Didn't see that, where does it say that?
It doesn't mention it in the preview (though it probably should), but the Mad Hatter with the buzzsaw scene was kind of a giveaway. But it's pretty easy to check elsewhere.

Is anyone else sick of the "dark and grim and evil Alice and Wonderland adaptation" fad?

The creepiness of the original came from the fact that everything was so surreal and difficult to relate to. An adaptation like this has no weight because stuff is creepy for obvious reasons. A creepy bloody guy waving claws around is scary for an obvious reason, you know exactly what he's about, there's no mystery there.
While I AM sick of this fad I'm going to give American McGee a pass here.

He did it first and actually did it fairly well compared to most of the "dark and grim Wonderland" adaptions. The first game actually included details that showed an attention to details from the books that most folks ignored. Plus he kept up with this "victorian asylum" motif that added a lot to the horrific nature of the game.

I'm just hoping he doesn't go screwing it up in this one.

Oh god, I am a fanatic and a sucker for everything that is "Alice in wonderland" related

PS. Horror movies don't scare me, but this trailer made me feel like there are red ants crawling all over the inside of my stomach.

That's a nice trailer. Pat that trailer making guy on the back. Now what's the game about?

I don't see the point of trailers that show no gameplay footage. Games aren't a medium that can be conveyed completely visually so trailers are already a poor man's advertising but when you don't show anything from the game it becomes totally unrelated to the game. It's a separate enterprise with its own workings outside the game. Trailers like this seem to be to a game what the fanfic is to the novel.
There is more than one trailer to be released, this one focuses on the story and character , which is as important as game play.

COLLECTOR'S EDITION!
---------------------------
*Soundtrack by same guy who did Alice 1's OST.
*Updated graphic version of Alice 1.
*New Alice game.
*All this for only $50.
*Only available at EA's store.
http://eastore.ea.com/store?Action=DisplayPage&IsGift=no&Locale=en_US&SiteID=ea&id=ThreePgCheckoutShoppingCartPage
Your link is broken. Here, let me fix that for you [http://eastore.ea.com/store/ea/en_US/pd/productID.227290100?easid=EAStore-AliceMadnessReturns_CompleteCollection_Herobanner_PreOrder].

The only issue with the "Collector's" edition, which is actually being billed as the "Complete Collection", is that it's a direct download from the EA store for PC only. As opposed to the "Standard" edition of the game for the PC that, for reasons I'll never understand, doesn't include the original Alice but is the same exact price.

Good news on the console side, however. Regardless of what platform you buy Alice for you get a download code for a remastered version of the original game through either LIVE or PSN. No "special edition" nonsense, no restrictions or catches.
