch another team to exact revenge."

"Which team do you wish?"

"That Alex fellow. He was quite effective here in Celadon recently. Get them to go."

"His team is newly formed."

"He's more than capable of taking care of anyone who gets in his way on his own. Now do as you're told."

The odd man left his sight quickly and Giovanni paused to think about his organization. A good number of them were still young and relatively inexperienced but his executives have done their roles well. Almost fanatical... The perfect pawns. It distressed him that normal citizens still didn't fear Rockets enough to cease resisting. Perhaps it was time to give Alex some special orders...

[HEADING=2]Spring - 1997[/HEADING]

Celadon was soaking wet, the rain falling incessantly on the indifferent populace. The children were inside playing with toys or cuddling with their Pokémon pals. The adults were content to sit and listen to the government debates over whether Johto should have a separate Pokemon HQ or not. Fireplaces were burning and the social elite were content to wait for the rain to stop before returning to the markets for food.

The streets were much less cozy.

Max tramped through the rain, oblivious to the cold. Yellow team, a part of Team Rocket which had been spread out across the countryside on a recruitment drive was gathering in the city for the first time in two months. Alex, the team leader had been summoned by the executive and that meant everyone had to be there for an inspection. A police officer leaning against the side of a building to stay out of the rain glared at him and his black uniform. Without stopping Max simply gave him the finger and continued onwards.

Despite the rain, he could see abandoned houses on the block he was traveling down. In years previous he would have taken advantage of those vacationing in Cinnabar and broken in. It was tempting but Team Rocket demanded total obedience. If he went and did that the bribed police would be given permission to take him in. Only Rocket sanctioned thefts would be ignored in the city. Not that there was a shortage of those. The rich pricks would soon come home to find everything they loved and cherished gone. Serves them right for complacently thinking bad things never happen.

Max went down a back alley and saw a little runt of a trainer coaching his Rattata to resist the cold.

"Come on Rattata! You can do it! I heard on the news that Ice Pokémon can stop a battle in its tracks! Let's show them we can do it!"

The little rat didn't even respond, it was shivering much too violently.

"Hey kid," said Max with a fake smile, "don't you know that you need to throw the rat into a freezer to make him stronger?"

The kid looked at his uniform and scowled. "That's not a funny joke Rocket. My Dad told me all about you guys."

Max went over and leaned over the poor rat Pokémon.

"That's not fair son. We're not as bad as they say. If you come with me I'll show you how to become a real trainer."

The little boy quickly jumped in front of his Pokémon.

"You're not stealing my Rattata!"

"No, no I'm not." said Max, pointing at the Pokémon. To his horror the boy turned around and saw a Zubat sucking the life out of the tired rat. Max picked up the boy by the back of his coat and lifted him off the ground.

"Lemme go!"

"Rockets run this city. You'd better go tell your asshole of a father that." said Max, taking the few dollars the boy had on him. He also took the coat off of the screaming ten year old, hitting him to quiet him down.

"No... Stop..."

The Zubat perched on Max's shoulder having finished off the rat which lay unconscious on the pavement.

"If you want to get used to the cold you'd better get used to walking home without a coat." said Max, laughing as he walked away. The bruised boy pulled out his Pokéball and ran home after returning his weak Pokémon to safety.

Coming to the back door of the game corner he knocked loudly.

"Steal Pokémon for profit. Exploit Pokémon for profit. All Pokémon exist for the glory of Team Rocket."

The door opened and he nodded to the grunt watching the door. Sitting down by a heater he waited for the rest of yellow team to arrive. His Zubat hung on the rafters above him, watching over its master silently.

Rocket Name:Leels, Team Yellow Rocket

Appearance: pretty, shoulder-length black hair she keeps in a ponytail, wears glasses without lenses because she doesn't need them, but she likes the way she looks in them. Refuses to wear anything exclusively feminine, instead opting for jeans that fit her well and t-shirts with designs of her favorite pokemon on them(she has a Machamp,a Vulpix, an Arbok, and a Dratini at the moment)

Gender:Female

Age:21

Initial Pokemon:Machoke,Ekans,Dratini

Biography:Born into a well-to-do family, she was sent off to boarding school where she learned about pokemon and looked for every scrap of information she could. She used her family's money to buy her first pokemon, a Machop, which she used to catch her Dratini.

She found out that her family had connections to Team Rocket and instantly wanted to join, as she'd always had a prank streak running through her. She liked the challenge of thievery and the thrill she got when she got away with it. When she joined she found an Ekans slithering around a compound and adopted him, she has been known to sleep curled around him from time to time.

Reason for joining: She wanted adventure, fun, and you know, since her family cut her off from their money for joining them, the pay's good too.

Character name: Max Lewis

Rocket name: Lieutenant Commander Yellow, #15282

Appearance: Blue hair although he regularly shaves it bald. He is well built, has red eyes and has the standard Rocket tattoo on his right arm. He has come to maintain his hygiene in stark contrast to his past due to the necessity of impressing the high ranking Rockets who occasionally inspect the membership.

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Initial Pokemon: Nidorino, Kakuna, Zubat.

Biography: Born on a farm south of Celadon, Max eventually fled his abusive father to try and etch a living and become part of the real world. Reality was not kind to him and he was frequently mocked for lacking a Pokemon of his own. Stealing a Nidoran, he started his descent into thug life. He became a thief and was eventually caught robbing a house. He spent a good number of his formative years bouncing between the streets and jail. His history with numerous street gangs and fiercely battling has made his Pokemon tough and pain resistant.

Reasons for joining Team Rocket (if not already stated): When a Team Rocket group broke into the Celadon city jail to free a number of their members who had been arrested on the roads outside of the city, Max fell in with them. Starting as a low level grunt, being given a Weedle and a Zubat, he helped the Rocket group become the dominant force in the Kanto underworld. Achieving a promotion, he became a member of the Yellow team. He remains in the harsh Rocket environment out of a desire to some day ruin the lives of those who jeered at him in the streets and to become rich serving Giovanni.

