I've been watching Zero Punctuation for a while, and I've got to wonder, does Yahtzee take requests? I know he's mentioned how much he dislikes fanboy whining, but I also remember him reading him say that he likes indie games. You don't get much more indie than Touhou, and a new Touhou game is coming out soon. For those who haven't already heard of it, Touhou is a series of "bullet hell" vertical scroller games made by one guy in Japan, who uses the pen-name of ZUN and the company name Team Shanghai Alice. It's also the center of a thriving cult fanbase among anime fans, due to the way the wealth of characters combined with the encouraging attitude of the author allows for bucketloads of fanworks of all types based off of the series.

An announcement of the demo is here: http://kourindou.exblog.jp/14614181/
A direct download of the demo is here: http://www16.big.or.jp/~zun/html/th13dl.html
A torrent of it is here: http://www.ceena.net/view.php?id=110415203713-465257
A fan translation of the dialog in the demo is here: http://www.touhou-project.com/gensokyo/res/6891.html

I certainly do hope Yahtzee will review it; it certainly seems like it'd give fodder for an entertaining review, regardless of how much he may like or dislike the game itself.

Ooh, Touhou 13 demo. I suck at these games, but if I need to waste a few minutes it sure beats minesweeper.

Though, I just don't think there is much to review. Shoot up, move to the side, move back, repeat. Bomb.

I'd love to hear the noise he makes when he sees the HORRIBLE artwork and dialogue translations. That would make my day.

Is there honestly anyone who hasn't heard of Touhou by this point?
I would be very hesetant to call it a "cult" game.

And to answer your question; Yahtzee won't take requests.

Always wanted to try one. I probably suck at them, but I love some of the music.
The music is the best part, for sure. I suggest playing number 10, Mountain of Faith. But I think I'm in the minority of fans in thinking that it is the best.

Well, aside from 12.8, but that is because it has Cirno as the main character.

And since I forgot, here is the Touhou wiki, for the people new to the whole thing who want to read up on its backstory, find out information on the assorted fanworks, and whatnot: http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Touhou_Wiki

Touhou is great but I don't know what there is to review about it. It's very minimalistic so I'd be surprised if anybody made a video review of them. And a game with about 15 predecessors is hardly indie.

This is what I thought at first just looking at videos of it, when you actually play it it's amazing though. And danmaku games are pretty rare so I doubt you've played that many if you've never played a Touhou game.

I'll assume they grew up in the 80's, in which case, if you've played one arcade style shmup, you've played them all. That is not to say that Touhou is not a very good quality shmup, because they are very fun games.

If you've been watching it for a while, I figured that you would catch on by now that he HATES when people tell him to review something. It's stated almost every episode.

And I think he knows of it already, the series in general I mean, maybe not this particular game. I'm pretty sure he's referenced it at some point.

I cannot possibly ever imagine Yahtzee reviewing Touhou. On second thought, maybe I can.

He'll have witty remarks regarding the shoddy character art (not as bad as it used to be, but not like it matters), the difficulty of trying to see your character in the bullet storm, the fact that every character is a girl, the nonsense of your tiny hitbox, the hats/accessories/ears on absolutely every single character, and the difficulty of trying to see your character in the bullet storm. He may or may not like the music.

He doesn't take requests, I highly doubt that he'll review a demo of all things, and I'm pretty sure posting download links is bad for your record here.

You've seen his review of iPhone games right? ************ can extrapolate like nobodies' business.

Never heard of it. Seems pretty cool though.

Might give that a try, I have a soft spot for Bullet Hell shooters.

the fact that every character is a girl,
Almost every character is a girl (within the games). There is one male character...
Yeah, but Rinnosuke doesn't totally count since he only ever shows up in the side materials and can't fight at all. And there are more guys. It's just that Rinnosuke is the only human-ish one that's still alive. Genji is a turtle, Unzan is a cloud, Myouren is a dead little brother, and Youki is a disappeared dad.
