Scott woke to a blood curtailing whooping sound, fighting Pokemon of all types were swarming the camp. Grunts were doing there best to fend them off, but were failing miserably. Scott quickly jumped into the fray, releasing his Meowth and instructing it to attack what ever it could see. Scott's meowth did it's best but the fighting Pokemons' type advantage was too much for the small cat Pokemon and Scott was forced to retreat it.

"Fuck, STOP THEM!" Shouted Max to some grunts near the Tauros.

Scott ran over to the Bull Pokemon's aid, without the help of any Pokemon Scott attempted to stop the gym trainers from taking their loot. Much like Meowth's fight this was horribly one-sided. Scott had size on the culprits but they had numbers and skill... and pokemon. Before Scott could really do anything two of the Trainers dropped what they were carrying and engaged him. He did his best to fight back but it was pointless, hopelessly out matched Scott took blows to every part of his body. Finally getting knocked to the ground Scott was only conscious long enough to see the bottom of the sandal that finished him off.

Scott laid bloodied and unconscious on the ground.

Caid was about to go to bed when the entire camp was being overrun by fighters and their pokemon. She swore loudly and flung out her three pokemon, her Ekans, her Koffing and her Magnimite.

"Arright, Magnimite, you shock whatever th' fuck ya see that ain't a Rocket. Keep movin'. Koffing, you try an' make sure they can't see shit, so Sludge 'em up. Try not'ta fuck up our vision. Ekans..."

She crouches down and lets it curl around her hand. "Be careful. Do what ya can, but don't get yer ass stomped on...Go after th' fighters an' Machops if ya can, don't try'n be a hero."

After she gave her pokemon the rundown, she had them go off and do their thing, then she ran to the aid of the other grunts, trying to keep them from getting knocked back.

The trainers who dropped the satchels picked them up, vanishing out of the grove of the trees. Max, engrossed in the fighting, couldn't even see what was happening anymore.

"Send for more guys, theres a lot of them!" shouted one of the gym trainers.

"We've got them." said the leader, his Machamp tossing tents through the air like nothing.

"FUCK, FALL BACK!" shouted Max, the grunts at his side following him to a higher position. There were at least a dozen bloodied, unconscious grunts lying around. Beaten senseless. Many of the younger and less experienced trainers had fled when they realized the ferocity of the fighting was beyond them. Still, the stronger trainers still had the remaining Rockets cut in half and outnumbered by at least 2 to 1.

"We're going to get our Master here and we'll save our city!" shouted one of the retreating trainers, rubbing a bloody nose.

Caid got the order to fall back, and when she turned around, the first thing she saw was her Magnimite getting punched by the Machamp, knocking the poor thing out.

"FUKKIN' HELL!" She cried, quickly calling it back and running to where Max and the rest of the grunts were, panting hard.

"Motherfukkin' assholes..." She coughed out a little, leaning over. "Did they say they were bringin' backup?!"

Max didn't even respond, his mind working as fast as he could with the fighting intensifying.

9 grunts with me, 3 stuck fighting down there. Some more over by the bags, still going by the sounds of things. Where the hell is Alex?

A cry of pain and a thud next to him indicated his Zubat had finally been bested.

"Spearmint, get that blasted Pidgey!"

"ROCKETS, TO ARMS!"

Leela bolted awake to the chaos around her, Bellsprout coiled around the main post, which she grabbed ahold of and plunked down on her shoulder. Seeing the attack outside, she let out Machoke and did what she could to dodge against the fighting-gym members. Unfortunately, as flexible and as many years of gymnastics as she had, her opponent had at least twice as many in martial arts. She attempted a flip to avoid an elbow only to jump right in front of a foot, spinning her and slamming her against a tent. The tent collapsed around her and she felt that that was it, she was about to be taken in and her pokemon would be taken away from her.

Or at least, that's what she was sure would have happened if the idiot gym fighter hadn't forgotten about Machoke. He felt his fist grabbed and try as he might, he was unable to break the grip of the muscle-bound pokemon, even attempting to punch her in the stomach, which did nothing but cause the pokemon to sigh and swing the man around before launching him into the sky, a few feet above the nearby trees, before the sounds of breaking branches was heard and he hit the ground, groaning a bit before dragging himself to a tree and lying there.

