I disliked most of school back in High school. I was surrounded by people I hate doing things I thought were easy and didn't care for. However, I'm really enjoying college. Two years at a community college and now I'm starting at a university this year. It's been pretty fun thus far. I'm rather glad to be back... wish it were a bit cheaper though. :(

The only time I every seem to get anything done is at school. On the other hand, I have deplorable social skills, so it's a mixed blessing.

Another Note: I don't sympathize with those that perform school shootings, I don't encourage school shootings, and aside from a few tasteless jokes here and there, I try not to joke about school shootings.
Only Yahtzee is allowed to make jokes about school shootings. See Just Cause 2

I don't hate school itself, I hate what it represents to me. No, not learning and education.

Change. Eventually, you graduate from school, and things get a lot more complicated. I can't just sit at the computer all day anymore. There's no one to take care of me. I'm not prepared for the outside world, and I'm afraid. I've been sabotaging myself for years in some futile attempt to keep things the way they are, and am now only recently trying to man up and finish.

Things suck for me, so I'm trying to just get it over with.

The only thing I don't like about school is waking up early and the homework. Granted, that's about 60% of what school is, which might explain my general dislike of it, but I like seeing my friends and I do like learning. I just wish I didn't have 5 hours of homework every night, go to bed at 1 in the morning and have to wake up at 6.

Freshmen of 2014! Yeaaaahh!

Other than being a total smart ass in Honors Physics...
Teacher: Does anyone know anything about physics?
-I raise my hand-
Teacher: Yes, Chris?
Me: Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.
Friend: D'oh.
Girlfriend: Chris, shut up, now!
Teacher: Argh, another Portal fan. By the way, the cake is a lie.

Heh. So, that, seeing my girlfriend every day and getting free food....school is alright.

I've been attending classes all summer and still have classes but I get to be at home a lot browsing the internet and what not.

Also high school was not really that bad for me since I worked a lot.

I love my school, for friends. The staff is nice (excluding a few unnamed teachers and 1 principal) Its the district rules I HATE that's has twisted the school giving a rating on you your scale a... 7 ( Go class of 2012!)

Around about this time every year, I get perverse pleasure in seeing all the kids squirm about going back to school. I once admitted to a buddy of mine that when I first finished my "education" I kept wanting to say "IN YOUR FACE" to all of the go back to school kids.

Yeah I know, that makes me an evil person.

Still, I kinda miss being a student. I got better store discounts when I was a dumb ass university student and the government employee gig is nice but it sure as hell isn't an SPC.

Though I do admit, my healthcare is a shit ton better now (I pay nothing out of my pocket for all medical services).

I don't mind school. Sure, I'd pick a longer vacation over school any day, but I'm not one to think school is the perfect representation of Hell. But I think that's because I've got some great teachers this year. These are people who showed me H.P. Lovecraft, Isaac Asimov, and Douglas Adams, so I think I have to be excited if I still have them this year.

That, and my school isn't flooded with idiots.

This semester will be my first time back at school, 9-3, in two years. I've been doing half days, online courses, or missing weeks at a time since my father died, and sometimes I've just gone months without going at all.

To make things worse, I'm a tenth grader with two grade nine classes to make up for the missed time. This means that I can't cling to my close friends for support and will probably have a panic attack the first day, if not more than once in the first week.

First period is 9 Science, so I have to find the one girl I know in that class and hope for the best, then I have 10 French, in which I will know no one because everybody I know hates French with a passion, then Photography, which will be okay, then 9 English, which will be a cake walk, academically, but gives me the same problems as first period.

Also, lunch 3C. Of all the lunches, why did I have to get 3C?

So yeah, school would be fan-flipping-tastic if I was stable and normal, but, y'know, I'm not, so it's really stressful.

My first quarter of school is halfway through so I've already been going for a while. But I feel your pain. It sucks.

I actually miss school pretty badly, but I'll be signing up for online classes next semester, so meh. I can wait a little while.

I dropped out because it was driving me out of my mind, and i almost killed a dude for pushing me just a little too far... so i took off and never went back, needed a break to reasses life and it's values... i quarantined myself from my peers for about 6 years during which i just had me, an internet connection... and tons of spare time... i studied alot of stuff... and have thusly developed a multitude of philosophies that apply to current living...

I'm actually looking forward to school. I need my routine to get back to normal and the sooner it starts the sooner the end of summer blues are over. Plus I have had contact with one of my friends during summer and I want to talk to the rest of them.
