I also cheered for the hunter robot with the dog on that one episode of Samurai Jack. Lulu... sweet thing.
Yeah, that episode was epic. I remember thinking maybe they were going to have some cop-out ending where they team up to save Lulu, but nope.

OT: Team Rocket, to the extent that in those first games, when the guy at the end of that bridge with five trainers asks you to join, I've always wanted to do it. Pokemon + being a boss in a crime syndicate would have been pretty sweet.

Also, the Bible. And the Diary of Anne Frank. /Troll'd

Antagonist and Protagonist don't have to mean bad guy and good guy; Toronaga is just as much of a dickhead as Ishido, perhaps even more of one. In fact, I think that Ishido was actually in the right, in that book :S

The Arishok? Unless you're poking fun at the game having no clear-cut major antagonist/villain. (Though it does feature many personages of incredibly warped and/or evil persuasion).

I'm poking fun. I'd rather poke the Marketing team with something sharp, but this will have to do.

Though now you mention it, the Arishock is a good example. The game only ever seemed to come to life when he was on screen. So yeah, I guess I WAS rooting for him. That, and everyone else felt utterly insane. His hatred of being stuck in Kirkwall reflected my own thoughts.
I wanted to go off with him on a much more interesting adventure.

The "bad guys" in Avatar
THANKYOU! THIS 1,000,000 times over.
I pretty much ALWAYS root for the bad guys, but in Avatar they were actually in the right for once. Damn, I hated that movie.

I can't really think of any antagonist right off the back that I wanted to win, but I think the one from Gun X Sword wasn't all evil. His plan, while bad in a lot of ways, also was good in a lot of ways.
He wanted to use technology and drugs to make everyone like him, so there'd be world peace and happiness... as well as turning back time and bringing back the dead some how. He didn't seem all that evil, more of the type that just thinks that they have to do anything that helps them succeed in their goal, which could be for good or evil.

Arcanum's villain. Yes, he's

enslaving an entire clan of dwarves, deceiving all the dark elves, assassinating people left and right
and plans on literal omnicide. And yet, it's hard not to agree with him, or at least feel sorry for him.

Also, in Morrowind, Dagoth Ur. Mostly, I just really wish there was a way to talk him out of the whole thing without having to kill him.

I have never outwardly rooted for the bad guy. It's just not in me to do so! *shakes head*

The most I can do is like whine about the fact that the person is the antagonist, acknowledging that they're kinda cool, scowling at that knowledge and wishing they would somehow join the good side.

Pokemon Black and White. I rooted for Team Plasma all the way. :D

I just felt like they had the right idea. They were just implementing it wrong.

Fucking hell lots of hate for Avatar around here. Guess I'll have to actually see that at some point.

OT: Homefront.

I imagined that the North Koreans had simply been trying to find all the generic character that were in the game and kill them. Seriously, wouldn't that have been really satisfying?
