...OP is aware that Wonder Woman's people were the Amazons is he not? And that forbidding men from their island is in keeping with the myth from which they as characters derive?
Actually in history class we brushed the subject of the Amazons, who according to myth were uncivilized because they had no male leadership,
You sure you have no problem with feminism or things revolving around women? Saying they're uncivilised because there were no men around to lead them? Uhh...

Anyway, can't say I've really gotten crazy over things in a fandom before.

I take Demon's/Dark Souls way too seriously. You'll generally see me defending it's design decisions to the death in any article or thread that it gets brought up in.
I'm definitely guilty of that too, filthy casuals just don't get it (jk)

Mordin Solus.

I am a Mordin Solus F'ing Fanboy.

I dare you to say anything bad about Mordin.

Actually, I'd kinda like to see someone try. It's kinda hard to find something to criticize.
I approve. I'm generally a fan of the entire salarian race. Everything they do is just so interesting and badass and ethically questionable. Love 'em!

Do you really want me to bring it up again? Do you, really? I've been called out for it here. Very well, Godzilla 2014, that is it. What, do want another rant? Go look at my other threads.

Edit: Hostile tone is joking my lords (mods) please don't strike me down (ban me).

Newspapers that can't get simple Doctor Who information right.

Examples;
Writing "timelords" instead of 'Time Lords'

Insisting it be abbreviated to "Dr who"

Calling this a Dalek plunger when it is clearly an eye stalk

And various other instances that show their articles are not written by actual Doctor Who fans or anybody who knows the first thing about Doctor Who

Well, if you allow me to flex my humanities class learnings for a second, that's not the op's problem here, as, that is what the Amazons were. They were myths and propaganda created by the male leaders to keep women in their place. The more the rumors spread about horrible monoboob barbarians that hated men, the more men tried to keep women under their control.

Oh yeah, I'm aware that most of the things surrounding Amazons are myths made to cause beliefs like women can't lead a society, it just makes me sad that it's still working and being taught in history classes.

With regards to me...let me just use Revenge of the Sith for a minute here.
Just to play devil's advocate here for a moment, she died not due to childbirth but "because she lost the will to live", assumedly from the knowledge that she lost anakin to the dark side. That being said, it is one of the stupidest ways to end a character.

I've actually met a few people who have gone WAY overboard on the whole mlp thing. We're taking full blown arguments, kinda strange and unusual cosplay, the whole bit. I've certainly watched most of the show myself but they kinda it to a whole different level.

As for me personally? I'll admit I've been a little bit of a fanboy when my friends try to convince me that League of Legends is better than DOTA2. I simply couldn't accept that a game where you pay for the ability to play heroes and where every game is the exact same team in the exact same spots is the better of the two. The worst of it is that none of them even played the other one to have any kind of reference. I've kinda gotten over as of late though. It simply isn't worth the hassle at this point.

Wrong part of the equation Jux. :p My issue with it wasn't the result so much as it was the build up to it; ie, that Anakin and Padme saw her death in childbirth as a very real threat, despite their medical tech being far superior to our own (and our own tech makes maternal death a rarity if we assume proper access to it)...and yet they don't stop to think "Ok, how do we avert this...I know! Let's keep a doctor on call! Let's check to make sure that the hospitals haven't missed any potential complications! Or hell, if Padme's gonna die and we can't guarantee the baby's safety, maybe we should plan to induce labor!" My problem is largely that they perceived 'death by childbirth' to be a threat - despite a high-profile and apparently wealthy senator presumably being at exceptionally low risk for it (Especially with what we know about medicine in that world) - and yet they don't actually act like rational people should in that world, instead shrugging logical precautions off to give Anakin an excuse to 'desperately' turn to the dark side. The death was stupid, yes, but as I see it the build up to it (or rather, the lack thereof ("because, Dark Side! >:D")) was far worse.