Character name: Zane

Appearance: Mouse brown hair, which is shaggy but not long. He is short and has a thin but muscular build. He has brown eyes that are so dark as to be almost black, and is just handsome enough to be unremarkable and just ugly enough to be unremarkable. When out of uniform he wears a black tank top and cargo pants usually.

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Pokemons: Mankey, rattata, zubat.

Bio: Zane was born as Peter Zowdski, and his father was a crime boss stationed in Celedon city, losing territory to the Rockets and to Erika. Having 6 older brothers and sisters, and a couple of younger ones, Peter was largely ignored by his family, his mother having left town and his father just not caring. As a child, Peter was aggressive and angry most of the time, getting into fights at school. His pastime was going into the wild and fighting the wild pokemon there, taking his aggression out on rattatas, pidgeys, and the occasional oddish. He would be cruel to his classmates, but not to the wild pokemon. After he beat them he let them be. As he grew up he learned how to control his aggression better, and though he continued to get into fights in the wild, he no longer fought at school. Instead, he began to turn to stealing. After many petty crimes, some against other kids, some against adults, he stole his first pokemon at 15. He ambushed a trainer in the wild, knocking him unconscious before the trainer could pull out his pokemon. He ran off with one of the pokeballs, revealing a freshly caught mankey. The mankey immediately attacked (as mankeys are wont to do) but Peter was stronger and beat it, forcing the mankey to give him its loyalty. Since the mankey hadn't had any attachment to the previous trainer (being freshly caught) it did so, respecting Peter's strength. Though Peter did not care about the mankey on a personal level, he respected and liked it as a useful tool, and treated it relatively well. He taught the mankey how to help him steal, how to fight with Peter, and how to fight by himself. The mankey enjoyed the challenges much like Peter did, and since Peter made sure to reward the mankey for a job well done, Peter won the mankeys loyalty.

Reason for joining the Rockets: At 16 Peter was caught breaking into a well to do Celedon house. He was arrested and thrown into PokeJail. The police tried to use him as a bargaining chip to get to his father, but his father merely said "let the disappointment rot". Mankey helped Peter break out later that night. Feeling betrayed, Peter ran off, catching a rattata and zubat in his travels before joining Team Rocket, partly to spite his father, and partly to be in an organization that appreciated his talents (stealing and beating things) and put them to "good" use. He lives mostly for the challenge, whether it be a difficult fight or a complex thieving job.

As a quick side note, he lied about his age, and changed his name. The Rockets think he is currently 18. And he decided Zane was way cooler than Peter, so he was going to be Zane.

Character name: Mayu Reimi

Rocket name: Rocket Grunt #1215129

Appearance: Mayu has long black hair that falls down to the small of her back, normally allowed to fall freely but occasionally tied into a twin-tail style, with the two braids falling down her back with a hair tie at the end. She has emerald green eyes which always seem to have a mischievous glint to them.

Gender: Female

Age: 07

Initial Pokemon: Vulpix, Rattata

Biography: Mayu was born in Viridian City, where she loved seeing the various trainers coming and going, as well as the hopefuls trying to make their way to the Pokemon League. It didn't take long for Mayu to want to become a trainer of her own, and she even battled her beloved Vulpix, which had been given to her from her father, against some of the trainers every now and then. She and her Vulpix grew close together, but the goal of becoming a trainer always seemed so far away! It was on her seventh birthday when she heard of Team Rocket, who stole Pokemon to become stronger. She thought that Team Rocket was her ticket into becoming a great trainer without having to be ten! If she couldn't catch pokemon legally, then she would just take them! She packed her belongings quietly in the middle of the night and before anyone knew it she had disappeared into the night with her Vulpix. Her parents still think she's missing.

Reasons for joining Team Rocket (if not already stated): Mayu wanted to join Team Rocket in order to gain more Pokemon, just like a normal trainer though with less legal methods. She traveled across the land, searching far and wide, when one day she spotted Team Rocket holding up a trainer, though they were at a stalemate. Figuring this was her chance, she used her Vulpix to attack the trainer and his Pokemon, successfully helping the Rockets and gaining the necessary trust to join.

Character name: Damian Erion

Rocket name: Damian

Appearance: Damian stands at a tall 6'4" and weighs around 220 lbs of lean muscle. He has short brown hair that he keeps spiked in a faux hawk [http://s4.hubimg.com/u/2816979_f520.jpg] and has a five o clock shadow most of the time. He has the team rocket logo tattooed on his left forearm as well as the word "POWER" tattooed on his right forearm.

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Initial Pokemon: Farfetch'd, Abra, Zubat

Biography: Damian was born to a single mother in Fuschia city. He became intrigued by the safari zone from a young age and always wanted to explore what was inside of the safari zone but his family did not have the money to afford it. Damian started to save up his money so he could go inside the safari zone and at the age of 14 he finally saved up enough to go in. When he finally got enough money he rushed home only to discover that his mother was gone.

Damian's neighbor saw that Damian had returned and rushed to tell him that his mother was gravely sick and that they rushed her to the hospital. When he made it to the hospital his mother was already gone but she left him a note telling him to live his life to the fullest and to never be sad with what has happened. Damian was heart broken and sulked in his house for a week without any contact from others. After a week he decided that he couldn't just sulk around, at that point he remembered that he had enough money to go to the safari zone where he had always wanted to go.

