"finally, I found them..." Dylan whispered to himself while setting up his sleeping bag. He got separated from the group while they were passing through the tall grass, and he got a bit sidetracked. He almost got lost in the forest and got attacked by a bunch of wild pokemon. Fortunately, he was able to find the tracks made by the some of the rockets, and he was able to catch up to them. He looked around to see if someone saw him.
"huh, I guess no one noticed that I'm gone... I don't know if that's a good thing or not."

Scott sat by the firepit, starring into the ash and soot, not really thinking about anything in particular. There was a lot of commotion in the camp today. Grunts and commander alike fighting. Scott noticed Max changing the sentry duties and wondered who he'd leave on sentry duty now... It probably would be him, everyone thought him to be a fool after what happened at the farm. Scott was upset about what happened to Red, but now he was just angry. Glad the moronic pokemon was dead. The Growlithe embarrassed him to no end because of that incident. Scott was startting to feel glad that he was rid of it.

Caid was wandering around the camp, and she noticed Dylan sneaking into the camp. Not really ever talking to him before, she decided to strike up conversation with him. So she wandered up by him and claped a hand on his back, giving a grin at him.
"Hey man, nice'ta see ya."

Mayu continued to sleep through the day, re-energizing herself for when they would finally move on during the night. It was getting easier and easier to fall asleep in the daytime now, and she knew it was only a matter of time before it became normal. She had a tendency of shifting during her sleep, and actually managed to cling to Max in a hug. It was in this position that she finally stopped moving around.

After being relieved from sentry, Dirk wondered through the camp for a short while, ostensibly looking for somewhere to sleep. He didn't really feel like sleeping just yet. He doubted he'd be able to anyway. He ambled through the maze of tents silently.

"Shi-!" He covered his mouth before anyone could hear him.
Dylan was surprised by Caid coming up from behind him, but he quickly calmed down.
"oh... sorry there, I thought I was about to get caught... anyway, nice to meet you too, i'm Dylan. You are?"

Caid thrust out one of her greasy, gloved hands and offered a grin.

"Caid Murdock, at'cha service."

She didn't know too much about Dylan, but assumed he was pretty interesting by the fact he was late getting back.

Dylan shooked hands with the girl, and proceeded to wipe the grease off his hand.
" Nice to meet you Caid." He thought about the name for a while which sounded oddly familiar.
She also spoke in a way that easily distinguished her from the others.
"Hey, i didn't see you at the game center in Celadon... where where back then?"
He said, awkwardly trying to keep a conversation going.

She shrugged and leaned against a nearby tree.

"Eh, I've been around. Normally not in big groups an' shit, but I've been 'round. It's thanks'ta that fukkin' game center that I'm in th' Rockets."

She snickered a little and crossed her arms.

Scott woke from his light doze. The dirty girl in her prime was speaking with Scott's old friend Dylan. Scott didn't imidiately interject but took interest in the conversation.

Leela, relieved from duty after a few strong kicks to the sleeping grunts ribs and subsequent explanation of her being replaced, shook her head at his incompetence, flipped her hair back(in an enticing sort of way of course, though she didn't really notice it, force of habit and all that) and returned Rainy-Day to his pokeball. The Bellsprout she kept on her shoulder warded off a few of the other grunts and she went to an empty tent with the flaps open and laid down inside. She didn't close her eyes, but she did rest, the Bellsprout nearby the whole time. If Max got pissed about it, he could go to hell for all she cared at the moment.

"Really? Why did you become a rocket anyway?"
Asked Dylan, who was starting to get curious about Caid. He was always wondering about why people join team rocket, but he never bothered asking people about it. This was the perfect opportunity to get some insight on the rocket members.

"I needed th' cash, plain an' simple. I blew all my money tryin'a win that fukkin' overpriced Porygon they had at th' game corner."

After a while of aimless meandering, Dirk finally decided to get some sleep. He was well and truly tired by now and it didn't take long before he was soundly asleep.

"porygon? You wanted one of those?" Dylan couldn't help but to laugh a bit after hearing that. Who would want a porygon?
"I got all the pokemon I need right here..." He pointed to his ditto's pokeball proudly.
Dylan let out a small yawn and prepared to sleep.
"Well, it was nice meetin ya caid, i'm gettin sleepy now... goodnight..." he said, trying to copy caid's way of speaking.

The sun was rising lazily in the air as the morning dragged on. Grunts all along the camp simply chose to fall asleep. It was rare for them to be sober during the day and most were dirty, tired and frustrated.

