I was honestly surprised by The Hobbit. I knew it was going to be at least decent, but I didn't think I'd end up being immersed in the movie almost the entire way through. Peter Jackson really has a thing for beautiful landscapes. Oh, and the acting wasn't half bad either.

It's worth mentioning that I preferred Django Unchained to all the films I am going to list but I only saw it last weekend so I don't know if it counts?