On his way to the safari zone he noticed that people were talking about him, rumors had started to spread after his mother died and everyone suddenly thought he was a delinquent. It made him a little angry but he was able to make it to the safari zone. He was amazed by what he saw and started to walk around. After about an hour of walking around looking at the wild pokemon he decided to take a nap near one of the lakes. When he awoke he discovered a farfetch'd was looking at him. The second damian moved the farfetch'd smacked him with it's leek and ran away. Angry at being slapped he gave chase and after about a 10 minute battle with the farfetch'd he threw his only pokeball at it and was able to catch it. Feeling exhausted and slightly giddy that he finally caught a pokemon of his own damian decided to go back home.

Over the next two weeks the rumors had spread across the whole town and whenever Damian stepped outside he was met with the glares of the townsfolk and he couldn't understand why. He started to get angry at the villagers for thinking him to be a delinquent for no reason and just wanted to get out of the city. He had no way out since he could not afford to go out on an adventure like the other kids but one day that all changed.

There was a team rocket attack at the fuschia city pokemon center and suddenly Damian discovered a way out of fuschia city. He followed to where the team rocket grunts went to and found them two days later. When he asked to join them the grunts told him to buzz off but Damian didn't give up. Damian had challenged one of them to a battle and after a short battle he was defeated pretty easily. Impressed by his fighting spirit they told him that they could probably find a use for him so they let him join. He has spent the past few years as a part of team rocket and has shown to be completely loyal to team rocket.

Character name: Dylan Giesler

Rocket Name: Dylan, Team Yellow Rocket

Appearance: 5'10, silver hair, blue eyes, skinny build. He has a rather handsome face, but he likes to hide it by wearing glasses that makes him look like a nerd. He's the type who tends to analyze things and planning before attacking, that's why he always looks like he's thinking deeply. When not in duty, he looks a lot more laid back and relaxed.

Gender: Male

Age: 17

initial Pokemon: Ditto, Drowzee, Grimer

Bio:
Even before he was born, Dylan was already destined to become a team rocket member. He is a part of a family of team rocket members, so whether he wants it or not, he knew he will be enlisted in team rocket. Later in his life, it was discovered that he is a really talented pokemon trainer, and when the superiors saw this, he became in demand for missions. He usually ignores his duties as a team rocket member and try to live a normal life, but each and every time, he would get pulled out from whatever he is doing, which irritates him very much. He hates being called into missions, but when he does have one, he doesn't let anything get in his way of achieving his goal. He is best known for his expertise in spying and intelligence gathering.

Reason for joining team rocket: Family issues

Character name: Kuro (Last name unknown)

Rocket name: Junior Stealth Operative Kuro (Also known as "The kid" or "That sneaky brat")

Appearance: Red spiky hair, slim and bit short for his age, dresses mostly in a black Team Rocket uniform, when he's at the base. At other times, his misions may need him to wear clothes which blend in better.

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Initial Pokemon: Haunter (Nickname: Hannah)

Biography: As an infant, he was left in the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town, where he was found by a wild Ghastly, who took care of him ever since, "borrowing" food and clothes for him, until he was old enough to come along. By the time he could speak, the Ghastly had long evolved into a Haunter and Kuro began calling her Hannah.
Over the years several trainers tried to catch Hannah, and eventually, Kuro caught Hannah to protect her from those trainer.
Together they stole various things to survive, enjoying eachother's company.
However, they began enjoying the thrill of getting into heavily guarded places and stealing things from there, not just stealing anymore for survival. This is how Team Rocket found him, at age 12, after stealing some shiny technological valuables, which he had no idea what they where for from one of their vaults. (He would have gotten away with it if one of the devices he stole, didn't have a tracking beacon on it.)
He got beaten up by some Team Rocket grunts after that, but his talents didn't go unnoticed to some of the higher-ups so he was given the choice, either join Team Rocket, using his talents for their cause or say goodbye to Hannah.
The choice was easy, especially since Team Rocket would provide him with food and clothes and education, which he never had had before. Not to mention, he got to steal more, though stealing wasn't the only thing he had to do...

Character name: Scott

Rocket name: Rocket Grunt Scott #7575

Appearance: Large stature, standing 6'4" with a thick build, not muscular but thick. Dark Brown hair cut short and styled up in the front, Green eyes and light skin His face is riddled with small scars and imperfections from many many beatings from superiors. Scott wears the standard issue Rocket uniform that has seen some serious wear and is quite tattered despite Scott's every effort to keep it tip top.

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Initial Pokemon: Meowth, Poliwag, Growlithe

Biography: Born into the world of the Rockets, Scott's was destined to be a criminal. His father a career rocket grunt often told grand stories of his jobs and spoils. Despite being an excellent villain and showing remarkable promise, Scott's father chose to remain at the rank of Grunt to stay in the action. At the age of 10 Scott's father gave him a Growlithe, the two became the best of friends. At the age of 13 that friendship turned into a partnership pulling small jobs and accompanying his father on minor missions Scott and Growlithe were the perfect team. Finally when Scott turned 18 he and his partner Red were recruited as rockets. Scott took part in various small jobs but has recently been suspended in Celedon city. He spent most of his time at the game corner drinking away his loot waiting for a job.

Character Name: Dirk Stevens

Rocket Name: Grunt No. 16572

Gender: Male

Age: 34

Appearance: Standing at 5?10? and weighing in at 175lbs, Dirk is of an athletic build. He has pale skin, blonde, short, unkempt hair and dull green eyes. His face is perpetually covered in cuts and bruises and his nose has obviously been broken in multiple places over the years. It?s probably fair to say he?s not the best looking bloke around, although he may have been once. He?s almost always slouching and does a good job of appearing unnoticeable which he does as much as possible.

Initial Pokemon: Voltorb, Ryhorn, Grimer.