Leela stood up, and apologized to the grunts inside before grabbing her midsection, she'd be feeling that for a few days, but not now, the adrenaline had kicked in and the pain was minuscule for the moment. Why did they have to attack while they were sleeping? Didn't these guys have some kind of code against ambushes or something?

She took a few breaths while the ambushers began running amok, knocking out grunts left and right, tying them up, and throwing them away after taking away their pokeballs. Then another hero stepped up, a pokeball in his hand, a blue belt tied around his waist instead of the black around the majority of the rest, and the two trainers stood head to chin, with Leela the shorter of the two, of course.

"Well, well, well, Rocket *****, whose Machoke did you steal to get that fine specimen?"

"Didn't need to, pretty boy, trained it myself from a Machop, what'dya got there? A wimpy little Manky? Maybe a Machop?"

"Wrong on both counts, I've got my own Machoke that I actually trained. Not your little imitation you bummed off some poor sod of a trainer."

The martial artist then threw out the pokeball in his hand and in a flash of white light, another Machoke appeared. The two then squared each other up and growled. The first punches showed exactly which of the two was stronger, and it wasn't Leela's. What she did have however, was she was slightly faster, just enough to begin to dodge enough of the strikes as they faced off. Leela's Machoke was then charged and thrown through three tents and half a dozen Grunts, but not without slamming her fists into the back and neck of her attacker. Both were obviously bruised and battered, but her Machoke stood again and set herself against the incoming Machoke, but jumped at the last second and tripped it.

"You aren't really going to think we're going to give up without a fight, do you pretty boy, eh? We aren't all incompetent."

"FUCK, FALL BACK!"

"Well, guess that's our cue, see you later Saffron Scum! And remember to support your local Rockets, because we're here to stay!"

She ducked behind the tent ruins, and ran off to the greater mass of Rockets, Machoke following after a few spoken words. They arrived and stood back to back with a few other Grunts, Leela wasn't really paying that much attention to who, so long as they didn't get knocked back.

"OH HELL NO, ROCKET BRITCHES! YOU DON'T JUST IGNORE MY MACHOKE!"

The two Machokes again faced each other, again ready to fight, even though both were still battered.

"ROCKETS, TO ARMS"
... what?

Having just gotten out of a nightmare, Ellie was still a little sluggish to respond. The next moment the tent was thrown into something hard: either the ground, or a tree. Hoping the crack wasn't her, Ellie quickly grabbed her backpack, taking out the first sharp thing she got her hands on and ripping the fabric of the tent open. Pure clusterfuck greeted her as she scrambled out, a mess of... people and pokemon. Most of the Rockets were easily visible in their dark clothes, standing out against the white robes. Robes?

Her hesitation earned her a Pidgey in the face. It screeched and pecked at her face as she tried to swat it away. Combined with the harsh, blinding sun, it more than disorienting. "PONYTA! NIDORINA!" She shouted in frustration and rage as she threw the balls down. She got a hold of the brat's wing and hurled it down, to be met with a flurry of hooves as the Ponyta took care of it. She brushed her hair out of her face, wishing for a ponytail holder as she looked around, trying to get her bearings. A large Machamp was the cause of their upturned tent, one that Ellie was content to let go.

"Hah! Stupid Rockets, we got the drop on your asses so quick! Go Mankey!" A young trainer tried to trash talk Ellie, throwing out some pathetic monkey. "Nidorina!" She wasn't in a mood to fight fairly. As soon as the Nidorina ran at the Mankey, Ellie ran at the surprised trainer. She tackled him, making a grab for the Pokemon on his belt. "Hey! What the hell! St-" She punched him in the face, breaking his nose. Her brass knuckles were getting their fair share of blood here. Still, there was no time to waste on upstart punks, and she quickly released him, letting him stumble off to look for his pokemon or tend to his bloody nose. She didn't care. Right now she had to concentrate on finding out where to go, because this was going nowhere fast as her Ponyta lit up the air with fire.

