These bastards. And generally anything that has a one hit kill attack. That I officially proclaim to be the ultimate sin of gaming!

They always get the first turn, and always use Bad Breath immediately, which causes your entire team to be incapable of acting and kills them after 4 turns or less, so unless you have equipment specifically designed to save your sorry ass it's an automatic Game Over. There's only one save point in the entire (rather large) dungeon, which is at the very beginning. Have fun!

Assasins from Half-Life.
I actually enjoyed fighting them, truth be told.

I think one of my least favorite enemies are the mutated babies from Dead Space. God they're annoying.

What springs to mind immediately is:

Darknuts, Leevers, and Keese (LOZ series)
Cliff Racers (Morrowind)
Teras Kasi Clone troopers (the dicks in the Jedi Temple in the SW3 game)
The shotgun/body armor pricks from Black
Lambent Dretches (GoW)
Hydralisks (Starcraft)
Murlocs (WoW, WC, love/hate with those guys though)
Any ghost in the Fatal Frame series
Marlboro (Final Fantasy)
Boomers (L4D...they always barf on you at just the wrong time)
Gungans (Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds...I always seem to have trouble with those pricks)
Tiger Woods (20xx PGA tour series)
Most of the enemies in The Force Unleashed that are actually worth noting at all. Seems in that game the only challenge comes from some random BS ability or defense that interrupts the flow of choppyslicethrow.

They were fun to fight and it was so satisfying nailing one of those bastards in the back with a crossbow bolt.

There's a game I know by Square Enix that came out just before the Final Fantasy games called Legend Of Dragoon.

There was one boss who had an attack that would literally lower your level by 5 each time. It could use it as many times as he wanted. It also had several extremely powerful moves, one for each of your team member's weaknesses. No matter what setup you had it was TOTALLY FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE.
