A developer accepting people's opinions about their game?, well, that's completely unheard of!, not even indies are as accepting!.

My only reason to keep using Origin was because of Battlefield 3, but between the debacle of DICE's shitty reaction to BF4 and the completely awesome Planetside 2, I've completely uninstalled it out of pure spite, if Titanfall wasn't tied to Origin, I definitely would've tried it.

Are these guys really Ex-Infinity Ward? "Fuck you, play with 65FOV" IW? "We don't consider the PC an important market" IW?!
Wow, either they learned their lesson from MW2, or they were being held back by the people they left behind.
They haven't changed much, the PC version has no server brower, is locked to 60FPS as well as not allowing mods or custom maps. It is pretty disgraceful since Titanfall uses the Source engine.

Well I guess that's one way to tell Aus/NZ players to fuck off. Fair enough Respawn, fair enough.

To be fair, not allowing mods is fine by me since this is a 100% multiplayer competitive game. Nobody should be allowed to tweak the game beyond the settings the game allows.

Config files were huge problem in BF4 where players found out ways to disable ingame mechanics and lower fog/dust, so people running at max settings were at a disadvantage lol.

Also AFAIK the FPS locks to whatever the monitor refreshes at. TotalBiscuit would be the first person to bring up something as huge as a 60fps framerate lock, he runs on a 120hz or 144hz monitor.

However no server browser, no private servers, no Aus/NZ servers...that is fucking unacceptable.

Got the beta, played the shit out of it for 7-8 hours straight. Pre-ordered it from Green Man Gaming for $50 and not looking back. Can't wait for release. Great fun.

Pretty much how I feel after having played the demo for 9 hours straight yesterday. I'm pretty much just barely holding off from pre-ordering in hopes of finding a lower price somewhere.

And damn, after all my talk of "screw EA" and "let's wait and see" I am now totally and completely hooked on Titanfall.

God-damnit, should have just smoked some crack yesterday. Would have been less addicting.

I could be over-reading it, but there seems to be a vague undertone hinting that EA/MS is botching the servers (in no real surprise anymore), and this guys trying to get (potential) customers to lean pressure on them to fix it so the game doesn't launch-pancake like Simcity, D3, etc.

Have faith in the Emperor and He will provide.

A refreshingly open comment from a designer; seems odd though that such common sense as "If you don't like the game, don't buy it" is worthy of a news article. As for the game itself, it looks rather cool but tragically I am far too poor to have a next-generation console and will probably only be able to pick this up when the fourth sequel is announced for the PS5.
When things like early-access, awful preorder bonuses, and stuff like... well, Colonial Marines... ANY kind of developer interaction that isn't "Shut up, buy the game you cow with a wallet" is depressingly refreshing.
Yeah yeah, I know.....fingers crossed this honesty will eventually become the norm.

If you have a 360 you can wait like me. :) I generally don't like shooters. Especially the gray brown ones but this looks fun enough and since they are putting it on the 360 as well as the bone it gives me an excuse to put off buying that black VCR even longer.
Sadly, my 360 hopped its twig and went on up to Silicon Heaven last year and since my PC is circling the drain *and* I don't intend to get a Xbox One, I'm kind of screwed when it comes to this game.