Biography: Born and raised in Viridian, Dirk was an aspiring trainer in his youth. He was never a particularly nice person, however. Things which were taught to him as unacceptable never bothered him. He lied and cheated and stole. Of course he made sure he didn?t get caught. Still, he was a good battler and dreamt of the Pokemon league. Not that his parents would have any of that. So as soon as he left home at 20 he embarked on the gym challenge. Unfortunately, a string of losses and bad luck left him stranded in Saffron. Running low on basic needs, he turned to crime and discovered he had a knack for it. Theft, intimidation, mugging, you name it, he?d done it. It fit like a glove. Then the Rockets moved in and started impinging on his territory. It annoyed him at first but after many years he came work with them and rely on them. He?s finally decided he might as well join up. It pays better than solo work and it?s easier. A few years on a cushy shift, a couple of promotions and he should be set.

Character Name: Caid Murdock

Rocket Name: Caid

Appearance: Older, but still pretty, with dull gray eyes and slicked back black hair that goes to about her neck. She's about 6'1 and has a bit of muscle on her with the definition to match. For the clothing, she wears a bandanna over her hair, the normal Rocket Grunt uniform- on which she cut down the top so it's more exposing- and wears her old gloves, boots and jacket from her Kanto Rider Federation days over them. It's also said (not normally to her face) that she smells like a Muk that's been in the sun for a week.

Gender: Female

Age: 30

Inital Pokemon: Ekans, Magnemite, Koffing

Biography: Born in Fuscia City, Caid would watch the visitors come and go from Fuscia Gym with their Pokemon in their arms, crying over what poison would do to them and she decided that Poison was gonna be her type of choice. She got an Ekans for her birthday and it was her constant companion, usually the first thing she sent out in the battle. She always had a love for the cycling road, often running up and down it without a bike until the gate guard would catch her, and as soon as she got enough money by shaking down the other neighborhood kids, she sent away to Cerulean for one of their overpriced bikes. After a few years of messing about with that on cycling road, she bought a motorcycle from the money she got by stomping the young trainers looking to get to Fuscia from Celadon. Eventually, she fell in with the Kanto Rider Federation and developed quite the gambling streak, due to having a constant stream of money from the road, but bet one too many chips on that slot machine while she was trying to win a Porygon, so she fell into debt. She decided to join the Rockets mainly as a source of income, but also enjoys that they get to wreck stuff and intimidate people.

Reason for joining: Money, mainly, and also for the chance to push around the snot nosed brats that come around and think their Rattata's are so great and break things, and to be around people that felt otherwise. It's the first family she'd had since the Riders, and loves every minute of it.

Character name: Mikaela Yurlov

Rocket name: Ellie

Appearance: Ellie has long dark hair, soft and feathery, that hangs dead straight to her lower back. Roughly cut bangs hang down her forehead and between her eyes, framing her face and holding her cheeks. Her right eye is icy blue, the color of antartic waters where only the strong survive. Ellie's other eye is a milky white, it's color long lost in the mist, its sight long swallowed by darkness. She's of average height, but underweight. She wears a male version of the rocket uniform that is too big, so she wears a white tank top underneath the shirt, and always has to wear a plain belt. A pair of brass knuckles frequently grace her fingers, when not in her pockets, and she frequently has a cigarette lit in her mouth or behind her ear. Her body has various scars on it, but they are all covered up by her uniform 24/7.

Gender: F

Age: 23

Initial Pokemon: Nidorina, Ponyta, Zubat

Biography: You could say Ellie was born in Lavender Town, but that wouldn't be completely accurate. She was abandoned in Lavender town by her family when she was only 5 months, left outside on a bench during the dark night. She was eventually taken in by an elderly woman, who raised her until she could talk and walk. It wasn't an easy time: the old woman was an alcoholic, and unfortunately still in shape. She would put out her cigarettes on Ellie's arms when she misbehaved, or throw empty bottles at her when she wouldn't stay quiet enough. On her 7th birthday, she was put on a leash and treated like a slave, made to do the cooking and cleaning in exchange for a place in the doghouse and dinner scraps. She was an obedient captive, trained to keep her mouth shut and to do what she was told.

It was by accident that she gained freedom: a few months after she turned 17, the old lady died suddenly. Ellie sat in the yard for 2 days after her water ran out before she had to leave. The outside world wasn't a mystery to her. She had seen plenty from her trips to the store and from between the fence, but it was so different to be free. Unlike the other street urchin, she did have a house, just no identity, and no means to get a job.

She got her food by stealing, whether from stores or from houses or from people. At first her style was feral, animal, but she slowly developed a more elegant and fluid fighting style. It was good for a few months, until she happened to steal from the wrong person. It took 5 seconds for a simple wallet snatch to go bad, and she found herself face to face with a Sandslash, and an angry trainer. When she woke up in the hospital, she knew she needed a pokemon.

The next time she jumped a trainer, she threw his pokemon balls away first, beating him into the dust with her fists, and then putting on his belt as her own. The first pokemon was a Graveler, too attached to its trainer to listen to her. She sold it to the next shady person she saw. The second was a Pigeotto, but it flew away as soon as it saw her, and what she had done to its trainer, so she was forced to abandon it. The third was a small, blue, Nidoran. It ran behind a garbage can, staring out at her suspiciously. She was in for a nasty surprise when she tried to grab it, its poisonous spines piercing her skin.

After she got out of the hospital again, she found out that they had kept the Nidoran, thinking that it was hers. That suited her fine. She whet its teeth at first on the ratatas and pidgeys that littered the area, and then on the wild pokemon in the grass of Route 10, and then in trainer battles. She might have been a pokemon trainer herself had it not been for the fact that inside, she was still utterly and completely broken. All it took was for a Team Rocket Lieutenant to beat the shit out of her and her pokemon, and tell her that she would never amount to anything without proper training, and she was a slave again. Steal Pokemon for profit. Exploit Pokemon for profit. All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket

Character name: ???? Marino

Rocket name: Wex, #521432

Appearance: Muddy brown hair. He has a slim build, dark green eyes. His Rocket uniform is faded and his cap is splattered with white paint.

