Are you getting it mostly for any of the offline features (not just Campaign, but zombies, splitscreen, etc.) or online multiplayer?

I can predict that this thread will be one-sided and that everyone is obviously getting it for the multiplayer because come on, who's gonna buy a CoD game for $60 just to play the single player? But as I pointed out in my question, perhaps the zombies mode or even local multiplayer is enough to warrant a purchase not intended for online play.

And my second question, when you do get it, are you jumping into the campaign first, zombies, or online multiplayer?

Me, I'm mostly getting it for the multiplayer because of friends, but I am still going to jump into the campaign as soon as I get home. However once my other 3 friends jump online, it's off to the online battlefield!

I'll probably play the campaign first. Then it's on to combat training, a game mode that should never have been beaten and left for dead as all other developers did to it.

I'm only ever gonna get it if the price goes below......Oh who am I kidding, it's never gonna get low enough.

Of course, my neighbor's getting it on PS3. Free zombie Split-Screen =D

If I get it, it'll be for Zombies and local more then online. I never cared much for CoD multiplayer.

I'm going to be getting it for a bit of everything. I'm sure the campaign will be solid (though likely not as intense as Infinity Ward's), and I'm probably going to exhaust the offline options before diving into the online ones.

If I get it, and I probably won't, it would be because of the multiplayer. I wish that the campaign warranted a $60 purchase like the campaign of COD4 did, but I know that it won't.

I guess I'm buying it for a bit of everything.
Finish campaign, get to the 1st prestige level in multiplayer, play zombies until forever.

I always blow through the campaign first, since COD games tend to re-use a lot of things that were in the single-player. I wouldn't say I'm after one more than the other, though.

I'll get it more for the promise that Treyarch is actually gonna give a shit about the games multiplayer after it comes out rather than going the IW route of "lolololol we haz there monies kthxbai".

Zombies is ok but there's only so many times I can camp in a corner with an LMG spraying down zombies for an hour before cocking up and getting the whole team owned. Single player is still a must play though.

Campaign. I always buy games for the campaign. I HATE multiplayer, unless it is co-op multiplayer. And Zombies. CERTAINLY getting it for the zombies.

Campaign, zombies and bots. I'll play multiplayer every now and then if it's good. Seeing how they'll actually have dedicated servers makes all the difference.

Me, of course! It's the sole reason I bought MW2 in the first place. And FYI, I paid $120 for my copy. Yay for NZ/Aus game prices.....

Campaign first and foremost. However I've had a lot of fun with CoD4's multiplayer before, and I hope Black Ops multi doesn't disappoint.

I'm getting it due to the setting interesting me, as well as the fact that things like quickscoping will be nerfed in comparison to previous CoDs.

Plus, I just cannot toss up the chance to defend the Pentagon from a zombie invasion while playing as JFK, Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, or... some other government guy.

I'm not getting it.
I feel as though I've over-dosed on Call of Duty games in the past couple of years.
Unless it gets incredible reviews, I won't purchase.

Well said.

I'll be buying for the overall package. Treyarch have gone all out with Black Ops, and having the full weight of their development team has put them onto something great, judging from all the evidence. It doesn't evolve the COD formula, but it looks like it will innovate (COD Points) and refine (non-stacking kill streaks) the various game-play elements; this is great because the COD formula makes for some wicked-fast and fluid action.

So far, all the evidence suggests a highly polished and balanced game (unlike MW2). Even better, is that Treyarch take their community seriously.

I'll be jumping on the SP first, and then training mode, so that I can get a 'feel' for the maps.

I think both. But I start with the Campaign anyhow because that way I can tweak the options a bit to my own liking.