When the Machamp overturned the tent it flipped Alex completely, leaving him temporarily trapped under the bedding and some canvas. He was still waking up, hazy from the drugs he had taken and shared with Mikaela, even though she had been unaware of it. It took some time before he really realized he was underneath junk and naked.

"Whoa, guess I overdid it... Where are my pants?" he said, feeling along the debris. Putting on his pants, he forced the tent bed off of himself and picked up his Pokeballs. He held his hand over his head to avoid the glare of the sun. When his eyes focused he saw the camp being overturned, with individual grunts getting beaten. Max was with the bulk of the grunts still fighting with other, smaller pockets along the grove just barely holding on.

"Perfect." said Alex, rising out of the ruined tent. His bat was trailing behind him and he cracked his neck. This was going to be fun.

Scott's eyes shot open, his head screamed with pain, his eye sight cloudy. Everything hurt, he could barely move but fought to do so anyway. Scott rolled over to his stomach and pushed himself up to his knees. He looked around to see dark figures moving around, he couldn't see five feet infront of his face.

All of a sudden, he was picked up and raised high above the ground. A Machamp had picked him up and currently held him above his head. Scott hung limp in the Pokemon's hands, he could barely get up, never mind fight off a half ton, four-armed fighting behemoth. Scott just did his best to breath under the tight grip of the Machamp. He then faintly heard a vocice say: "Toss him aside, he's done, no threat to us now." Not a moment later Scott felt the G-force of flying through the air. He traveled at least fifty feet, and hit what felt like every tree branch in the forest before hitting the ground and tumbling another ten feet.

Scott laid faced up in a small clearing, he stared at the sky, it was blue with a few small white clouds. He was away from the fighting... for now. A small smirk crept up from under the dried blood on his cheek that ran from his nose.
"I should have stay-" The blue blue sky faded to black.

"Ponyta! Take out those fucking birds!" Ellie shouted, waving her arm at the flying Pokemon. Growing desperate, she released her Zubat, letting it go do whatever it had to do. Honestly, it was more there to distract the attacks from her Nidorina and Ponyta. She couldn't care less what... what... Ellie had a dizzy spell, swaying for a moment. Her Nidorina looked weird, and the fire was brilliant and blinding. Shit... It had been a long time, she thought, but apparantly it wasn't enough. Figures she'd be this messed up in the middle of a fight. It wore off in a few seconds, and she found herself staring in the direction of her now awake, and very energetic Commander. If there was anything inspiring right now, that was it.

Alex's bat flashed and knocked out a trainer. Another swing and one was clutching his legs in agony, no longer ordering his Pokemon around. One caught his bat in mid swing so he just went up to and headbutted the guy.

"Oh god yes, YES!"

The Primeape was released and immedietly went after the Machamp. The four armed giant bore down on the plucky muscled puffball. Dodge rolling past a flurry of punches, it came in and hammered the Pokemon in the side hard. The Machamp flinched, encountering the first hit that actually seemed to faze it in the battle so far. A trainer came dashing over to help but a thrown knife from Alex hit him in the knee, causing him to crash.

"Marvelous... Fantastic... Aweinspiring!! MORE MORE MORE!"

The Machamp picked up the Primape and hurled it over, the Pokemon crashing into Leel's Machoke.

"Fuck yes..."

A Pokeball flashed and a Golbat unfurled, crying out for blood.

"FUCK HIM UP!"

The black and purple form hurtled towards the startled Machamp. Max watched as Alex walked over to the trainer clutching his knee. The bat moved and the trainer fell silent. Other trainers fled.

"Just... just wait until our Master comes!"

"HOLD FAST!" cried the leader, pulling out a wooden staff from behind his back.

"We're not done yet!"

Some trainers were heartened by the bravery of their leader, rallying back to charge at Max and the others again while the best trainers circled around Alex.

"Come on, meet me. Fight me. Burn me! TEAR ME!" screamed Alex, running forward with careless abandon.

