Just say to yourself what I do: the Internet deserves to listen to me. With enough narcissism, it's true anyway you interpret it!

MW2. "We fixed the endless re-spawning of enemies in single player! Now they re-spawn BEHIND you! Huzzah!" Not to mention snow levels.... "You'll be a ghost in this blizzard. They wont see you until you get close." Yeah, but when they DO see you, they will suddenly be able to see very well through the blizzard and hit you with pinpoint accuracy from 100 meters away.
And it's not bad enough that chopper gunner and AC-130 are so fucking overpowered, they have to highlight you with a red square to make it even easier for your team to get raped by some prick who's been camping all match to build up their killstreak. FUCK YOU IW.

For me recently it was WET. **SPOILER ALERT** There's a level where you board a plane to get this book for some woman, and of course it explodes so you spend the rest of that level plummeting through flaming rubble to grab it having to dodge everything from the size of a wing to a pack of lit playing cards as if you get hit you have to try again.

Literally like 15 attempts later i finally complete it which leads in to a cutscene involving the woman. I yell at the TV "Here's your f***ing book" only to have Ruby say the exact same line to her. The only time i've known a game character to be equally as ticked off at a situation as me.

Fallout 2.

That game fucking hates me.

'Oh come on! I had a 70% chance to hit! At least one of those seven shots should have been a hit!'

you critically miss, falling over and doing 5 points damage

Gecko hits you for a critical hit for 6000000 damage.

The wasteland has reclaimed you

In BlazBlue. Hakumen is a dick to begin with, with that obnoxious unblockable and practically unavoidable Astral move with his sword. I have still not beaten the entire story mode because of him. Making me play as Ragna and beat him once... then, although they let me go Ultimate Ragna, having to face him again RIGHT AWAY with very little health without being able to save! Controllers went flying and I have not played the game since.

Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon had an epic time-wasting dick move extraordinaire.

Not that I think a whole lot of people care about spoilers in a Harvest Moon game, but nonetheless:

After being given several ways to not have to worry too much about watering crops, including magic crystals and a freaking ROBOT, which the game constantly suggests you use, you reach Winter, only to be told that you need to have watered non-stop throughout most of the game in order to save the world from destruction.

I'm not sure if the level of dickishness comes across quite well in text, but Lord Thunderin' Jesus was it a monstrous slap in the teeth.

In Okami, at the end there's a minigame to collect snow on a big ball, roll ball over snow, collect snow, ball grows. Reward: bead, need to collect 100 of em, one of the last to get.

Anyway, after being annoyed by the ball, messing around hating the game and Amaterasu's pyramid shaped head, I only had like 10 "snows" to go, after doing it for an hour. That's when the game froze on me, died and set me back to pretty much where I started that day...

In Kingdom Hearts II, I always found the battle with Demyx (The one in Hollow Bastion [sp?]) incredibly frustrating, as I could never get rid of all those Water Spirits or whatever they were in time...

Also in KHII, the battle with Xigbar in the World That Never Was...the fight itself is easy. It only gets ridiculous when he spams a few thousand homing shard/lasers at you (No amount of Reflect or Parry would work)
The water spirits never seemed that hard to take out in time, though it did suck big time when you happened to screw up, especially when the battle was pretty hard already. Thanks for throwing in an insta-death for no good reason, never mind there's not even any logic to why you would lose if you didn't take them out in less than 10 seconds.

"Hah, you failed my time challenge, Sora! You lose the fight!"
"Wait, what sense does that make? They are weak, pathetic and pose no threat even if I let all of them running around! Let's just continue our battle now, thanks."
"Nuh-uh! You lost Sora! HAHAHAHAH!"
*Sora facepalms so hard he cracks his skull in*
GAME OVER

Yeah. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

An hour? This took five minutes tops for me...

Are we talking about the same thing? Collecting the snow is a tedious job, since fire melts it, and just walking around with the ball is annoying...
It litteraly took me over an hour to manouver the ball all over the icy plain, dropped it in water, left it too close to a fire(which I thought I'dd put out...) and general messing up, but still, ball control was by FAR my biggest issue...

What console did you play, Wii or PS2? I did it on the Wii, but I don't believe it matters, since it's done without motion sensors. Drawing blizzard seems to be impossible though...

I was on PS2. I figured the fire would melt it, but it never became an issue.

Sorry, bud; it seems like Okami is one game the Wii would really excel at adapting to its unique controls, but by all accounts it handles in every way more clumsily and unpredictably than its original counterpart. I mean, yeah, maybe the snow-rolling thing took seven or eight minutes max for me, but that's really pushing it. But it did seem pretty awkward even on PS2, and the Wii controls might have conspired to make it practically unplayable.

And yes, we are thinking of the same section; there isn't really any other segment like it in the game, thank God.

Edit: Oh, that's done without motion controls? Well, bugger me. I've got no idea why that would take an hour. If you don't want to blame Clover, Nintendo, or yourself, feel free to blame me if it makes you feel any better.

Sometimes, it feels as the the L4D2 director will simply decide that it's time for you to lose. "Oh, you're on a narrow bridge? Beat this tank! Okay, now this one! Okay, now this one (plus the horde)!" There wasn't even enough time between them for the Tank theme music to lapse.
