Seems more like they were trying to show off random pointless awards more than multiplayer.

Do want.

MW3 will be delayed as they attempt to hodgepodge enough awesome together in hopes it can compete.

Was that a mine shaft? Holy shit, devs have been searching through all their 90s stuff in their attic and rediscovered original fps settins.

Captcha was a fucking quiz? No video, it just says "what kind of verizon smartphone is twice as fast as at&t" with a drop-down box. What the fuck is this, Escapist? I had to copy/paste my post and refresh until I got one that isn't a fucking test of Verizon fanhood.
The map is called "Operation Metro." that stage in the map is the subway. You can shoot out all the lights in the subway cars and turn on flashlights that blind people :D

The video ends with you getting killed by an RPG spamming nub, like we didn't get enough of that fun in BFBC2.

Give me a good story, and varied teams (please, more than just USMC verus someone else shit from BF:BC/2) and I'll be fucking overjoyed.
As it is, I'm looking forwards to this. It looks pretty good and well polished up. Shame it'll probably cause my PC to 'asplode.

You would have to be absolutely air headed to even THINK that's how the multiplayer is. I've seen raw footage (dunno if I can link here, forum rules) and DICE STILL did NOTHING about that retarded floaty 4 foot high jumping crap that made BF2 laughable. Anyone who has played Battlefield 2, or hell even Bad Company 2, knows that multiplayer boils down to rushing and bunnyhopping while the other half of the team lines up for the jet and/or tank.

and no, MW3 is even worse. There has yet to be a "modern combat" FPS that got movement right, and without proper movement the glitches and exploits run rampant.

I'm still confused as to how people think or even want MW3 and BF3 to be competitors, BF3 still looks like a battlefield game, it doesn't look to play like a CoD game. Isn't that how competition works, two (or more) people compete in the same event and the better one wins. But to me it feels like they're in the same category, but are in two different events. It's like if I challenged someone to a swimming competition and I participated in the breaststroke event and the other guy competed in the backstroke.
They are two different takes on the team vs team combat scenario and people are just going to stick with which type of gameplay they prefer, this isn't going to take a CoD fan and suddenly make them want to play BF3, and vice versa.

This plus the recent leaked alpha footage which(for now) EA has decided not to remove on youtube, The wait for BF3 has gotten a lot easier.

I'm still disappointed we haven't seen 64p conquest madness but I think DICE/EA are still at a point in marketing where it they are trying to demonstrate that they can nail the core infantry experience which although it has been fun in past games it could be better. And as far as I'm concerned they seem to have finally got it right.

Looks like they're going for the massive-battle maps option than the small-skirmish types that Call of Duty opted for.

I have never seen people bunnyhopping. Not Once. Zero. Nadda. And I don't see people lining up for the tank/Helicopter (I only played 1942 solo and BC2).
Battlefield 2 is where it's most prevalent, and I'm talking about the PC version. People are expecting Battlefield 3 to be just like Battlefield 2 with a reskin, meaning all the noob tactics will work in favor of making things easier.

To put it bluntly, FPS games market to kids and make games easier, meaning they remove a lot of the realism they've been touting this whole time. Until they have a health system akin to the STALKER series and a jumping mechanic that either doesn't exist or follows a sense of physics, the FPS scene will always be about bunnyhopping and quickscoping.

And the stairs...don't even get me started about the stairs...

That's somewhat true but a lot of people play CoD (or other games for that matter) just because there's very little else to play that isn't some low budget cash grab game (socom4). MW3 and BF3 have a lot in common. Both are modern combat, both are fps, both offer very similar play compared to older fps and tps games, both are extremely enjoyable. A lot of guys who are on the fence or people who play one or the other just to have something decent to play will end up choosing one over the other. The die hard fans of either franchise will obviously stay with what they love. Personally, I'm leaning towards BF3 simply because I'm burned out on the re-skinned CoD franchise. Then again, knowing me I'll likely buy both but BF will be first. :D

Of course, I'm speaking from a console gamer point of view. If I upgrade my rig I'd almost certainly buy BF3 for my PC gaming.

RIP Battlefield series.

I literally have no idea what people are seeing in this game.