Fighting continues, I need to edit this for spelling later, goodnight. x.x

Spoilered for length
Noise. Dirk grunted a bit and turned over, ignoring the ruckus outside. As far as he was concerned it wasn't his problem. No matter what he did, though, it wouldn't go away. And then he heard Max's call to arms. He sat up, bolt still, awake in an instant. Poking his head outside the tent he saw the pandemonium before him. Shit.

Glancing about the tent quickly to make sure he had everything, Dirk dashed out and immediately took a mankey to the face. It clung to his hair and flailed wildly, scratching and hitting where it could. He grabbed it and flung it off him, taking a chunk of his hair with it. He shrugged it off and took stock.

The rockets were doing badly. There weren't a whole lot left standing and the fighters had them seriously outnumbered. Weighing his options, he considered making a break for it. If he made it out in the chaos he could always make some excuse later on. And then he saw Max looking at him. His heart sank as he realised that repercussions for desertion would be inevitable, now. So he'd have to fight.

A flashe of light and Dirk took off. Voltorb raced beside him as he headed for the main group. He figured he'd should be able to hit their flank, regroup and maybe open an escape route. he ducked past swinging fists and legs taking some minor hits but able to dodge and deflect most of what was thrown at him. Voltorb had an even easier time of it and was able to zap a few obstacles, distracting them from Dirk. Sprinting up from behind he clotheslined a trainer and kicked his mankey and had rejoined with Max. Dirk spun around facing the onslaught and released his other two pokemon. He faltered as the pain from his leg finally reached his brain and he fell to his knee. He took a deep breath and pushed himself upright.

Alex had emerged and was proving an invaluable distraction. The lull had been long enough for him to regain his composure and he was ready for a fight.

The two Machokes faced each other, both bruised, a few cuts here and there, but both still ready to fight. They charged one another, no heed given to their trainers, this was a grudge match between them, Blue Belt's swinging, sometimes connecting, sometimes not, Leela's dodging, ducking under and slamming the Machoke. It all came down to one move though, as Leela called out,"KARATE CHOP, MACHOKE, GET HIM." Just as the other trainer yelled out, "SEISMIC TOSS!"

The two attacked at the same time, Leela's striking just as she was launched into the air, with both of them crumpling to the ground, but her Machoke stumbled to her feet while the other saw stars for a few heartbeats before falling unconscious. She took a few steps before a great ball of fur went slamming into her, launched across the field, both crashing into a tree and snapping it in two. The tree leaned first to one side, then another as the Primeape jumped up and began madly attacking the tree before realizing it was no longer fighting an opponent other than the great and powerful tree. It hopped off of Machoke, who grunted before rolling over and attempting to get up, but failed, falling into a deep sleep before disappearing into white light and absorbed back into her pokeball. Leela looked over at the Martial Artist leaning over his Machoke, two tear streaks on her face, with more welling up as she charged him, all her hatred directed at the man.

She was dropped almost as soon as she got within range, the guy was twice her size and she just knew how to drop a regular person, not some freak who looked like his pokemon. Again, both forgot about her Bellsprout perched on her shoulder and the guy's eyes rolled up into his head, struggling to regain some control of his body. Leela used this opportunity to roll out from under him and kick him as hard as she could in the backs of his knees dropping him fully to the ground. She then followed that up by holding his head, rolling eyes, still attempting to regain control of his faculties and put all her weight behind a kick that dropped him out cold. Pokeball still in his hand, she returned the Machoke and stuffed it inside his outfit, in the chaos surrounding her, she doubted anyone would notice her. But just to be sure, she made it actually look like she was looting him, which she did by finding his wallet and taking his cash.

She stood again, putting the money in her bag she'd slept in, that would be a pain later on today too. Metal and leather pushing into her "delicate" skin would be horrible for her complexion later on! She resigned herself to the fact that she would have to rely on Rainy-Day, but didn't want to pull him out unless it was absolutely necessary. Bellsprout was looking a bit worse for wear as well, but was still firmly planted on her shoulder, despite all the beating he'd taken in the form of basically being a part of Leela.

