Wait, new Jumanji is a CONSOLE? I mean, haunted board game is a bit silly but a haunted video game console... that's just dumb.

I'm kinda wondering what The Rock's problem is. He's already defending the movie on twitter like he did with Baywatch and that's where his behaviour seems a bit unhealthy to me. It's not that he's starring in these movies, that's alright, chances are he's the best thing about them but it's that he seems to be genuinely emotionally invested in their success. Quite frankly, if you honestly expect that people are gonna watch a Baywatch movie or a Jumanji remake in 2017 you have noone to blame but yourself.

They didn't even call it a Hex Box.

The board game angle was at least intriguing. And the original movie I think worked because it imposed the game's rules on the world the kids were already in. Not sucking them into a repurposed Indiana Jones set.

Well, anything the Rock is in isn't all bad, because at the very least, it has the Rock in it. And I really do my best not to be a shallow gawking creep, I really do, but God damn it, Karen Gillan cosplaying Lara Croft is more than reason enough to consider seeing this at some point.

Wow, I mean wow, so many thoughts and none of them good.

1). Fuck and what
2). Sony clearly can't have a bottom left on the barrel it is scraping to come up with this
3). Jumanji.... REALLY? sequel, reboot, movie that shares the same name and a vague concept that matches the same one released what... well fuck I was in High School and that thought alone frightens me, I mean it's clearly aimed at the demographic that didn't see the original, given video game vs board game, given very attractive Sccots Redhead (hoo yeah) and The Rock vs very talented comedy actor who is now alas dead.. but fuck really Jumanji and it's releasing at around the same time as Star Wars... really... REALLY?
4). REALLY...
5). No come on REALLY?

Why wasn't Robin Williams given a role in this?
The Screen Actors Guild has some bylaws or something against jobs being given to actors who have been dead for three years.
Tell that to Tupac and Michael Jackson. They're in every other music video!

Everything you ever love will die and fade away into the eternal aether of a forgotten past. All those memories cannot fight the full force of nature's entropy, no matter how hard we try to maintain a collective consciousness. It is all meaningless, there is no end goal, no winning state, just a constant struggle in vain against an ever-victorious decay to uphold a pretense of relevance. Whatever positive you happen to find will be brief and replaced by something else arisen from the prison of decay.

That's my opinion of the trailer. It rhymes with 'eggs [small](are)[/small] essential [small](in)[/small] bread.' Vaguely remember the first film being okay, this one may well be alright too, ah well be it must be another angle causing this feeling.

No Brendan Fraser, no Jumanji
...what?

When watched as a mildly generic action film, it comes off as "meh, s'alright" at best. When viewed as a...sequel? Reboot? Reimagining?..whatever, of Jumanji, it looks worse because you're comparing it to the old film. I think trying to piggyback off of OG Jumanji hurts them far more than it helps

I actually thought it looked interesting. Sure, in-name-only with regards to the original, but I don't hold the original in any high regard.
