Times you've nearly died...

There's been a near death experience for all of us at one point or another, such as nearly having bunk beds collapse, nearly dying from drowning, nearly tumbling over a cliff. I myself have a few...
1. When i was young, and extremely lightweight, a gust picked me up when i was near a cliff edge. At the time I didn't realise how close it was, but i landed in a clump of glass near the EDGE!
2. When i was trying to reach the surface of the water, someone parked a huge rubber boat over my head. Needless to say, i certainly panicked a bit.
3. Once when I was buried under a sheet of corrugated iron with clay packed all around except the head.
Anyone else end up in situations like THAT?

As a child i was almost blown away by a hurricane in Hong Kong, thank god for trees.

and in holiday trips to Australia when i was 6 i have been drowned, by the Rip-curl, scared to death by a shark, and a Bloody commodo dragon did the same, i ran and broke my nose against a lamp post, the fact that a Dragon can just take a casual stroll across the pavement with noone giving a shit is odd to say the least.

and almost fell down the stairs.

i Almost got hit by a car, 3 times, and then i was almost in a car accident. then i fell out of a pretty tall tree one time.

when i was around 10, i was over my grandmas house. she was making something on the stove and i put my hand near it and ime still baffled as to why it happend but my shirt caught on fire and i really burnt my hand good. i was also almost hit by a car.

I was shot when I was 12.the bullet went through my left leg and into my right ankle because I was in mid walk. It's the reason I'm so short and why I have a slight limp.

Nearly drowned in a pool when I was a kid when another kid jumped on my back and would not get off. Was held up at gunpoint. Almost ODed one time. Got blood poisoning from a cut on my elbow.

I was almost hit by a truck (so Ive been told) as a toddler, and also (through being told) apparently fell down an escelator as a kid, resulting in a broken neck or something. Glad I do not remember them though.

As a child, I went to a soccer game my sister was playing in. it was at an elementary school, and a playground was over looking the field. I went up to the playground, played for about a half hour, went down to the field, couldn't find my parents, or my sister on the field. Now they were there, but my 7 year old mind thought that they'd left me behind. So I started walking home(it's about 2 miles away from the school), about 20 minutes into the trip, i realized i had no idea where i was. I probably wouldn't be posting right now if after about a half an hour of walking around crying, some people called the police and had them contact my parents.

Does that count?

Been in 2 bad accidents, been almost hit by other vehicles three times, did get hit by a vehicle once, almost got crushed by a pallette full of paint cans, fell through ice into a lake, almost got beheaded by a forklift. Oh and nearly had relations with a girl that had Hepatitus C.

There are probably others that I just didn't know about. It makes you wonder.

Nearly had my head run over once slipped on ice by the roadside mate thankfully pulled me back before I could react (stupid woman was speeding anyway on icy roads no less)

Dad nearly killed me golfing I was further ahead he made his shot it was so close to my head I heard the wind rush past my ear as it passed me.

Nearly got cut in the stomach by some arsehole the second time I was mugged thankfuly moved fast enough and the blade only hit my upper leg.

I almost poked my eye out on the edge of a table when I was 8 months old.

I have died before apparently I become so dehydrated that my heart stopped, they thought my mom had done something to me. But they brought me back ran some tests and they found out I was just extremely sick. I spent a few days in the hospital and got better.

I was little when it happened my temp spike to 110 and on the way to the hospital they had me covered in ice packs.

When I was about 2 I crawled/walked out of my backyard and was found on the side of the street outside my house. I was almost hit by a car at 6 unfortunetly one of my friends ended up dieing instead. I also fell into a construction site at about 6-7 I didn't come close to death because there wasn't any dangerous equipment around but I hurt my arm so bad the doctor was amazed it wasn't broken. On a more medical point of view I had pneumonia 2 times.

On the flip side I almost killed someone accidently but thankfully they were saved.

2 years ago, when I was on a school trip to Washington DC, I wasn't paying really any attention to where I was going (talking to friends behind me) and I almost walked right through to the intersection where about 20 cars where coming.

I almost walked right into it and I could have died, but a girl, whom I've only talked to a few times before, leaped out and grabbed my shirt and pulled me back in. That girl saved my life and I re payed her by taking her to dinner and we've been together ever since

A little dramatic? maybe. The best way to meet a girlfriend? Yes

just once. me and my dad were quadding and we came a cross a gravel pit. so i started messing around in it. eventually i pushed my limits to far and i barrel rolled of the side of a 4 story 60-70 degree slanted cliff. amazingly i wasnt hurt but it sure scared the crap outa me

remember a quad weighs between 300-400 pounds, im only 140

According to my parends, I once hung myself by accident with a chain from a swing when I was 5 or 6. I have no recollection of the event.

I've also been narrowly missed by speeding cars who run past the red lights on several occasions.

Another time I drank so much I blacked out, and woke up in the trunk of someone's car sometime the next morning, freezing my ass off and missing my boots. I'm so glad cars now come with a little glow-in-the-dark ripcord for such events. Luckily, I was in a familiar neighborhood and managed to sneak into a friends house and crash on the couch.

Scared the living shit out of his mom, too. I didn't mean to, she threw a purse on my head and I jumped, causing her to scream.