"Are you sure you two have spotted Rockets?" said a man dressed in a white Kung Fu suit. He looked at a kid and an older man, both sporting a similar uniform.

"I was going for my morning run to exercise and Machop came back all excited. I snuck up on them and saw R! I knew they were Rockets!" said the kid, proudly. He patted his only Pokeball excitedly.

"I checked with my binoculars. I thought I saw someone... Can't rightly say..." said the older man, scratching his head.

"Toby, if we end up attacking some innocent campers again, Master said he'd cancel the city watch." said the ringleader.

The assembled trainers dressed in white shook their heads. That had been an embarrassing story in the newspaper...

"We don't want to give up our important duty of protecting our city! Besides, the cops just watch the roads."

"Yeah!"

"Woooo!"

"God this uniform is hot."

The ringleader looked back at his assembled team. All in all there were around 70 of them. All eager to kick some Rocket ass. Only about 6 were actual gym trainers however. Everyone else was a volunteer.

"Shouldn't we call the cops? You know, just in case?"

"Master would be ashamed if we called for help." snapped the leader. "Besides, if we capture them we may get one of his rare Pokemon as a reward. We might even be able to take back the city gym from those crummy Psychic creeps."

There was much agreement. Nobody in Saffron liked them. They were just too... different.

"Are you sure Toby?" whispered the leader.

"I'd bet my SNES on it sir."

"Okay! We creep in quietly. Soft like a ninja! Remember when Koga showed up our master? Be as silent as him!"

The large group of trainers spread out and started walking silently towards the woods the tents were in, surrounding it. They made it to the sentries and found that they were all asleep. Relieved of their Pokeballs and gagged, the trainers pressed in.

A single plume of smoke rose from Ellie's lips. She was on her back, staring off into space. Even the small effort of pulling the cigarette to her lips made her arms ache. She was cradling her right hand on her chest. It was freshly bandaged, a bit of blood seeping through the dark rags. In retrospect, she was glad she had a new uniform, and could tear up the old one to wrap her wrist. A shuffling sound made her turn. The Commander. He was still asleep. She mused about what went on in his head, taking another drag from the cigarette. She was already in her underwear, but hadn't made it to putting her pants and top on. She didn't feel like moving much at all.

Then a weird thought entered her head. It was like some of his crazy was seeping into her head sometimes. What if she strangled him? Just put her hands around his throat and closed them? What if she was in control for once? And just like that, Ellie was sitting in front of his mattress, ignoring the protest from her bruised arms, a hand hovering over her commander. Her face was split with a large smile for a second.

And then it was gone. Ellie grabbed her hand back, the grin falling from her lips. Instead she pulled his blanket up, turning around and getting dressed. She would never hurt the Commander.

The screaming and whooping came out of nowhere. Max was up on his feet the moment the shouting started. Angry Machops, Mankeys and Pidgeys were everywhere with the Rocket grunts struggling to fight back. Some were reduced to punching the nearby trainers, getting flipped by the superior fighting skills of the gym trainers.

"ROCKETS, TO ARMS!" shouted Max, his Pokemon pulled out. His bird, Spearmint, flew out and hurled itself at a Mankey. His Zubat kept going around, making hit and runs on other trainer Pokemon.

Fuck, rally.... RALLY!

The grunts, their surprise slowly turning to rage as they identified their foes, started to fight back more effectively. Some were knocked out and lay still on the ground.

"There are good trainers among them, wat-"

A fighter kicked Max in the stomach. He fell to his knees but went for his legs. Pushing all his weight into it, he tipped over the fighter despite getting a kick to the side in the process. He fell and Max's Nidorino stomped his leg, making it crack.

"Try that again when I don't have Pokemon, fucker."

The whole camp degraded into a confused melee of Pokemon, trainers and grunts. Tents were knocked over and the Tauros's loot bags were being carried off by some trainers in the back.

"Fuck, STOP THEM!" shouted Max, noticing Dirk had forced himself into the fray late and was behind the main group. Another punch came his way but Max was ready, coming back to hit the man in the face.

Gym trainers are taking out the grunts by the back... We'll be cut off from the other tents...

Some of the more intelligent grunts moved to strengthen the buckling line of Grunts. A Machoke and, most worryingly, a Machamp were ripping through the tents where Max assumed more sleeping grunts were.

"Fuck you Alex!" shouted Max before getting knocked to the ground from another wild fighter.
