TCGs can be pretty time consuming hobbies. From Magic pokemon, what TCGs have grabbed you over the years?
I don't know about you, but I've wandered between several TCG's in my time and the one I got most addicted to and that which is my favourite, is the recently deceased "Chaotic" game. I wanted to know how many other people played it or enjoyed it on the escapist.
For those who have never played it, you may recall it's TV show, aimed heavily at kids, which failed to do the game any justice. In fact, 4kids marketing scheme (unsurprisingly) aimed the entire advertising revenue towards seven year olds, which really pulled in the wrong crowds. The game could be played offline, but each card had a unique code which could transfer it on to your online account to be played with online. The game itself was totally original, it had lizard-mages commanding gigantic warbeasts, brainwashing jellyfish and mind-controlling ant-people, the strategy aspect had loads of depth and really no other game could replicate the experience. Perhaps most impressive, each card had unique, random stats - Energy, power, speed, etc., that varied so even if you had the same card twice, the two would have different values.
Since I live in an area where very few other people would play TCGs, it was great being able to play online with a whole community all around the world.
So, has anyone heard of this/played it? Any other fans?
If not, what have you played?
