Why does everyone seem to hate Bullet Witch with such a passion? Yes the voice acting was shit, Yes the game was too short, Yes the combat wasn't very fluid. However, I still enjoyed the hell out of it and really wish it could get a sequel. The main problem with the game was simply not enough content. If they had streamlined the combat, added more levels and weapons, and fleshed out the story better, it could have been a great quality action game.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Sacrifice. Giants is funny as fuck, as well as having this great sense of adventure about the whole game with some really good (if a little buggy) gameplay. Sacrifice is just one of the best games ever made, unlike anything before or since (apart from Brutal Legend).

[Edit] Also, The Warriors. It's a lot of fun. [/edit]

NOONE plays that game.
I would if it didn't cost so %$&#ing much!

I've always wanted to play it.

Yeah, and Grim Fandango, Sanitarium, Myst III & IV along with a too many other adventure games.

Mario Land 2 on the Gameboy was probably my favourite Gameboy Mario game.
Mystic Quest on the Gameboy as well, I actually (don't hate me) preferred it to the GB Zelda.
How about One on the PS1? That game was fun as hell, although far too short. I also loved F1 98, in spite of pretty much everyone I know saying it was shit.
I also really enjoyed whatever that Command et Conquer FPS was called. Renegade?

In terms of recent games, I could quite happily play Borderlands single player for a few runthroughs. In fact, I have done. Take that, society!

thief 3 - just happened to get a share of the same hate deus ex 2 got, but a great game.

dark messiah of might & magic - rare FPS melee combat that is actually fun and more c&c than most pure rpgs can actually claim.

titan's quest - the best diablo clone, after diablo 1,2,3

Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim. I got the feeling people didn't understand how to play it because...They didn't bother to play past the first 2 minutes...Anyways, its an amazing game with a great economic system if you know what you're doing.

Dungeon Siege 2. I think DS1 was highly praised, but DS2 I didn't hear all that much about. I personally loved it, though sometimes the bosses were a bit overwhelming...

Mercenaries 2: Because you could destroy buildings in a GTA setting, though a lot of the game was fairly underwhelming. But hey, I had fun running around town blowing stuff up, and that's what matters.

Killer 7, the game itself was done very well with a captivating story and amazing gameplay. In fact it's one of the few games where the quicktime events were acceptable and not just some crappy gimmick.

Blue Stinger
Parasite Eve
Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption/Bloodlines
Orphen: Scion of Sorcery
Rollcage!
Dungeon Siege 1 & 2 (but not Space Siege. Eugh)

Just a few off the top of my head. I loved each and everyone of those brilliant little gems, yet I'm hard pressed to find any of them mentioned (except for on here, but ya know, some of you guys are pretty cool)

Wow. I never thought I'd see anyone who liked that game too! Most argument reviewers used against that game were utter bullcrap.
I mean, the combat was awesome and there was plenty to do to keep you entertained for at least 3 playthroughs. The only thing that dissapointed me was the multiplayer.

Production values for it were pretty good for the time too.
Ratings and sales just suffered from poor marketing.

Brutal Legend. That's right, I said it. I enjoyed that game. So what that it was a RTS that sometimes acted like a hack-and-slasher and other times like a RPG. I liked the variety in gameplay, and it all tied into the story quite well.

The multiplayer wasn't great (because it wasn't balanced), but I don't really care about that.
I hear ya, I loved this game... METAL!

Jeanne D'Arc- a PSP RPG that surprised the crap out of me, its one of my fav games and even though it got good review score it never really seemed to catch on with people and hardly ever see anyone talk about it.
