Torchlight MMORPG...?

So I started playing Torchlight 1 a few days ago, and I've loved it. Since I knew nothing about the game/developers then I dont know if there is a Torchlight 2. Upon googling it, it seems it will be released in 2012, and will have multiplayer ( DDD ).

But scrolling down the wikipedia page, I saw this...

Prior to the release of the first game, Runic Games had announced plans to develop an MMORPG set in the Torchlight game world to follow the release of the single player game.

So I was wondering what people would think of a game like this. I would love it. Ive never really gotten into MMORPG's before, but I'd play this, under the condition that it is NOT "F2P" (translates to: "As expensive as you want it to be").

But yea, I'd play it.

Not sure a game of Torchlight's character will be suited for an MMO game as it is now. I can only think of it being a World of Warcraft-clone basicly. As the game is now, it would be great with a co-op system, all hack'n'slash-styled games are in my eyes.

Building a MMORPG from a game, and be successful in making an appealing game for a large audience to be worth doing it, I believe it to be really difficult and right now never will leave the discussion board as I see it.
