Ugh, the worst thing that'll come out of this is TB getting money and continuing his boring shtick.

At least Yathzee is actually funny. I cringe whenever TB starts showing a game and spend 20min in the options screen.
Well.. thing here is, most videos that he puts up have an annotation that links to the actual gameplay section of the video whilst he's digging around in the options menu. Hearthstone drafts have a similar skip option built right into the video. Some of us rather like having the full information available as we're not likely to get an indepth view of those sorts of things without buying a copy ourselves.

Gotta say, I saw the takedown coming even before I finished watching the original critique. The kinds of people who would ship a game that pathetic are exactly the type who would also try and step up to a legal battle for little provocation; in a word, morons. I don't buy their line that it's just a single individual for the simple fact that it went on for so long. Coming to a full realization of just who and what their - and I really hate to use the term as I don't think it fully applies to the people involved - "legal team" is going to have to deal with is more likely.

I suppose at this point, though, when one's head is lodged so firmly up their own excretory tract, it certainly helps to have a map.

By the way, this is how the video looks like now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB8YRafUfCY
I wonder how Fun Creators can deny their involvement and claim their benevolence if Youtube itself shows they did issue this copyright strike?
"WTF Is... - Gui..." This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by FUN Creators. "

You are absolutely right, fully informing people of the product they might buy makes for absolutely horrid comedy.
But it's pretty important when trying to inform people about the product they might buy.

And if it isn't yet clear enough, that WTF series is not a comedy show.

Well... That's PR suicide right there.

"Remove all your tweets and delete your channel."

This is going to be a fun journey. Buckle up FUN, reality has arrived.

Lolz I remember when TB Said I'd love to see them try doing a Copyright claim on my video...

Oooo they are so dead...
It's quite surprising there is one isn't it, I'd say it's almost suspicious.

Didn't TB gain between 50k-100k Subscribers shortly following the Gary's Mod Incident?

Why is everyone blaming FUN? This is Youtube's fault. And its not TB's channel we should be worried about, his following is big enough that even if he leaves YouTube for another video hosting channel, he will be fine. What about all the other small channels that get sniped by such companies thanks to Youtube?

Because this isn't an automated take down, this is FUN targeting his videos and issuing a takedown themselves.

FUN (or whoever is using their email and twitter) has been blatantly threatening TB and accusing him of conspiring against them and forgery. Youtube is merely allowing them to act on the videos, and while not innocent (for allowing this obvious breach of fair use), it's not the juicy core of what makes this so pathetic. We've had cases of the over-reactive Youtube copyright bots before, and the companies who are most understanding will apologize and try to sort things out by removing the claim manually. If this was really an accident then FUN could've removed the claim without any drama. Whether or not this started on Youtube's end, FUN is certainly to blame for it's actions over twitter and email. Read what they've said. They've been acting like brats.

And it doesn't matter if this is happening to smaller or bigger Youtubers. It's a matter of right and wrong, not the person who is being affected by it. If people are willing to attack one of the biggest gaming personalities on the internet, then the smaller fish would be easy to bully. The one constellation with it happening to TB is that he DOES have a lot of followers and the issue would be more visible. Not to mention he would (ideally) have a bigger influence on change in Youtube because he attracts so much traffic and therefore more ad revenue to the site.

Im actually not surprised this happened with youtubes automatic claims processing. Im going to be a voice of dissent though even though I usually watch TBs videos. From my point of view I watched the guise of the wolf video and TB tore it to shreds. However as I was watching the video I didnt think it was really that bad. Im not, nor will I ever be a graphics guy so I wont shy away from a game that looks bad (hell my favorite game is X-com enemy unknown (1993) so graphics dont mean a thing to me as long as theres good gameplay and/or an interesting story).

The stealth system was laughable but so is just about every games stealth mechanics. So what else was really bad about the game...um, nothing that I recall from the video. I have not bought the game and have no plans to, however I really do feel like TB was harder on the game then he really needed to be and I kept not understanding why. His criticisms, to me, didnt match up with much of what was shown in his video. Guise of the wolf, based on my limited video watching was not Gary's incident in awfulness and yet it seemed like he hammered it harder then Gary's incident.

Perhaps you need to watch the streamed videos to really get how bad Guise is but the one video I watched didnt tell me that the game was bad. It just said "this game is not for me"

That said, FUN is dead wrong for taking down the video. Any company that would censor criticism does not, nor will it ever, deserve consumers money. Even if their game turned out to be a diamond in excrement their actions have forever steered me away from them. I will always look at them with suspicion and distrust

Holy shit, did anyone see this tweet from FUN?

They shopped the email, into... I don't even know.
My brain fucking stopped working.
This has to be some kind of farce. Maybe the company was hacked, maybe it's run by a sociopathic 14 year old.
What the...
I don't even.

Maybe they think that if they keep digging their hole, they'll eventually pop out the other side of the world.
That has to be fake... it has to be... well LETS DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN!!!!
Seriously this has to be a stunt, its like their baiting TB.
Welp they asked for it.

Its not supposed to be entertaining, its informative. He looks at a game, he tells you why its bad. This is called an, explanation and sometimes it may take some time to discuss it. Or alternatively you can... oh I dunno not watch video's that makes you cringe...
Anyway if you noticed he has more of a sense of humour now, rather dry jokes that I find funny.

Double post... derp.

Trust me, if you watched the research stream it looked much, much worse. If anything, the WTF Is... video was going easy on the game. It was a glitchy, buggy mess, where the player would glitch through the walls and trees and rocks of the game; if you press the enter button to skip a conversation the game gets put into windowed mode and has to be rebooted in order to restore it to playable condition; if you attack something too fast in werewolf form the sound doubles, tripples and quadruples; the artstyle, which puts thick, black outlines around everything, makes it look like characters have pieces of their faces missing; the audio level fluctuates wildly between characters, with one character being barely audible without turning up the volume, and then the next character you talk to focres you to turn the sound down again or risk your eardrums...

Like TB himself said, it seems like the game is a student project, and fine, for a student project I guess it's not that bad, but it also isn't good enough to sell for $15 on Steam.

have you played ANY stealth game in your entire life?

tell me MGS3S' stealth is laughable, or dishonored's, or splinter cell chaos theory's or Mark of the Ninja's

theres the fact the game has constant clipping issues, lack of direction, uninteresting gameplay, among other things

You know, he does make an annotation for the express purpose of skipping right to the gameplay portion.

Even the recent Fallouts and Skyrim have had better stealth than guise of the herp, and those are bad by today's standards (easily outclassed by DX/DXHR, mark of nanja, etc that people have mentioned).

A game with a literal toggle on/off switch for stealth regardless of where you're standing, where guards are standing/facing, and regardless of cover or time of day is not a system any game has except for this shlock. Even that guy said he had to get on top of a light post in Dishonored, presumably via tier 2 agility high-jump, tier 2 teleport (requiring not only the investment into the skill but also time to "equip" the skill, aim and cast it), or creative level exploration, none of which is "toggle crouch."

The game is uniquely bad, and is nowhere close to any of today's stealth games... or even today's action games with stealth elements. It's just a fucking bad game.