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Initial Pokemon: Rattata, Rattata, Rattata, Rattata.

Biography: Born in Celadon as the son of a notorious mobster, he fled as a kid during Giovanni's rise to prominence in the underground. Lacking a good education, he slipped into crime and became the youngest member of The Wild Rats. Captured when the Rockets raided his tiny gang hideout, he was conscripted into the black. He lies low within the team, easily accomplished with his lack of notable battling skills and oddly friendly manner. Terrified of his 'comrades', he remains in the shadows but curiosity does gnaw at him about the new grunts in Yellow. They were the first he spoke up to.

Reasons for joining Team Rocket (if not already stated): Was captured. Supposedly remains in the Team to dream of avenging his family but in reality he's grown too used to it to abandon it.

Name: Addison Stanwick (Or Addy, she's not especially fussed with how she's addressed)

Appearance: Of average build, though somewhat on the short side. Has messy, light brown hair hanging from underneath the cap of her Rocket uniform to about the base of her neck in the back, though's it's shorter everywhere else so as not to get in the way. Carries a well worn messanger bag, in which she keeps a first aid kit and a few personal belongings. Generally has a pair of safety goggles hanging around her neck and often wears a heavily stained labcoat with her uniform unless ordered otherwise or on a mission requiring sneaking in the dark. Tends to have a clinical sort of scent about her, the sort of sterile chemical smell one would associate with hospitals.

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Initial Pokemon: Gloom, Koffing.

Biography: Born and raised in Viridian, Addison's early life was quite normal, just another kid, this one with a pet Oddish. Possessing a fascination for biology and how things work, she completed her education, specialising in Grass types and began working as an intern at a pokemon center, planning to eventually look at working towards having her own laboratory and a Professor title in front of her name.

Unfortunately for her grand plans, this game plan came to an abrupt end when she was fired not for a lack of talent but for a lack of ethics, as her own curiousity and fascination lead to her begin hanging back after her shifts had ended, lurking in the backrooms of the center and conducting her own experiments on subjects such as the difference in reactions between different pokemon subjected to the same attacks often courtesy of the Gloom the Oddish had become and its numerous toxins, among other things. Submitting her findings to Professor Oak, proved her undoing, as his objection to the way she had carried out her work was very vocal, thus leading to the loss of her job.

Reason for Joining: With her more legal pathway towards the scientific community since closed off, Addison joined Team Rocket in hopes of working her way into their science division. With any luck they won't have as many moral restraints on their research topics there...

Name: Rex King

Rocket Name: "Caligula", Rocket Grunt #81237

Appearance: Male Average length brown hair, very well kept, with two curls forming from his parted bangs. Snow blue eyes, average colored skin, and a rough looking face, but rough with thin angles, not scruff. His chin comes to a harsh point. He's about 5'10" and wears his Rocket grunt uniform with a large cut down the center of the vest.

Gender: Male.

Age: 28

Initial Pokemon: Doduo, Venonat, Ponyta

Biography: Rex was just your average Joe from your average town with your average Gym. He had average parents with average jobs, so they weren't surprised when Rex said he wanted to start training pokemon.

They were worried.

Rex King had a knack for evil. Not just nasty neighborhood kid pranks like egging houses and clogging toilets. Rex would burn down people's garden's and watch the flames dance in the trees, and he would smile. Rex King would frequently steal repels from his local pokemon store and spray them in the faces of pokemon he didn't like. Rex King would smash windows and kick Ratattas for the hell of it. People didn't see Rex as that annoying neighborhood kid who needed to go to classes; people were scared of Rex. And never once in his life did he not wear that grin of his.

He kept this up until he was eighteen, when he could be tried as an adult instead of put through childish punishments. Ten years and he's had no fun. It drove Rex crazy thinking about it. He couldn't have fun like this, normal things were so BORING. He had to think of a way, a way to start being... evil again. And that's when he remembered the Rockets. Team Rocket, the most vile scum in the region. Team Rocket, the people your parents told stories about when you were little to make you go to sleep. He'd go to them, he thought. And so he did. Right to them he went. Amongst some Rockets, they say that when Rex showed up, he was smiling from ear to ear, and everyone was silent as he walked to Giovanni. Nobody knows how he found them, or how he found their boss, just that he offered his services to Giovanni on the spot. People started calling him "Caligula" for his, well, insanity.

Reason for joining: Solely to avoid the law so he can do as he pleases.

Character name: Ava (No last name Given)

Rocket Name: (Whichever rank she currently holds)

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Appearance: Ava stands at approximately 5'9" with a slim, slender figure. She appears underdeveloped for a woman of her age; that, along with her soft facial features, lend her the appearance of being a teenager rather than the young woman she is.

Her skin is pale, with red eyes which are almost always obscured by her dark purple hair fashioned into a shaggy asymmetrical bob cut that reaches about chin length. A large portion of the right side of her face is covered by her long bangs.
She does this in an attempt to hide the long, jagged scar on her right cheek which stretches from her ear to her mouth.

Her uniform is the standard for female grunts, fitted to her size. Her hat is several sizes too large, but she enjoys it that way as it obscures the top portion of her face. While not working she still chooses to dress in the full uniform, though she occasionally ditches the hat.

Initial Pokemon: Pidgeotto, Geodude, Oddish.

Bio: Being born poor and alone, Ava was placed into a lower end orphanage in Saffron City. Upset at her lot in life, she turned to thievery in an attempt to improve it. By the time she was 10, Ava was traveling around the Kanto region, living solely by her wits and charms.

While traveling around Viridian City, Ava came across a lone and injured pidgey. After taking the injured pokemon to the nearby Pokemon Center, Ava struck up a bond with the pidgey and took the bird pokemon as her own.