"Shit, so much for sentries, they should've just gone into town drunk for all the good they did here. What was that dope thinking making us camp this close to Saffron without going in?"

Caid growled loudly, thinking of her Magnemite that'd need medical help once they got to the next town, and then ran over to where her Koffing was doing battle against a Machop.

"Arright Koffing! Hit it hard with as much sludge as you can handle!" The flying gasbag seemed to swell up a bit before blasting the small fighting type with a facefull of black goo, making the little thing cough violently. "Heh, I think ya poisoned it, way'ta go!"

She then ran over, where her Ekans was wrapped around the leg of a Machoke and biting it repeatedly, trying to poison it as well. It didn't seem to have much of an effect, as the Machoke didn't even really react to it wrapped around it's leg, before starting to cough like it's pre-evolution did. "Yeah! Now get back over here b'fore ya get stomped on!" She called to it, and it slithered along the battle field right back into her hand.

A particularly ambitous trainer spurred on his machop towards Dirk. He was slightly bemused by this seeing as how the trainer was pretty obviously low on experience. He gave the word and Voltorb sped out and hit the machop right between the eyes and bouncing away before it could retaliate. Electricity coursed through it for a moment and it fell backwards, seriously injured. Weakling. He wasn't sure why he'd even bothered.

Suddenly a Hitmonlee, sprung seemingly out of nowhere, a high jump kick aimed directly at him. Dirk hit the dirt and the hitmonlee sailed over his head. It landed and spun around, glaring at him. Dirk got to his feet and wondered what in the hell he was looking at. As he tried to recover from his surprise, the hitmonlee lashed out with a quick, it's leg strecthing out to make the difference. The attack caught him off gaurd but he was quick enough to dodge it, barely. The leg continued to strecth and there was a load, wet smack as it connected with a trainer that had been sneaking up on Dirk. In fact, judging by the suprised look on the hitmonlee, Dirk geussed he he had been it's trainer.

"Thunder Wave!" Voltorb hit the hitmonlee with a paralyzing jolt and it stiffened, losing control over it's muscular functions. It's leg, freewheeling, shot back towards it like a rubber band and struck it hard in the...torso? head? What was that? Anyway, point is it was sent slamming across the ground and when it came to a stop it didn't get back up. Close call.

The Golbat and the Machoke were locked in a duel, the giant 4 armed muscle Pokemon occassionally managing to land a hit on the looping bat. Alex was in the middle of a bunch of trainers, their Pokemon fighting his Primeape as it rejoined him. The bat was being respected now as the gym trainers leapt back to avoid the swings. The battle with Max and the others started to go their way again.

"Dirk, there!" he pointed at some Machops coming around. Max's own Nidorino was fighting three Mankeys at once, managing to wound one enough to send it retreating but at the cost of exposing itself to more blows.

Max looked up after punching another karate kid wannabe in the face and gasped. More white suits were approaching fast and one in black was coming too. Alex was too busy enjoying the fight.

"Alex! Alex!" shouted Max in vain. The blue haired commander ignored him.

"Take over, try and get our guys up and moving." he said to the brutish Boris, pointing at the moaning Grunts on the ground. He made his way over towards Alex but was blocked off by three more trainers. Kids. He grabbed one as he tried to sneak a kick in and tossed him onto his friend. Turning, he punched the 17 year old punk right in the jaw and continued.

The area near Alex was the worst, with most of the Rocket's camp equipment shattered and broken by the Machamp's earlier rampage. Coming up beside Ellie Max panted and pointed.

"We need to tell him that the gym leader is coming. We'll all get arrested if we stay here!"

A gym trainer who had just received a lesson from Alex's bat turned and saw Max and Ellie. A Machop was instantly hurtling towards them.

"Go tell him, I'll hold off this chump!"

Max's ridiculous little bird Pokemon came swooping down on the muscle Pokemon as Ellie snaked away.

Fuck my life. Why the fuck are we even this close?

