Oh another one I forgot to mention...

Vampires the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Faithful to it's tabletop counterpart. Nice, dark setting, as all vampire related stuff should be. Overall it's a fun RPG that can eat up a good chunk of your time.

Grim Fandango,
Tales of Monkey Island,
Dead Space?!,
Red Faction Geurilla.

All awesome, all massively underrated or unknown?!.
Dead Space is a pretty damn popular game that's frequently praised as a land mark in the horror genre. It also happens to be extremely overrated and appreciated

Is it a bad game? Shit no.

Is it a survival-horror masterpiece? Not by a long shot.

The story is a plot hole and cliche wridden mess, none of the characters are likable, the game is repeditive (zero-g moments aside), and the "horror" is nowhere to be found.

Back lashings aside, it's easily a MUCH better game than RE5.

I said underrated or unknown, Dead Space IMO was underrated... Not unknown, fuck no.
I just mean that all I ever heared about it was criticism.
Not that I know of. All I've heard was nothing but unadulterated praise for the game.

'Zone of the Enders; Fist of Mars' for the GBA. Incredibly easy once you figured out the combat mechanic, but it had great character design with an interesting plot and setting and incredible soundtrack.
Also, the Shenmue series and JSRF.
Fire Emblem 6 7, to a lesser extent, 8.
Ouendan on the DS.
'Dare to Dream' 1 and 2, for Windows 95, I think. Came on a floppy disk, remains one of the most enthralling games I have played to date.

Too Human, got such a bad rap it didn't need. Its one of the funnest games you could play and most people I know who like the game put 500+ hours into it. I'm not kidding. It had a difficulty curve that was like walking into a brick wall, but once you got past that it was easy.

Controls were unique but not hard, the control scheme allowed you to do things that were for the most part impossible for button combos. It also used the every single button on the control pad for something.

Most other underrated games are old gen and you'd never find them so I'm not going to list them. They haven't really kicked out any small time games since Arcade style games took over the little developers.

It was a survival-horror masterpiece. It was the single greatest game I have ever played and there is never going to be a game that comes close except maybe Dead Space 2.

Now, as for underrated..
Whiplash
Def Jam fight for NY
Dark Chronicle and Dark Cloud.
Final Fantasy XI

The Xenosaga trilogy. Sure the cutscenes were stupidly long, but the story was amazing. Also, the battle system (at least in the second game) was intensely indepth and fun once you understood it.

The most underrated game?
I know I'm going to get flamed for this but...
Modern Warfare 2.
Look, I know people LOVE multiplayer, but I can't stand it, and the single-player campaign SUCKS.

I think you got your terminology backwards buddy...

Underrated means a game that is really good, but doesn't have much attention.

You may be thinking "Overrated".
