I haven't really liked a lot of the 2013 albums but these two are great:

Acid Rap [http://www.datpiff.com/Chance-The-Rapper-Acid-Rap-mixtape.483826.html]

This was by far the most refreshing album I've heard this year. Shits all over Yeezus.

My Name Is My Name [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Name_Is_My_Name]

The best traditional rap album to come out in a minute. Suicide and Nosetalgia are grimey as fuck. But of course kids these days wax on about soft shit like Macklemore and Drake.

I haven't loved a ton of music from 2013, but what I did like was:

Marnie Stern- The Chronicles of Marnia: for continuing to funnel her weirdness into more melodic directions while still being frenetic as fuck

Charli XCX- True Romance: for being the first modern pop album I felt compelled to buy in ages

The National- Trouble Will Find Me: not their best work, but I'm never unhappy when The National release new music

Anamanaguchi- Endless Fantasy: I'd only heard the Scott Pilgrim game soundtrack and the theme to the Nerdist podcast from them prior to this. I didn't expect anything half as sprawling as this.

Kitty Pryde- D.A.I.S.Y. Rage: because Dead Island is a badass song

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds- Push The Sky Away: after Grinderman and the past two Bad Seeds albums, I appreciate the change of tone here away from overt rockishness. Quiet and ominous is just how I like it

This hasn't been a good music year for me... Arcade Fire's Reflektor was a huge letdown and I haven't really picked up another "full album" that was released this year other than Daft Punk-Random Access Memories which did wow me quite a bit... usually I wait until the year end lists to start figuring out what to listen to... cuz musik is HARD you guys..

I'm too lazy to put in it in any order:

Kasey Musgraves - Same Trailer Different Park
Low - The Invisible Way
The National - Trouble Will Find Me
Steve Martin & Edie Brickell - Love Has Come For You
Depeche Mode - Delta Machine
Eels - Wonderful, Glorious
Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
Billie Joe & Norah - Foreverly
MGMT
Janelle Monae - The Electric Lady

Damn! That's ten already. I didn't mention Sound City soundtrack, Panic! At The Disco, Elvis Costello & The Roots, etc. Every year there are great music. It just never get any airplay.

This website/forum seems to prefer metal so I'm going to ignore the fact that Ctrl-F tells me no-ones mentioned Bon Jovi's amazing album yet.

Can't say i've heard too many new albums this year, at least any that i recall being exceptionally good but one;

Korn - The Paradigm Shift

I didn't have much expectations towards their new material, since the last album was utterly boring.
Few albums before that weren't that great either.
But then i heard this one, randomly picked it up and damn, the album rocks!

Korn has finally taken steps back to their "golden age" and totally nailed it.
Don't let the first video song fool you, rest of the album doesn't sound anything like that.
9.5/10 points.
