SO what are your top 3 game of this gen?

Probably best game i have ever played. that dark and gritty atmosphere. gunplay is best ever and setting is best. Zone is incredible. Entire game is Masterpiece

It was hard choosing between this and 3, but 3's dialogue system has so much less choice.

Skyrim? Meh.

Even Yahtzee liked it.

1)Valkyria Chronicles

Just an amazing game I absolutely loved it and excellent presentation throughout.

2) Xenoblade Chronicles

The best RPG this gen and one of the best games as well truly amazing.

Dont really have a third these are the only two that stood head and shoulders over the others for me so far.

1. Entire Mass Effect series for me, but three was the pinnacle of the series

Everything that's best about video games.

(The series). Just a wonderful game experience.

Fun story, tight gameplay, and a very solid multiplayer.

I could probably name another 20 from this gen but these are the ones that I best remember.

I can't give you two more, but here is one that deserves a spot on a top 3 list:

I can't really say for sure, but two of the very best I've experienced were Mass Effect (the first one) and Red Dead Redemption. I'd almost agree with BioShock but as a game it didn't exactly innovate like the other two. A fantastic game though.

1. Fable 2 - Possibly my most beloved game I currently own.
2. Fallout 3 - This one probably has my max amount of hours, it is a pure masterpiece.
3. Oblivion - I like Skyrim just fine yet, despite all my qualms with Oblivion, I found myself missing it...

I would have to say, for my most played games of this generation: Infamous 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Red Dead Redemption

1. Mass Effect 1.

Such a close call between the first two games of the trilogy, but 1 is where the magic begins, therefore it wins. Say no more.

2. Red Dead Redemption.

I can't think of anything bad about this game. I'd say we dont have enough western games, but it's better the way it is so they don't become diluted methinks. It has such a brilliant atmosphere, I'd give it number 2 just for the scenery and music, let alone the story and all the rest.

3. Company of Heroes.

Not the most groundbreaking RTS ever, but with it's expansions I cant really fault it. Plus the damage engine was just fantastic. many hours of enjoyment gleaned from this game.

Let's see:

First, there's Bioshock

Then, there's Fallout: New Vegas

And lastly, I'm going to cheat and say Persona 4 Golden

Here's my reasoning:

1. Persona 4 MAY have been a PS2 exclusive, but it came out while this generation was in full swing.

2. A tooled-up re-release on a current-gen handheld should be sufficient.

3. Even though this hasn't technically come out yet, unless they somehow manage to remove EVERYTHING that was amazing about 4, and replace it with rat feces, I don't see how this can be anything but great.

1: Mass effect series. I can't put one game over the other, they share a place.
2: Skyrim. It's lacking in some area's, but still an amazing game overall.
3: Dragon's Dogma. If you can look past the npc's that NEVER SHUT UP and the no fast travel to a place, it's incredible.

As you can tell, I'm a huge RPG fan.

Since they're series, I'm not strictly picking "three games".

1. Demon's/Dark Souls. The combat is awesome and progress gives you a feeling of satisfaction like almost nothing else. There are bits to each that I like more than the other, but I'll have to play them both a second time to decide which is actually better.

2. The STALKER games. I love the realistic feel to combat and the atmosphere is incredible. They had more than their fair share of bugs, but the complete mods have fixed most of that. I liked the original the most, but all three were well worth my time.

3. Valkyria Chronicles. I've never played anything quite like it. Beautiful art style and so much fun. Sucks that the sequel was PSP-only.

It was good to see former people from Black Isle make another Fallout game.
