Free Radical have unfortunately, gone bust, so no new splitters i'm afraid, apparently they were working on Timesplitters 4 but that'll never see the light of day. The world will be a darker place.
I thought they got bought by Crytek or something so aren't they now Crytek UK? Whether that actually allows them to work on TS4 or not I don't know.

In fact this link has some info http://crytekuk.info/

Still I loved Timesplitters and only a few of my friends new it and enjoyed it, but we would just set up Training Ground on assualt mode, or deathmatches and just make it us against as many bots as we could set up. Made for some fun times.

TS2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I spent many hours playing the arcade mode.

I lost count of the number of times I failed to beat the one with those freaky hand things in the nightclub.

Okay, hands up who thinks the whole TimeSplitters trilogy should be released as Xbox Classics on LIVE Arcade? I'll chop my sister's arms off and glue them to my back if it means that I get two extra hands up.

I've actually hearda bit of bashing from diffrent people about timesplitters.
I for one love the game, I love time travel storys and movie, so the idea of it being used in a video game was appealing to me, also the aspect of it was so well done (you shoot things while future you helps shoot other things then ten minutes later you shoot things while past you shoots things you've already shot, BILLIRANT) that it was unbelievable. I think they should reboot the series on the next gen consoles. Think of the possibilitys with the new graphics and technology.
Anyways I think it was a great game (i only played two but i want to play the others) I love how it varies in tones one minute you could be shooting people on a train in the wild west and in the next you're running through a haunted castle shooting a giant deer creature. It was simply brilliant and me and my best friend still have long running (almost 2 years) inside jokes about the crazy stuff me and him would do in co-op.

I have only now heard of the franchise, shame on me. Are there still people online for a good MP match?

I have TS2, and me and all my friends think is SUCKS. But, most of us played halo before timesplitters, and so we always get pissed off when one of us dies in the two player story mode, then just has to sit there being dead until the other person finishes the level, and after that none of us had the patience left to make a custom map, or for that matter do much of anything with it. I guess we have all been spoiled with more forgiving games.

T: FP is one of my top favs of all time. Supposedly, the fourth installment is in development and either releases this or next year.

Timesplitters 3 Still ranks amongst my favourite games. For me, it covers a lot of things that current gen FPS don't touch on - map maker, having a sense of humour, bots, being fun and original.

They don't make 'em like they used to, that's for sure...

You know what I never ever finished? It was I think a challenge, a scrapyard assault level where you are against pretty much just robots and thread lasers, it was ridiculous and must have been put in there for a joke. Do you remember which one I'm talking about?
Do you mean the one where you have to go all the way through the scrapyard to get the item and get out again? I think I missed that one out too if so...
Embarrassingly I also skipped one of the cat-racing ones too - I just could never do them! Sometimes we played with just bricks in the Mexican Mission. I dunno why it was fun, it just was!

Yes, that was it! It was just ridiculous, I'm sure that was a joke because it was bloody impossible. And bricks. Ahh sweet bricks.

It was okay, but the whole thing never really took off for me. Probably because I was more into single player games back then. Hell, I still am.

Somehow, it kinda disappointed me, really...
I just didn't like the feel...
Then agian, I'm very picky with FPSs, and I'm terrible at the more stealthier sections on the harder difficulties of TS2.

I LOVED Timesplitters, being able to play as a robot monkey with an rpg would never get old.

Only heard of the Name, shame on me..

But I think I will get the second one for GameCube, I just have one question: I don't play Local Multiplayer very often is it still worth it?

Got bored and checked out the wiki - the world record for that challenge is 1 min 54.8 secs :O
I think it was considered one of the most difficult challenges definately - I still have to get a viable reason for being so crap at cat-racing though.