Into her teens Ava continued her aimless trek around the region with the pidgey as her only companion. Times were harder for Ava during this period of her life, and she was forced to do some less than savory things to ensure that she had food and a place to spend the night. Her time spent wandering as a member of Kanto's criminal population came to a brief end when a botched robbery left her face permanently scarred

Ava tried to go straight as a professional pokemon trainer after that. For a while, the trainer lifestyle seemed to suit her; Pidgey had evolved into pidgeotto and she added a geodude and an oddish to her team. But she eventually came to realize that she lacked the drive, skill, and patience necessary to become competitive in the world of professional training, and she soon found herself back to her thieving ways, now aided by her new pokemon.

After landing herself in jail during a botched robbery of the museum in Pewter City, a gruff looking man wearing a dark uniform with a striking red "R" emblazoned on the chest entered Ava's cell. He told her about the existence of a certain group, and that they could find a use for a person with her skills...

Reason for joining team rocket: Ava's life up until then had been lacking in direction and connection with her fellow humans. Seeing no better alternatives, Ava accepted the offer to join.
Despite working on her own for most of her life, she follows orders well and has very few qualms about the lengths Team Rocket is willing to go to during their operations. For now, Ava sees working with the Rockets as a suitable use of her time and skills.

Zane stood in the rain, staring at the back door of Celedon's game corner. He had been glad to get away from the city for a while in the Rocket's training programs, but he had to admit it was good to be back. Going through and looking at his favorite haunts, the places where he had battled and bled, the houses he had robbed, the alley's where he had ambushed and mugged the complacent...

He stood outside in his Rocket uniform, enjoying the discomfort of the rain for a moment more. The last year had been tough, but he had made it. He was a Rocket. Finally, belonging to a group that would understand his talents and put them to good use. He was tired of being directionless, tired of wasting his life with petty crime. He was ready for the big leagues.

He strode up to the door and knocked. "Steal Pokemon for profit. Exploit Pokemon for profit. All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket."

A grunt opened the door and let him in. Ahead he saw a bald, grim looking Rocket. Knowing that the man had to be a higher rank than him, Zane saluted.

"Rocket Grunt Zane, yellow team, reporting sir!"

Leela walked through the rain, her Machoke holding an umbrella covering both of them. She wore her Vulpix shirt today, hoping that the image of the fire-type would warm her on this cold day.

She shivered,"Why does it always have to be so cold here when it rains? Why can the sun never be shining? Or at least only an hour or two of rain. No matter, Rainyday likes these days."

Her Machoke grumbled herself, uncomfortable in the rain just as much as her master, but she knew how much Rainy enjoyed the rain.

She looked out to her side, seeing her Dratini frolicking in the rain, he enjoyed it way too much for her to feel anything but jealousy, she wished she could be as happy as he apparently was.

"Raiiiiiny, come on boy, we've got work to do," The Dratini visibly frowned, unhappy to not have more time to play in the rain, singing in his own little way, but he did wander over and ready himself to be put back into his pokeball.

She kneeled down, cupped her hands, gathered a bit of rain and dropped it on Rainy's head, the pokemon trilled happily, knowing the gesture from their few years together. She then got out his pokeball and put him in, now content to be taken away from the rain.

She and the Machoke walked to the gaming center, proved her affiliation to the grunt guarding the door and went in. Machoke followed her in and set the umbrella down in the convenient stand next to the door. After hugging her Machoke, she wandered as close to the heater, where a man sat. The two of them dried off as best they could, wringing the damp out of her hair.

She turned to the man next to her,"Soooo, it's kinda wet out today isn't it?"

Max merely nodded at Zane, gesturing to a chair beside the heater. "We need to dry off before we meet with the commander. I'm to be your Lieutenant from now on."

He studied the younger Rocket with interest. Motivated, tough and apparently obedient. The boys who took him on patrol did a good job with this one. Hell, this Zane almost reminded Max of himself when he first joined the ranks.

The door opened again and he stared at the young woman who had entered incredulously. He grimaced at her appearance.

"Where is your uniform? Why isn't it on? Return that Pokemon to its ball." he said coldly.

"Cool it man, Machoke, I'm sorry, but back in your pokeball," She took out a pokeball and in a flash of light, Machoke was inside. She pulled her jacket off her waist after her shirt dried enough and put it on, the big,red 'R' emblazoned upon it.

"A bit unconventional I suppose, but they work better when I use them as equals."

She sat down by the heater and took off her glasses, sliding them into a pocket of her pants.

"So, I suppose we've got a job lined up, boss?"

"We'll be learning that from the commander. He's talking with Proton downstairs." said Max, nodding to more Yellow team grunts entering through the back door. These were his regulars, the mooks who had been running with him since the early days. Drunks, idiots and sadists. "You boys go play out front for a bit, it's getting crowded back here. I'll call you when Alex wants us."

The grunts grinned and went off to play the slots. It was funny. They worked so hard for their pay and then they blew it all away trying to win. Only officers knew that when Rockets played the slots the machines were set to lower the odds of winning dramatically.

"In the meantime we'll wait for the rest of the new recruits to give us the pleasure of their company."

There was a small period of silence. The grunt by the door spoke up.

"Did you guys hear? That Jessie broad and James got another promotion."

"Shut it." said Max, closing his eyes. His cloths were still damp but he liked the silence. Idle chatter was annoying anyway.

Zane stood by the heater and let his clothes dry, observing his teammates. He liked the lieutenant, the man was serious and tough. He looked and seemed intimidating and powerful, like a good leader. An older part of Zane wanted to fight him, but it was getting easier to ignore that part when he had to.

He wasn't sure what to think of the newest arrival though. Zane didn't like wearing the uniform much either, but the Rockets were the ones with the pay and the jobs. And keeping a pokemon out of the pokeball when it wasn't training? Treating them as equals? Zane knew that rewarding his pokemon for jobs well done made them stronger, but they were just tools to be used. Treating them as equals seemed absurd.

