And trust me when I say this, These trailers are showing what the models and graphics will look like.

At least from my experiance with the Warhammer games and to a degree Rome 2 and Attila.

And usually when trailers like this pop up that means the actual gameplay footage will be revealed soon.

Cow cow!

Its very exited which makes it all the more tragic that I'm certain my computer won't be able to run this game.

Ehhhhhhh no gameplay, no interest. I want some meat.

How are the siege battle?

How complex are the town/province? Are they unique or just generic?

Are we back to quickly breaking unit or near unbreakable one?

Thrones of Britannia has a lot of good idea in it but needs some refinement, I hope they build on it.

Well here is some food for thought, apperently there are 2 "modes" of this game, The Romance version and the Historical version.

Historical being the more grounded in reality one that plays no different from Rome 2 and Shogun 2 and what have you, and the Romance version that will have the more fantastical elements like Single Unit heroes that can wade through 100s of lesser units:

We?re working with numerous consultants to ensure both historical and cultural authenticity, one of whom is renowned historian Rafe De Crespigny
It's nice to see Rafe getting the attention he deserves. With him on board hopefully we won't get the usual 'Liu Bei = good, Cao Cao = bad, Sun Jian = irrelevant' bullshit.

Definitely keeping my eye on this one.

I think Dynasty Warriors, particularly the last couple of games have done a decent job of different points of view. I have noticed, like in DW8, that it tends to present the kingdom you're currently playing as in a good light, and the enemies in a bad one, so yeah, Liu Bei is man of the people and so benevolent it hurts, and Cao Cao is a psycho dictator, but then you play as Wei and Cao Cao is a radical progressive who sees people not by status but personal ability, and Liu Bei is a delusional and emotional pain who stands in the way of peace.

Even the Sima family in the Jin storyline and Lu Bu in his come off as not so bad compared to past representations of them.

Dong Zhuo is always terrible though.

I think Dynasty Warriors was always more based on the book than the actual history. Naturally, the worst villain in the book would be the one least likely to get their own story portraying them as a good guy.

Segue back into the topic: since this game is focusing on the actual history more than the book, or at least that's the impression I've gotten, then it's only fair that the 'heroes' and 'villains' mean a lot less.

Weeeeeee

I'm guessing this was under fantasy rule, seeing as some of the commander were alone. Otherwise looks okay, I didn't get a feel for how easy it is to break ground troops and create rout, which has a huge impact on the flow of battle.

The siege looks nice, much better than warhammer siege. Like that not all commander are the same and that the commander can get different unit (although I'm guessing you can just trade them, maybe some form of mallus under the wrong commander) Nothing ground breaking really, will wait for campaign gameplay.

DO NOT PURSUE LU BU!

Oh, boy! I've wanted Creative Assembly to tackle ROTK since I played Total War: Shogun. If Lu Bu isn't the most overpowered warlord in the game I'll be incredibly disappointed.

Edit: Oh, actual gameplay. Looked like standard Total War affair up until that amazing duel between Xiahou Dun and Lu Bu! Cao Cao and Zhang Liao shit talking one another was also pretty sweet.