Ellie tried to make it over to the Commander as best as she could between the trainers and the nondiscriminatory bat swings. "C-commander!" I'd give anything for a glass of water right now "Commander the gym leader is-" she ducked. She was too far. Desperation starting to set in, she called her Ponyta with a shrill whistle. When it rode up she slapped it's rump, sending the fire pokemon blazing through a segment of trainers. Ellie followed quickly. She didn't know if her Zubat was still standing, or if her Nidorina was still around, so she had to rely on the Ponyta. Not that a pokemon that blew fire into everything was a bad choice. Finally close to their frenzied leader, Ellie shouted as loud as she could.

"Commander there's a gym leader coming!"

The news seemed to awaken Alex to the danger for the first time. The Machamp caught the Golbat and was about to smash it against the ground.

"Bite damn you!"

The bat Pokemon's large fangs pierced the arm of the Pokemon easily and it fell over in shock.

"Thanks Mikaela, get me a drink wouldn't you?" he said, laughing.

He made is way through the fighting, catching up with Max as his Spearow fainted.

"Going badly Maxxie?"

"Let's go, before they grow some brains and get the cops involved." snarled Max.

Most of the grunts who had been incapacitated had been brought back over to the highest point in the grove of the trees by Boris, the team's local brute. The strongest trainers were beaten but the shouts of their comrades from the Gym were getting nearer.

"Leave everything, go Max! Take all the grunts with you and lose them in the fields. We..."

The trainers burst into the grove with excitement and energy. Their Master, rushing along with them. As Pokemon exploded out the Rockets were split into two groups. Max, Dirk, Leels and Scott along with half the grunts were forced into a headlong retreat. Alex and the rest stood and fought, tying down more Pokemon to fight them.

"Sir..."

"Silence tool, I'm thinking." said Alex, starting to seriously consider his problems.

"Come with me, we're going into the city!"

The grunts looked at each other with despair but followed loyally. A Koffing's smokescreen filled the grove of trees with thick black smoke.

"WHERE ARE THESE ROCKETS?" boomed a voice of authority. White uniformed trainers fanned out everywhere but when the smoke lifted Alex's group was gone.

"We're still chasing the ones running North Master!"

"Good, we have to find the rest before Sabrina finds out about this. Hurry!"

They ran into the city. Not even half of them. Her Ponyta was quickly returned, and she held up the balls for her Zubat and Nidorina. Red flashes returned them safely. She felt embarassed, having such low level pokemon. How could she be an effective instrument without proper tools of her own. Still, a she allowed herself a small sliver of pride. They did extremely well, all things considered. Fought until they couldn't.

Still, she didn't feel too good. As soon as they got in the city, she threw up in the nearest trash can. The sun was still hurting her eyes too. It made sense though. The Commander being the way he was. Hard drugs were nasty.

Ellie wiped her mouth and sprinted back up behind. If she thought about it too long, she would collapse. I need to sleep... Her muscles burned. It felt like she had cracked a few bones as well. Definitely bruised. She spit out some blood to get rid of the metallic taste in her mouth. Keep going. Keep going and don't complain.

Max and the others fought a running battle with the trainers. Occasionally turning to let loose their Pokemon again to resume the fight before returning to the long run North.

Tree line, give me something to lose these goons in...

At least 3 dozen trainers pursued them, some slowing down. Not all of them were in shape but then again, not all of the Grunts were in great shape either.

"There's a Rocket safehouse... About 20 minutes north of Saffron..." panted Max. He stopped and turned to elbow the trainer catching up to him in the neck.

"Come on Dirk, hurry!"

Can't lose any grunts, Alex will kill me.

* * * *

The city was a buzz with commotion. When Alex and the others sprinted into the neighborhood some loudly pointed at them. Cops whistled but the back alleyways were long and winding. They had to vault a few fences but they finally shook their pursuers.

The sounds of barking Growlithes and of angry searching was never far away as they walked along.

"Where are we going?"

"There's a warehouse sympathetic to Rockets in this city..." said Alex, smiling. "We'll sleep there and burn the city tonight. Come on Mikaela, smile. Smile dammit!"

Caid and the other grunts just looked at each other. There were around 11 of them in total and none wanted to be the one next to Alex. In the shade of an alley they stopped to breath.