He wanted to try and find out what she did here. Turning to her he said: "I'm Rocket Grunt Zane. The lieutenant tells me our commander will be by soon. Who are you? Why are you in the Rockets?"

...Who are you? Why are you in the Rockets?"

Leela looked up at the man calling himself Zane, not very smart by the look of him and repeating what the Lt. had just said.

"I've been made aware of how close our commander is, Zane, you said? Who gave you a name like that, kid? As for who I am, just call me Leels, that's what everyone knows me as anyways. I'm in the Rockets because I live for the screams of children....."She paused and looked off into the ether before pulling herself back and laughing inside at the man's perplexed expression,"...I'm here because I feel like it. Good enough for ya?"

...Good enough for ya?"

Zane felt a snarl come unbidden to his lips and his rage flared. It was official; he didn't like Leels. She seemed to be making fun of him, and she clearly had a weird thing for children. He calmed himself, gave her a curt nod, and went back to waiting by the heater.

It didn't seem like many other important people had shown up, just some grunts that all looked suspiciously bland and similar...

Leela saw the snarl form on the kid's lips, and couldn't help but laugh out loud at him and his obvious inexperience in any kind of organization, much less the Rockets.

"Down boy,"She tittered,"We don't need peachfuzz like you going Mankey here."

She smiled at the guy, hoping that that would diffuse whatever situation had started brewing. He wasn't exactly her type, he was too...average to be anything more than a passing fling, if anything.

She put her lens-less glasses back on, and awaited the rest of whoever they were waiting for and their benefactor that would be giving out their next assignment.

The falling rain did little to upset a young child walking through the streets of Celedon. Dressed in a large raincoat with the hood pulled over her head, Mayu continued to scan the buildings until she finally found what she was looking for. The Celedon Game Corner, secret hideout for Team Rocket. Many wouldn't believe it, but the child was one of the youngest members of Team Rocket.

Only seven years old, she has shown a fire in her heart that burned to serve Team Rocket and its goals. She was much too young to become a trainer but there was no limit to her age for stealing Pokemon. She had joined the Rockets to gather as many Pokemon as she could, and she was already well on her way to that goal. Her hand brushed the two Pokeballs at her waist, reminding herself that she had one more Pokemon than the day she had run away from home.

Pushing the doors open, she immediately ran to the back of the Game Corner and knocked on the door before saying. "Steal Pokemon for profit. Exploit Pokemon for profit. All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket." She had learned the phrase well, and through repetition she was able to memorize it. It had been tough, but she knew it well now.

Being let into the secret room, she smiled cheerfully to the grunt before spotting the others in her team. Gulping a little bit, she realized she had never met them before. Nevertheless, she said. "Rocket Grunt Mayu, reporting for mischief!" It was her trademark greeting for reporting in, and she hoped they would like it. She was still pretty much the bottom of the food chain after all.

As the rain battered down on Celadon, a lone figure walked, or rather, strutted through the streets. His uniform was the same dark grey as any other Rocket, but to say the least he carried himself differently. His chest was out and his chin was up, even as he carried a bright yellow umbrella, neatly slicking away the rain from getting on his clothing. His cap hid his head, a few flecks of golden hair still sticking out. Beside him walked a little Vulpix, safe under the umbrella from the rain on her magnificent red fur. He held a little pad of notes he had written to himself. On the top one was an address, that was currently right in front of him.

The man walked up to the door, knocked and said "Steal Pokemon for profit. Exploit Pokemon for profit. All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket."

As a Rocket grunt opened the door for him, he strode inside to take a look at the newcomers. His Vulpix shook off what little rain had gotten on her fur while he tied up the umbrella. The man's eyes immediately spotted a striking woman with long black hair as he went through the building. Like a rocket, though he loathed the pun, he zipped over beside her and examined her hair.

"Oh, simply MARVELOUS!" he said, stroking it and showing a blatant disregard for personal space. "Tell me, how do you get it to SHINE like this?"

"Oh, simply MARVELOUS!...."

Leela jumped as the man began stroking her hair.

"I uhhh, use that stuff over at the store, that Jinx hair conditioner. And some of that cute shampoo with the Ninetails and Rapidash on the bottle."

She tried pulling her hair away from the man, but he kept running his fingers through it. Finally she grabbed ahold of it and tugged it away from him and walked across the room. As far as she could get from the strange man without leaving the group.

"Rocket Grunt Mayu, reporting for mischief!"

Max could hardly believe his eyes. In a rocket uniform stood a little girl, looking up at him with a glint in her eye. Good god the recruiting standards have fallen. He resolved to knock some sense into the next recruiter he ran into.

"Please do tell me the name of the grunt who brought you into our fold... Grunt Mayu." said Max, sneering a bit. If she turned out to be worthless he'd rip those balls away from her and leave her tied up in the countryside. Wouldn't be the first time a child proved to be a burden. Knowing Alex would have a good time messing with her, Max already had her slotted for the front row when they assemble downstairs.

As the little girl stood near the heater a few more grunts of his group came in. Some joined their compatriots in the game room, others went to the small bar in the back to drink up. Once Max would have joined them but the memories of failing to meet the high standards of Proton and the other executives had stuck with him. He still vividly remembered being tied up and being shocked by a Magnemite for hours after getting sick in front of Petrel. Taking your punishment was part of Rocket life.

"Tell me, how do you get it to SHINE like this?"

Max saw the newcomer feeling up the girl and that he had started to follow her after she had walked off.

"GRUNT!"

The slender man swung around.

"You are on duty. Don't make me knock some sense into you. Holster that Pokemon and dry off. We're merely waiting for the rest now."

