Fallout 3 (Yes it counts) Metro 2033 and Deus Ex:HR. Yes I dare say this is indeed as good a list as I'll likely be bothered to create.
Hopefully csgo(Counter strike Global offensive)- played css for over 2000 hours so defiantly worth the price Or css if that counts as this Gen.
Then Bf3 but bf2 if that counts this Gen also
And also call of duty 4 mw(preferred cod 2)
In hindsight I think I prefer older fps games

Define this gen (and for some people, define FPS lol).
I'd also suggest rating the Orange Box as one game is a bit unfair, not only other games, but to Valve. Each game in that package should really be judged on it's own merits.
If we're going back that far, i'd say CoD4, TF2 and Portal 1 and/or 2.
Nothing recent has really floated my boat, although I haven't picked up BF3 yet, and I don't really include the Fallout games or DXHR as standard FPS games (although I understand why they would be on a FPS list).

Halo 3 (I'll probably get some hate for this, but its inclusion of 4-player co-op, the customization in custom games, the forge, the theater and Bungie's incredible support post-launch meant that Halo 3 set a new benchmark for shooters and games in general imo - there was just so much included in the package)
