It didn't worked for Singularity; I can't think of a way to make it work in Bioshock... except as a gimmick that only works on certain places, which was what Singularity did.

Okay, what is up with all this "this is too unbelievable!" schtick that's popped up around Bioshock: Infinite? I really don't get it, the original Bioshock was far from believable, and even then people seem to be confusing "believable" with "realistic", which is not what we need. In this universe, in this context, a city in the sky with some parallel universes is just as believable as an underwater city where people can shoot bees out of their hands, and there's no flowers!this isnt my name said:I dont like this element. Game would be better without this, it just seems too insane/unbelivible for my liking.
Oh please, the original Bioshock was just as unbelievable and flimsy as this one (underwater city with big scuba divers with people who shoot bees out of their hands. Totally real!). The thing is, though, it felt believable within the context of the game, not within reality. It felt like a living, breathing world isolated from the rest of the world within the context of the game. Believability is not the same as reality, which is what I think some people are doing when saying that Infinite looks "improbable". It's a fantastical setting in a fantastical world, and damnit steampunk is a heavily underused genre!dstreet121 said:I'm kind of disappointed by this trailer. What I loved so much about the original Bioshock was, even though the science was flimsy, it still felt like it might be in the realm of reality. This kind of thing, to me, seems to involve alternate dimensions, time travel, and basically magic which I don't feel really fits in a Bioshock game. I just don't get it.
Damn... I was about to say thatKorten12 said:Anyone else notice the : Revenge of the Jedi on the movie thing at the end?![]()
Yeah, because shooting live bees and fire out of your hand then becoming invisible by standing still was totally within the realm of reality.dstreet121 said:I'm kind of disappointed by this trailer. And i take it a city in the sky, which allows you to slide on rails like a roller coaster with a wrench sounds More believable huh?this isnt my name said:I dont like this element. Game would be better without this, it just seems too insane/unbelivible for my liking.
