Timesplitters 4!?

So apparently there is a rumour going about that timesplitters 4 is in production, not much information but here's the link!

So how does everyone feel about this, are they ecstatic, could they not care less, do they not want to get their hopes up? Personally I hope this is true and that it comes out this or next year, then all we/I need is Battlefront 3 and we/I are/am happy!

As long as it has the same guy making the character models as the three previous games, I think it could be pretty awesome.

Well, Free Radical's remaining staff ended up with Crytek, so if it's true then good times indeed!

However, that it's being developed 'for the next generation of consoles' is a little perturbing. That puts it several years off at best unless Microsoft and Sony suddenly drop massive bombs later in the year.

I want more Cortez damnit, it's been time to split for too loong now!

I really want this to be true, but I have a niggling feeling that regenerating health and two weapon systems might show up when it's close to release day.

I want my 40 odd quirky characters with funny catchphrases in HD though, and my Banana Gun.

Well that rumour has been around for some time, but I really do hope that it's true. What with all the less-serious FPSs being released developed at the moment (Like Duke Nukem and Bulletstorm), now would be a good time for it to be released.

The one thing I would like the most would be a level editor, with a modern engine, like the one used in the far cry games only with the ability to make your own story levels.

Still, on one hand, HOORAY! NEW TIMESPLITTERS!

On the other, BOO! NEW CONSOLES!

With all the complaints about game budgets and whatnot, a new console would just make it all worse. Games these days already all try to appeal to as wide a market as possible. It'd be worse on a new console.

I really hope Timesplitters doesn't suffer from this if it's true.

I'm a little saddened to be honest. We wait ages for TS4 and it goes to the next generation? Ouch.
