Can't. Stand. It.

But I also can't deny they have chemistry (however forced I think it is) and that it's incredibly popular.

Yep. It's fantastic. Though why the BBC considers it 'factual' when it's much closer to being a comedy with some vaguely factual elements to it...

I think it's popular because you don't actually have to like cars to enjoy it. The hosts are idiots, and not afraid to admit it, so there's always something interesting they've come up with.

Incidentally, they recently had a 'showdown' with Top Gear Australia (I didn't know Australia had it's own version to be honest.).
... In keeping with the episode VS the Germans earlier on with the same premise, they had a competition.
But the English Top gear team were being cheating bastards...
And won because of it.
It was hilarious, but I've gotta ask how many more times they can get away with that stunt before the people they're invited notice.

I'm sure they'll come up with some excuse though. XD

Don't know what you're talking about. We never cheat. It's called British enginuity, if the other team didn't think do the same thing, it's their fault.

Also, James always wears the white driver's suit when he races. Any similiarity to the The Stig is purely coincidental.

it's a great show, though i think more and more of the 'disasters' that happen on their challenges were scripted. it's still hilarious

Yes, yes. Of course. He totally wasn't hiding behind that tree. ;p

Scottish girl, sitting in a stupidly comfy chair, watching it right now. Bloody love the thing. Got told by someone when I went skiing that my Clarkson impersonation is spot on. I wasn't doing one, but hey, I didn't mind.
On a vaguely related note, it was Richard Hammond who netted me a high mark in a school solo talk, because I chatted about the book him and his wife wrote about recovering from that accident. Good times.

Oh so the general consensus is that it's great?
three men that never grew up getting to play with stupidly expensive toys the like of which the rest of us will never get in our lives, but wait it gets worse they get paid to play with the stupidly expensive toys!

If you?re British you pay for this cr@p, your TV licence pays for this!
You do know, that's what makes it brilliant fun.

Obvious troll is obvious.
I'm not trolling I'm just making my opinion heard, which is the general idea on a forum! If people want to watch then they can, I'm not stopping anyone!

I know next to nothing about cars and I love the show. Hammond is my favourite, he's adorable :p

I love Top Gear, I even watched it when Tifney Dell was on it (yeah, that was a while back).

It's just a great bit of fun. There's been many a time when I've nearly died laughing from some of the 'comady of error' things they end up doing. Sure they've said and done some questionable things and I support those who call them out on it but any other time it's 24-carat gold humour.

At its simplist, it's 3 grown men who like cars, motorbikes and other lad gadgets being complete idiots on BBC2. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I started watching Top Gear last year and quickly burned through all the seasons except the first. It's probably the most entertaining show I've ever seen.

The American version is pretty bad. There's a few ever so slight glimmers of hope in it but I don't think it's enough to salvage the show. I think it mostly comes down the hosts and their interactions being forced and wooden.

Yep, love it. Not that much into cars but the power lap times is one of my favourite segments.

Plus Amber Heard was on it last week, she's hot!

Who doesn't like the guy with an opionion thats visible from the moon (the bast place... in the world), a guy who is capable of getting embarassed about his teeth and can drop a cluser "F" on the drop of a hat and loves a 40 year old opel, and a guy who has been up to 30 km high in an U2 spy plane and names his socketwrenches?
The V8 blender and the bloody awful makes it worth it.

Want entertainment, watch Top Gear.

Want decent, unbiased facts, look elsewhere.

I'm just annoyed that they've been ignoring a certain road car for a long time. A car that has been proven to be the fastest around their track, just by someone other than the Stig.

Plus, Clarkson hates bikers and bikes......he is my enemy!
