I like cyberpunk...
You should play Resonance of Fate if you haven't already.

OT:
Sin City
Royal Tenenbaums
The Usual Suspects
Really it looked more Steampunk-ish or Renaissance-y from the trailer I saw...

ya, i guess you could call it steampunk. similar, right?
not really Cyberpunk deals with the integration of advanced technology into society and steampunk really only refers to a world that uses steam as the primary power source...

1) Starship Troopers
2) The 13th Warrior
3) District 9
thankyou. yes! it doesn't matter how b-grade, trashy it is, Starship Troopers is by far the movie I keep watching over and over again the most.

also

The Fifth Element.

and Final Fantasy: the spirit within.

don't know why, don't know how, don't even know if they are my favorites. but they are the ones I keep going back to the most.

-zombieland
-monty mython, holy grail
-all lord of the rings

1 Hot Fuzz
2 The Shootist
3 Righteous Kill

I mean sure I like 5000 other movies and I could easily replace these top 3, but these jump to mind. Plus maybe someone hasn't heard of them.

I admit that none of these movies are by any means great films, in fact they're pretty bad. That change the fact that i've had more fun watching these movies than any others.

Big Trouble in Little China
Big Trouble is all the best parts of all the bad 70's/80's action movies. The characters are shallow and the acting is subpar. But it's just plain fun to watch. Jack Burton is my personal god.

Street Fighter
Not the crappy remake, the Raul Julia/Jean Claude Van Dam one. It's a horrible, horrible movie. There is not one thing that works in the entire film, and if any of the movies crippling problems were in any other movie it'd kill the film. By comming together though, they become something amazing. Something so horrible it's wonderful.

Wizards
Ralph Bakshi was on some serious shit when he made Wizards, and I wish he still was. The characters are pretty standard and the story is your typical fantasy vs. Technology. But the art is cool and there are some really intresting concepts at work. Not to mention the best final battle ever. Massive spoiler.

We need more of this thread.

I'm going to do a new top 3 since I have seen some movies since my last list, and i'm still curious on what movies people love (so I can watch them).

All 3 are Lord of the Rings movies. Those aside, my picks are:

1. Batman: The Dark Knight

2. The Departed

3. Inception
You, sir, have good taste in cinema (well, The Departed was a bit messed up, but it was still good) :D

OT:

1. Inception
2. Source Code
3. Eagle Eye

And those three switch up wildly and without warning with LotR, The Dark Knight, and a few others.

Also, I feel Back to the Future deserves an Honorable Mention :D

My top 3:

1) Aliens

2) Saving Private Ryan

3) Memento
I definitely agree with 1 and 3 (2 was pretty good, too), but I'd probably throw Empire Strikes Back in there...
