Sweet tears of Joy! <3

Hope they will bring it for PC as well. o.o
You know that it is initially going to be developed for PC and development for other consoles will be determined by the donations, right?

Aw shit. Credit card only? Fuck. Went in ready to give up my $100 (via Paypal, some of us want to use money we actually have, not live in debt).
Some of us use credit cards because when someone steals it, it's not your money they're using. Credit card does not automatically mean incurring debt. I've had one for 12 years and always paid my balance at the end of the month.

OT: I've not played any of his games, but I might get one and try it out. Or I might just donate and see what 15 bucks can get me. I do really like this idea, though!

The people have money and they're willing to spend it to make sure the games they want to see made, get made.

I'm sure that it won't be long until this sort of function is built right into Steam. Heck, Gabe was talking about this years ago. But it took Doublefine to make it sprout legs and run a nine minute mile.

I have to admit I have some misgivings when I hear take advice from people. We all remember the mess that was fem shep right? This isn't helped by the people saying they want a GF sequel. GF was a great story that holds up well on its own it would take some real jiggering to get a sequel out of it an it would probably just seem forced.

All that negativity aside I think this is awesome and really hope it all works out. Now to go find my wallet.

This is unprecedented, right? I can't wait to see how this all turns out! I wonder if anyone invested money into this not knowing who Tim Schafer was, just for a chance to stick it to publishers like E.A.

I've noticed a few people saying that they "donated" money to this project. We should be saying that we're investing in this project. Each of us are now Tim Schafer's boss... how does that make you feel?

I pledged $15 a day or so ago. Very excited to see where this goes, might even increase my contribution to $30 if funds permit.

I love Tim Schafer, but I'd rather he spends his time on Psychonauts 2.
Still, you gotta love the dedication, us gamers can really accomplish things if we rally together.

Okay, now I'm starting to like this Tim Schafer guy. I may have to play one of his games now.

Probably go for psychonauts.

As much as I want to support this. We don't even know what the game is about... seems like an odd thing to Kickstart.
We are making a game. Wham! 1,000,000 bucks raised and counting. Interesting...

It's not because it's a game, it's because Tim Schafer is making a game. Go play Monkey Quest, Psychonauts or Grim Fandango to see what all the fuss is about. A lot of people really really love Tim Schafer's games (evidently, if the fund is any indication).

Crazy to think that a point and click adventure game would need more than 1 million to get off the ground.

Damnit, I shouldn't have spent all my extra money on my tuition. >.>

Whatever comes from this I hope will be a really great game. This could set a precedent for gamers giving up money for developers.

And cut out people like EA from the process. >.> Still bitter about that.