He didn't know this one. Probably brought in from another city and attached to the team. Yellow team, the beginners. He kind of resented being the Lieutenant of this team and not of Red team, the ones running amok in the north. At least he wasn't part of Green. They were the laughingstock of the entire organization, getting captured by trainers in a town without a gym. Laughable.

Max continued to glare at the Rocket who failed to report to him. One cannot ignore discipline and boy did this one look like he needed a beating. His last commander was probably much more lenient.

Nice to see everyone who originally signed up here. I'm going to bed now so I'll resume posting tomorrow.

Mayu had no idea of the thoughts running through Max's mind when he asked her the name of her recruiter. Ever eager to please, she said immediately. "My recruiter was named Rocket Terry and I think he was a part of Blue Team. I had helped two Rockets steal the pokemon from a trainer, and after asking them to let me join, they took me to him. I guess I convinced him that I have all the right stuff, and I'll do my best not to disappoint. I'll work just as hard as all the adults!" Her eyes were shining with eagerness, and she meant every word that she meant. She knew that being a Rocket would be hard work and she would definitely do her best.

Weitz walked away from his apparent CO in a manner just a tad too haughty for him to have deserved. The only thing more striking than his appearance was his ego. He crouched down next to his Vulpix and produced a Pokeball. He gave the little fox a pat on the head and smiled at it. "Come now, little darling, it's time for you to get some rest!" The red beam from the ball swept up the little Vulpix and brought it in. He shrunk the ball and stuck it on his belt. He patted it, and the other two balls he carried to make sure they were all there. "You'll be happy and dry in there."

Having nothing else to really do, Weitz walked over to the corner of the room and leaned back before sliding down to the floor. With a content smile on his face, he closed his eyes and took a nap until somebody decided to wake him, or the other recruits his new officer had mentioned arrived.

"We'll see if he was right about that." said Max as more Rocket grunts piled in. A grunt knocked on the door leading to the main room of the game corner.

"It's time Lieutenant."

"Right. Yellow team, proceed to the area near the washrooms out on the main floor." he said, moving out onto the game floor. He tapped on the shoulders of his goons playing the slots. All were losing, as was to be expected. With them moving with the others he returned to the back room and prodded the back of the doorman.

"If anyone tries to enter now they'd better know the executive password. Yellow team is all here."

The grunt gestured at his small brown baton.

"Nobody ain't getting nowhere near this door without permission boss."

Max went by the heater and his Zubat landed on his shoulder.

"Well, any snitches?"

The Zubat was silent. He had been trained to find informers by Alex and was the gift given to Max when he joined.

"Good."

He returned the bat Pokemon to its capsule and went out again. Pressing the button hidden beneath a poster he opened the stairway.

"Head down, quickly." he said, ordering his grunts. Even though he wasn't the head officer, it was nice to speak with authority.

Zane tried to conceal his disgust with the rest of the team as he headed down the stairs. Leels already had tried to treat him like a child, and he hated that. He had been so angry at her that he couldn't speak. Then an ACTUAL CHILD had walked into the room!! A child in a Rocket uniform!! And shortly behind her was a man that Zane would have immediately marked as a rich and easy target if he hadn't been wearing a Rocket uniform. He had immediately started bothering Leels, so Zane supposed he should like him... but so far everything he had seen of the man bothered him.

And a child... Zane had lied about his age to get into the Rockets. To see a little girl waltz up in the uniform was infuriating and insulting.

The only one he was sure he liked was the lieutenant. He had shown that he had little tolerance for these fools either, and Zane was eager to prove himself to the man. The lieutenant seemed to radiate authority and competency. Zane knew better than to try to start a conversation with the man now. He was all business, and Zane liked that. He was ready to start. He could feel his excitement growing as he walked into a large basement. It was brightly lit with florescent lighting, the walls were steel and the floors were tile. He trooped along with the rest of the grunts as they walked to meet the commander.

The experienced goons knew the drill and were already forming ranks in the hall surrounded by potted plants. The new Rockets were a little confused but some prodding and sneering by the regulars finally got them in line.

"Mayu, you are up front on the left." ordered Max, smiling a little inside. The other grunts snorted with laughter at the little girl. At least the other three knew enough to straighten their uniforms and their caps. Max adjusted his uniform as well even though it was presentable. One never knew if an Executive was going to walk by.

"Hahahahahahahaha! OH WOW! I can't believe Yellow Team needs children to fill the gaps!" said a voice from the stairwell. Max scowled as a man descended the staircase in standard Rocket attire. He had red hair and a full belt of six Pokeballs around his waste.

"I guess that's what you get when three of your members get caught by Koga on the safari!"

"Shut the fuck up Rich."

"Oh poo, is that how you kids speak to your fellow officers these days? Hell, when I first joined Giovanni there was a thing called respect in these halls!"

"When you joined Giovanni the Rockets were still in the gutters. It took new blood to give him what he wanted."

The Orange team lieutenant strutted up to Max confidently.

"I'd be very certain of my choice of words in these halls."

Max stared him down but resisted the urge to punch. One day...

"So what is Orange team up to these days? Still just the guards, not fit for action anymore?"

The insult stung and the Grunts in Yellow Team laughed. Orange team, for all its experience, had been locked in the basement of about a year.

"I'll have you know that my team has a pretty exciting mission ahead." said Rich, sneering, "We're to be the first Rockets in Johto."

"Have fun with that. We'll just do your job here while you go get arrested."

Rich looked as if he was going to say something more but the elevator chimed in the other room. He fled the scene, retreating down to lower levels of the base. Everyone went silent but nothing happened. A few minutes later the grunts started talking amongst each other again.

"Didja hear? James and Jessie managed to pull off a massive heist at Gringey City. The cops are looking everywhere for them but the boss is happy."

"The executives are getting new Pokemon! Lucky bastards!"

"I heard the Boss was training again. Them Orange jerks got their asses kicked each time, with only one Pokemon!"
