I've just got to ask this, i've been too curious what the general consensus is for a while now. I'm sure this has been asked numerous times before, but i'm going to ask it again anyway.

Do you think Pokémon is just for children, or do you think over eighteens can safely admit to liking it without appearing to be "weird"? I used to love it back when i was a nipper, watched the TV shows, bought the games, hell i even got caught up in that damn card craze at school.

I was looking over my old gameboy colour cartridges from years ago, noticing i still had Red, Silver and Yellow. I almost wanted to play them again, for nostalgia.

[sup]...That shit is like crack.[/sup]

You're never too old for Pokemon. It's a great game. Everyone here likes it.

(psst... buy SoulSilver... it's like nostalgia + crack...)

I think not that pokemon is only for children, I still play pokemon, will still play pokemon in the future, and so on.
My friends think I'm crazy, I thank them for the compliments, and play some more pokemon, I buy the new games, my brother sits on me because of that.
People of any age can play pokemon, and many does too.
Have red, blue, yellow, silver, gold, sapphire, pearl, platinum, heart gold, and soul silver, I play most of them still.
You will never be too old for anything, maybe too old for kindergarten playground, but still you should know what I mean.

Never too old for a video game. Unless it's for the Wii. Those games are rather silly. Pokemon, on the other hand is super hard core serious.

I'm 21 and I still like to play my old Pokémon games every now and then.

I'd find it weird if people took some sort of umbrage to my choice of video game. It's not like I try and throw Pokéballs at pigeons.

I dunno. For me, Pokemon has become an uncomfortable mix of a cute, simple, all-ages game and an overly serious 'hardcore' fan scene.

The only Pokemon game I've ever played was Pokemon Blue and I liked it well enough, but I have absolutely zero desire to get into all those sequels.

Pokemon is the greatest game in existence.

No other game has little balloon things that would kill and eat children if they could successfully carry them.

You are never too old for Pokemon. It's only 'weird' to people who don't understand that it's a complex RPG, not a child's plaything.

Whenever me and my mates are discussing RPG's, Pokemon is regularly a fcus of that coversation and none of us have anything bad to say about it. We're all 16-17 and we still like Pokemon.

Potential for strategy is too deep to be for children only. Plus, Slowpoke is cute. NO-ONE is too old to think that.

I have been known to pick up my DS and throw in a Pokemon game before bed. for the same reason i intend to go see the last harry potter movie, it was my childhood, it reminds me of a time where work was far far away, and highschool had become the thing i never went to :)

I played Red on GB Colour back in the day. Was fun but I don't feel like trying to collect all 39,000 or whatever they are up to now. Also I resent the lack of Scyther and Rhyhorn/Rhydon respect.

"Mew-who?" It's that VGCats with the talking geriatric Game Boys, right?

(I don't think anyone has ever said "talking geriatric Game Boys" before)

No, because it's so damn addictive. I know a few people who still play it, and age doesn't bother them.
