I was born with naturally red eyes (Ocular Albinism) yet my right is darker than my left (which is also my worst eye). All my life I have been called a "witch", a "demon", and "the daughter of Satan" by people who saw my eyes. My parents were banned from their church because of this, and they've never forgiven me for it.
Perhaps someone told you this on the other thread, but just in case:
Right now, you may still feel that your eyes are a curse, but I promise you: in the long run, they will be a blessing.
Why? Because you will never, ever be forgotten by anyone you meet. Right now, the attention that it brings you is negative, but once you get out of there and get off to college, and later on to real life (where you won't be interacting with people who are narrow minded religious or superstitious dopes) that will be a big advantage. You'll stand out to people who can help you: bosses, professors, etc... Plus, I bet you also could have a lot of fun with it... oh yeah, you totally strike me as someone who'll have a ball.
Out of interest, tho: why didn't your optometrist give you a tinted non-prescription lens for your good eye? Usually insurance will pay for a pair of contact lenses, and it is easy to make a non-corrective lens (they just don't grind it at all).
As for what makes me strange and frightening to others:
-I'm almost 6'5" and I'm very solidly built (but not fat). People seem to like to look at me and think "Big dumb jock." And yet I have an extensive vocabulary and- more importantly- I use it in regular conversation. I have been known to quote Shakespeare, too.
-I started going gray in my 20s. Personally, I'll take that, since at least I'm not balding.
One of the sweetest joys in life is blowing people's hardwired little minds by systematically destroying their preconceptions.
