I might missed something on the rules but shouldn't Saint Seiya be on the list?

I personally didn't like yu-gi-oh but it had a big cultural impact too.

Others
Dexter's laboratory
Silver Hawks
Bravestar
The adventures of Fly
Care Bears

Seems pretty skewed in favour of comedy shows but I guess that's to be expected. I feel like there's a few shows that definitely DO NOT deserve to be on that list:

baby muppets (it's so high on the list to)
space ghost
alvin and the chipmunks
chip and dale

but it's all a matter of opinion. I'm surprised MLP isn't on there actually, how old is this survey? I'm not a fan of the series myself, but it's definitely popular and iconic; hell, they pretty much own the internet right now : \

edit: never mind I'm blind

Since when was IGN ever taken seriously as a credible source? They aren't successfully balanced at reviewing video games, let alone television. I forgive them for not watching Clone High, because it only lasted one season, and they possibly hadn't heard of it. But they should probably find a method of making a list that doesn't make everyone that reads it excessively angry.

I would have sworn that there was "Home Movies" when I saw that list myself... I must have been mistaken. Thus, this list is missing it, and it needs to be put on there (I think it should replace Xiolyn Showdown, cause really, it was okay, but it's nothing to write about).

Forget about popularity and judge the script, voice acting and comedy or drama quality, did it have power?

Full Metal Alchemist is one of the most powerful animations I've watched and South Park (seasons 1 - 11) had possibly the biggest impact on the world, so controversial but clever.

All of the bronies are disappoint.
I mean, it's popular. You can tell from the amount of people on this channel alone that have it as their avatar.
The stories are, eh, good. Not amazing, and sometimes predictable, but better than half the crap cartoon channels spew out nowadays.
Animation is great, no doubt about it.
Iconic? Yeah, for better or for worse MLP:FiM has had a big effect on the internet. Also, there are a ton of events set up JUST for it. That's pretty big if you ask me.
Again, we bronies are disappoint.
Also, The Simpsons hasn't been funny for a long time.
I can't tell if the MLP entry is for FiM specifically of the franchise in general. There are times on this list where I'd see an entry and think "which one?", like with Alvin and the Chipmunks, and other times it's specified, like with TMNT.
Based on the criteria, if it's the franchise (MLP/n'Friends/Tales/FiM) I'd have it ranked further forward than where it is and probably would have bunched it with the other big oft rebooted shows born during the buy all our playsets and toys era (Transformers, GI Joe, TMNT). If it's just FiM, I'd hold off on ranking it based on this list's criteria. Don't get me wrong, if it was just a list of favorite shows, it'd be at least in my top 10, but I'd wait to see what sort of impact it has on the industry before ranking it by itself.

Yeah, I was talking about FiM in particular.
And in terms of the criteria, like I said, it's VERY popular, animation and writing is spot on and I personally think it'll be very iconic in the future considering how much of an impact it's had and the fact that the audience was so... controversial? Interesting? Different? Whatever, you catch my drift.

I actually really like this list. I do think Spongebob should be in the top 10, though. That show has humour that reaches all peoples of all ages and that takes mad skills.
The top 5 is brilliant, I can't really argue with it.

Tom and Jerry only got to 66? Pinky and the Brain only 47?

Both apparently beaten by Scooby Doo Where Are You and it's appauling laugh track at 24, and The Real Ghostbusters at 22 with its... umm... complete forgetfulness apparently. I can't remember a single thing about it. MADNESS.
Although I am pleased to see Animaniacs at 17, and Futurama at 9.

Also you haven't even mentioned Wacky Races, or even better, Catch the Pidgeon I would have them in my top 10 at least. MUTLEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

I meant whether the OP aba1's list had FiM separted out or lumped with the rest of the franchise. I assumed you meant FiM.
I agree with you about it being iconic in the future, and the popularity and quality criteria are enough to rank it. It does belong on the list; I guess I'm just waiting to see if the industry is learning something from FiM.

Ah, sorry, a little confused. I assume the OP meant FiM, also. And I hope the industry learns from it, we could do with more shows like it.

I think that the original Ben 10 series should be on that list, it was one of the best shows I watched as a child. The villains were badass and it had some awesome alien designs.

Ghostfreak was arguably the best alien transformation in the show.

Better list than I expected.

Disappointed Courage the Cowardly Dog, Young Justice, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Kids were missing though.

And if the first two episodes are any indication of how The Legend of Korra is gonna play out, then it also definitely deserves to be on this list too.

Both that and Young Justice are kind of too recent to be in a Top 100 list. Not that recent shows can't be good enough but I think they need to stand the test of time.
