Not being able to jump and being stopped from going somewhere by and invisible wall or something that would actually be really easy to get over or go thru. I have to go all the way around because of a fence that?s only slightly higher than my knee? Especially when this happens in games with platforming and your character gets over harder obstacles all the time.

Just because I played the Witcher recently. DON?T SHEATH YOUR DAMN SWORD UNTILL I BLOODY WELL TELL YOU TO. I?ll be running up to a monster I want to kill and ¾ of the way there he puts his sword away. ARGHH. And if he draws his sword in a cut scene he should have it out when I get control back. This is especially annoying in certain places where he draws his sword, fights a monster for a bit and then when you get control back his sword is sheathed and the monsters is right next to you.

If I?m' playing a game with a customisable character and I am unable to give my female character a decent pair of pants.

I hate love interests, I really do. I hate games that try to shoehorn them in the plot for no good reason (Assassin's Creed -.-).

Also support characters who are supposed to be funny but are just annoying as hell.

And Anders...I really, really hate Anders.

I hate it when all the bodies, blood, and debris fades or disappears after the mayhem is over. Just Cause 2, F.E.A.R. 2, and Mass Effect 2, I'm shaking my head at you guys.

oh god this is a tiny thing but I hate in mmos when your outside of range for a skill and your character doesn't walk into range. I can't play mmos that do it that way -_-

Repeating textures. I know there is not much that can be done about it, but it still irks me! Whenever I make a map for Source, I'll do whatever I can to hide the repeating textures, like use decals and overlays of pipes and stuff to cover the spots of texture that stick out.

I hate it THAT much!

-Death animations that last forever
-Blocks of text and being expected to know it all
-Invisible walls
-Unskippable cutscenes. I don't mind it if you see them once or if they're extremely short, but it kills replay value for me. I'm looking at you, Kingdom Hearts! The harder parts of the game are SO long-winded with their cutscenes to the point where I could put down the controller and complain to a chat room about my failure and then get back without having gameplay start.
-Grunt-level enemies with huge walls of health.

I'm easily miffed

In The Sims 2, you can't change the height of your characters, only their age group.

In Kingdom Hearts, the ABYSMAL underwater controls in Atlantica.

In The World Ends With You, there's only one save slot. So you can't let a friend borrow the game, you can't let your brother play the game when you set it down for a little while, nothing. You can't even start a new game without completely deleting all of your old data.

In the DJ Hero games, how there seems to be no way to play a completely random song. In the first, there isn't even any option for it. In the second, the Party Play option seems to pick from a specific set of songs, I've played a few songs several times on it while never seeing others.

For me It's gotta be (predominately In FPS) when either your Guns magically hover just behind you without actually touching your back...and Not dropping or Inserting a magazine when reloading >.< (G.R.A.W.2!!!)

loading screens
bad movement controls
bad controls in general (it not doing what i tell it to do, basically)
no auto aim (on consoles)
glitches (when the game is supposed to be epic, i don't mind them so much in smaller games)

Tiny things that annoy me in games. I guess I have two:

1. When the game assumes that I'm 2 and treats me as such for the entire game.
2. When characters are trying to be serious in a game that fails to be serious in any respect.

No wait...those are big things...

1. Those unskippable little intro things at the beginning of certain games that are "Hey, we made this!" logos for companies that we already knew made the game.

Done.

Aliasing. Of those lines aren't all perfectly formed, my inner OCD will kick in and I will ignore everything else and focus solely on those renegade pixels. I can't even play games made before the dawn of the anisotropic filter any more.

Fuck pixels.

Bad controls or poor design choices.

For example, I love Shadows of the Colossus, but there were times when I NEEDED to get on my horse, but noooooooo. That was the jump button too! So unless I positioned myself perfectly beside my horse, I'd be jumping up and down while a ten story monster crashes down on me.

Same with any game that decides to use the same button for evasion and going into cover, and then chooses to throw you into a cramped environment. I'll just sit there thinking "Who's stupid idea was that? God dammit!"

OH this is so great to finally rant about!!
For someone who is a die-hard fan of Fallout 3(like myself) who logged 150+ hours into their overly-stacked game (me again!) I have one rather irritating complaint about it;

Whenever you're using the arrows at the bottom to find your way around the map, and your destination is obstructed by, or is very convoluted by, a whole crapload of mountains or destoyed stuff! It wouldn't even be a BIG deal if you could go over it, but nooo, of course there's invisible walls that don't let you jump up a small hill that your character really has jumped up to in the past at a different location!! Therefore, this causes you to traverse the ENTIRE DAMN THING to get around & to your objective!!

And the worst is when you just end up right back where you started because all of the damn mountains look the same... happened WAY too many times to me.

I hate any game where your taking aim on an enemy that hasn't noticed you yet and the moment your retical touches him he turns and starts fireing. I've playing over a dozen games where this happens (most recently, the first Infamous) and it fucking pisses me off. like they have spider sense or somthing.

When the campaign is bad because less time was put into it but it is a hit because it has "awesome multiplayer" looking at you Halo and Call of Duty.
