I was so excited to hear there was gonna be another Alice game... Now I've seen the trailer, I'm really disappointed. It looks like it'll be just another consolised button-masher. It had so much potential too. ;_;
bear in mind my friend, this is just a combat trailer. i wouldn't write it off just yet.

OT: personally i think the game looks awesome. the combat seems to be much improved over the last one, so provided it does not base the whole gameplay on combat, i will be rather happy ^^

True. I will wait to judge it until after I've seen more gameplay. I'm just a little concerned, since I liked the first one so much, and the combat shown here feels a lot like Darksiders. I still regret buying that crappy thing.

heh, and that is a very rational fear i assure you =p i understand the concern, but i'm hoping that combat is only one part, and the adventure aspect is still the key focus. not long to wait anyway xD

I'm actually quite fond of hack and slash games, but this... seemed to lack flow. Also, why does she have a machine-gun...?

Also, was I the only one that thought of Madness Combat when they saw the title of the video?

She had a machine gun in the first game, too. Though it was more 'deck of cards' shaped.

I've played both Bayonetta and DMC. I see no reason to try this too.
Different game, different story. Just because the combat is similar ( and you played DMC, so why play Bayonetta? ) doesn't mean anything. I don't understand you people who are pouting that the combat is similar. The original had similar combat stylings, just less flow. If you enjoyed the first game, you'll enjoy this one.

If you didn't play the first game, you have very little frame of reference for this one, and you're making incorrect comparisons to DMC / Bayonetta / etc.

Does anyone know why this game or the first is not available on steam? I really would like to play both, I'll probably end up buying Madness Returns from the nearest EB Games, but I don't think it'll be easy to find a copy of the first game. I did find it available on the EA store manager but I'd rather not buy it on there since I never use it... Anyway, just sad and surprised that it couldn't be found on steam... Looks awesome though cannot wait!!!

This game looks so beautiful! the world and combat remind me of Kingdom Hearts but in a more mature setting. Looking forward to getting it.
