It's only for a week, just put yourself out there and try to get to know people. Chances are since you are on the same course you have the same interests and other people there are just as worried as you are. Focus on what you're there to do and making friends should come naturally.Island said:really nervous, i got a scholarship to go this art school called arrowmont to take a week long class. i just got here and i don't know anyone, what to do, or anything. i would like to have a good time and make friends, but i have never been any good with people. oh and since i was dropped off here if i hate it i cant leave because i don't have a ride.
any advice?
Have you considered going just for the class for knowledge's sake? If you simply work by your own merit without any direct intention of talking to anyone, people might take notice of your art skill and that would be enough to spark interest and conversations.Island said:really nervous, i got a scholarship to go this art school called arrowmont to take a week long class. i just got here and i don't know anyone, what to do, or anything. i would like to have a good time and make friends, but i have never been any good with people. oh and since i was dropped off here if i hate it i cant leave because i don't have a ride.
