Whats something, that doesn't by any means make or break the experience, that really annoys you about the game? The more inconsequential to the gameplay or the plot the better!

Mine was in Saints Row 2, they offered you races to be (White, Black, Hispanic, and Asian, but only three male voice options: A higher timbre voice that speaks in gang slang, (assuming black)a voice that occasionally substitutes spanish words for english words (hispanic) and a voice with a thick English accent (very white). What if I wanted to create a asian character? I tried and none of the three voices fit.

Reading this back to myself, it sounds a bit racist but I assure you this is not my intent. I am only annoyed with the fact that there was not a voice for every race that was offered. Anyway go ahead and come up with better ones.

In GTA 4 how the screen fades out before you get to see your dead body hit the ground or fly away funny.

I'm a big wow fan, even have a few webcomicals about it (coffin-comics.com [http//coffin-comics.com]), but what bugs me to no end is that some things are just really really low quality textured, and right next to high quality textures. For instance, in the ICC raid, you're on an airship; the wooden planks of the floor are high quality and pretty, and there's a giant Horde symbol made in stitched leather but looks like a 1kb gif file stretched 500% larger.

Well, here goes:

- Death animations of your own character (especially in hard games)
- Unskippable cutscenes before hard bossfights
- Invisible Walls or impassable shrubbery (Oblivion, I´m looking at you)
- Bad AI companions, that you have to protect (Silent Hill 4, I´m looking at you)
- Bad Console-PC ports (Oh Silent Hill 4, I am so looking at you!)
- Games treating me like an idiot (I frequently act like an idiot in games, no need to encourage me in this!)
- The generall assumption that somehow videogame storytellers don´t need to use their brain
- cramming love interests into everything (Silent Hill 4? Oh yes, I am so looking at you again)

Not that anyone could tell, but I really like Silent Hill 4. IT just annoys the bijeeeesus out of me... ;-)

When games don't let me customize the text speed. This is more for the RPG/JRPG with no voice acting. Just show me the whole thing, I don't care that the scrolling text makes it look like the person is saying it. I can read faster then you can display the text.

I remember someone pointing out that at the end of a multiplayer match, there's a big difference between how a high-ranking NPC will react.

"We may have lost that one, but we'll win the war."
"GODDAMN IT PRIVATE, YOU'RE A DAMN DISGRACE TO YOUR COUNTRY, YOU SHOULD BE SHOT RIGHT NOW YOU LAZY PIECE OF SHIT MAGGOT!"
The latter annoys me greatly now.

-Mini maps that are NO help
-My female character being addressed as a male (Yeah, Old World Blues, did you think I didn't notice?)
-Those edge-of-the-map-instant-mortar-areas

Invisible walls where they have no business being there.
Physics that makes the character get "struck" to something, happened to me all the time in SH: Homecoming with chairs for some reason.
AI that you have to protect and it always seems they have the mental capacity of a brick.
Shoving romance plots into everything where there's no reason too, again SH: Homecoming- you know it was uncalled for!

Rockstar making it so you have to raise your phone to enter cheats in GTA4. Maybe there was another way I didn't see, but that was an idiotic decision to make. I, and most people who played GTA 3-San Andreas, could enter at least five different cheats in less than 10 seconds. I have the weapons, armor, health, police, tank, and jetpack cheat down to muscle memory. Having to pull up the phone and enter numbers breaks that rhythm.

Call of Duty 4 split-screen and WaW had the worst pre-set classes I had ever seen, and they constantly prevented my friends and I from enjoying split-screen. MW had some retarded offline level up system where every player had to make a profile. My friends and I spent an entire year playing MW with each other over split-screen, and our highest level had barely unlocked the M16. And that was because he spent an hour or so powerleveling by knifing an AFK player on Rust over and over again. Black Ops did classes right, yet removed any real map customization. Holy fuck, it's like they have a quota of shit they have to fulfill before Activision agrees to ship the game.

L4D on console should have four player split-screen, Valve. There is no excuse. At all.

Every game with tanks should have a vehicle enter and exit animation. I'm tired of the bullshit of seeing players get away from a burning tank at the last second because the E-button magically teleports them to the outside of their vehicle. It's bad enough that it almost always takes more than one shot to destroy a tank. United Offensive set the standard for balancing armor in my opinion. Tanks were extremely powerful, but tank maps had 88 cannons and boxes of respawning panzerfausts which could, at the right angle, destroy a tank in one hit. It meant you couldn't just roll over a map because you had a tank.

nothing really until recently when i started playing hidden object adventure games. and i have to say, that fucking standard issue shiney indicator thing can go to hell. i can't even play them unless it has an expert mode or anything that lets me turn that damn thing off. let me figure it out, damnit. i don't need the game holding my hand and walking me through every damn step i need to take. and it's standard. this is the normal way people play these things. baffles the mind. i can only play the rare ones that let me turn it off.

Games where your character gets stuck in between things or behind things. For example, League of Legends. Yesterday my champ got stuck between a turret and a shrub.

Bad vehicle sections. I'm looking at you Mass Effect. And you know what, I don't like the Warthog in Halo at all.

Limited character customization. Looking at you Forsaken World. Geezus, you're made by Perfect World International, your main title has the most complex character customization in the world, or so it seems. Why does your next title have everyone looking the damn same?

I hate games that only let you customize your face. And, even when it's the only thing you can customize, they still make it overly complex.
