I'm liking To Boldly Flee so far. Mind you it's dragging at over an hour and FINALLY we have liftoff, but other than that good.

I also liked Suburban Knights, though it was spread a bit thin.

Also, is it just me or is SadPanda (?) wearing a Yahtzee "professional troll" shirt? I don't watch his stuff, so I don't know if he has worn one.

It's not as bad as Suburban Knights, not as good as Kickassia. I'll reserve a bit of judgement until later, though.

I'm pissed at Linkara's one note appearance. He shows up once, Mechakara gets into his space ship (IT'S A DAMN SPACESHIP! HOW DID HE GET IN! HOW DID HE KNOCK ON THE DOOR?), and is then never mentioned again.

But it is quite decent. The beginning starts with a damn funny SOPA parody (Where's the IT guy? How do I turn this thing on?) And it's nice how they are giving Spoony a last hoorah.

And in case you are wondering, I loved Suburban Knights.

Haven't seen part 2 of TBF. Is it funny as well?

And to those who say the site's gone downhill: I say ATFW. It's still as great as ever.
I think your (and my) enjoyment of the story stems from a common point then: To Boldly Flee feels a lot like something Spoony and Linkara would write together. Your thoughts?

I like it so far, tbh, I can't wait to see the rest of it. I'm pretty pumped Doug is doing his best General Zod. KNNNEEEEEL! XP

You'll notice the story is full of plot holes, that is one of the focal points of the story, the world is being filled with plot holes, they have to fix it

I'm enjoying it so far...but it does seem a little long. I'm mostly interested in the love triangle of Todd, Lupa and Nostalgia Chick. Todd is my favorite critic on the site, so I'm happy just to see him get a larger roll in things.

Umm...where have you been watching "To Boldly Flee"? Almost no scenes in the videos so far have been meant to be taken extremely seriously. If anything, the more "Serious" scenes have been more-or-less set-ups for funny moments.

As for my opinion on TBF and TGWTG (Abbreviations!), I find both of them entertaining. While I feel that the Nostalgia Critic has gone downhill a bit simply because he seems to want to add a gimmick to every other video (see; Baby Geniuses reviews, the Scooby Doo review, etc.), the rest of the reviewers on the site are doing pretty good. I appreciate how Linkara and Film Brain always stay true to the reviewing format (AKA they came to criticize, not make jokes), Angry Joe and Nash are always good for their reactions, and I believe Todd In The Shadows is on a roll. Now, I question why Blockbuster Buster was added to the site as he happens to have an extremely annoying voice, but I know he has his audience and the same goes for every other reviewer on the site.

It is not great but I have smirked a few times, would like to see more Brad Jones, CR and Todd though because having Nostalgia Critic and Nostalgia Chick having alot of the focus bores me. Although saying that it is great to see Spoony in a massive part! Would of liked to see the Blockbuster Buster in the special as well.

Waiting for obligatory James Rolfe cameo.

Well I like it. I also think discussing it rather then on the website that is producing the video is kind of stupid. There is an entire forum over there to discuss this with people who will actually all know the video as opposed to here where only some people know or care.

Yeah his voice is very annoying and his acting is shite BUT his reviews are actually quite good and he knows his stuff when it comes down to it, the guy has passion which seems to be lacking with guys like Linkara and recently NC.

Also Phelous has by far the most annoying voice on the site.

I don't really wanna argue heavily about Blockbuster Buster as I've literally only seen about one-and-a-half of his videos, but I will argue that Linkara doesn't seem to have a black hole begging for passion around him. (I REALLY hope that sentence makes sense...)

Nope I do not really get what you mean by that, I'm guessing you mean in contrast to the Nostalgia Critic that his fans in this scenario are the black hole and NC has run out of passion and ideas which causes his videos to be stale as of late, while Linkara still has ideas I guess?

I believe I was trying to say that Linkara doesn't seem to be devoid of passion while the Nostalgia Critic is.

Well...duh. Did my OP really come across as though I were stating my opinion as fact? I made the thread wondering how people on a different site liked TBF and TGWTG.

Sorry, but whu? His voice is one of the most abrasive voices I've ever heard.
To be fair, he's a pretty harsh critic. And honestly, as long as the content being said is good, I don't care what he sounds like. But to each his own :)

I like it so far. Not sure if I'll like it as much as Suburban Knights, but I think it'll be better than Kickassia. 2 out of 8 segments isn't much to judge with.

And of the three TGWTG reviewers I keep up with, I will admit that NC is my least favorite of them, however I still like his stuff. Linkara and Spoony (yea, I know he was fired) are only getting better though. :p

It's crazy idea time!

If you don't like it, stop watching it!

I don't like the new Doctor Who, I haven't watched it since Let's Kill Hitler because I decided that enough was enough. I don't ***** about it online, I don't criticise people who watch it or anyone involved in the production or the cast. I gain nothing from the criticism, and no one who read my whining about it would gain anything either.

Maybe, and I know this is a crazy idea, if you don't like something, you should stop watching it?

I'll be frank, I've never really liked the Anniversary videos TGWTG puts out.
Kickassia was a setup for Doug to deliver the 'Of Course!' line. The rest was crappy jokes and awful acting.
Suburban Knights was basically the same, only with more people to act badly, and SLIGHTLY better jokes.
To Boldly Flee is actually not that bad thus far. There are far more jokes which got a laugh out of me, and the effects are decent this time round. I completely expect the embarrassment of the previous two to return with a force, but so far, I'm not hating it.
I won't comment on the story lines, because they're basically taking the piss out of classic films, which gets old in 3 minutes.

I never watched their anniversary specials. I mean, i appreciate the effort that goes into them but it's just not what i'm watching TGWTG for. I watch them to see them talk about movies, not for some elaborate web-series.
