Micheal Atkinson will be stepping down as the South Aus Attorney-General. We have won.
I can smell the R18 rating just over the hills. I dont care who replaces him, no one can be as worse.

So who's replacing him as the 'enemy of the gamers' now? Atkinson took the thrown after Jack Thompson went under, so it's only natural that someone else will take the thrown now.

Man, I still can't get over how good this news really is. The Gamers have achieved a bloody victory over their oppressors and hopefully we can now get the R+ rating.

Probably David Cameron of the Tory party, assuming he ever gets into power in my country (not on my watch!).

But we've buried Thompson, now Atkinson. Whoever is next will only wind up going down the same way.

In 2008, Atkinson introduced legislation aimed at increasing the rights of victims of crime. The legislation purported to allow victims to suggest a suitable sentence for the offender and made it compulsory for judges to consider imposing a restraining order on convicted sex offenders.

In his role as Attorney-General, Atkinson has been a proponent of non-association legislation which makes association with declared organisations a criminal offence. The goal of this legislation is to prevent and control the activities of organised crime.
