I wonder if this was a hit or miss for Treyarch. I am not sure if the "majority" of CODs demographic would find this trailer appealing.

Strangely enough, I think this is a lot more interesting then just showing people kill each other over and over again to advertise a new map pack. I am looking at you Bungie...

Very weird, but pretty funny.

Correct on both counts. I found myself alternately chuckling and tilting my head in puzzlement watching this. I really did like the dueling guitar solos, though. That was awesome, especially when the one guy kicked the doors in to start playing.

Using "Wind of Change" to advertise a game that more or less celebrates war and likes to put up the scary bogeyman of those crazy Russians every now and then is pretty bold.

But I can't deny that this was kind of worthy a chuckle or two. At least it shows that they don't take themselves too serious.

Aw man, at first I thought it was going to be some pretentious montage of gameplay to music, but then they embraced the awesomely bad potential of 80's power ballad videos.

Well done, I can almost hear some c-lister reminiscing about this on a VH1 countdown special.

BEST. TRAILER. EVER!!!! I got chills! For those who were confused over the intent of the trailer READ A BOOK OR SOMETHING!! Thw Wind Of Change was about the Berlin Wall coming down (ergo the big ass wall in the video) and was about peace, the ONE thing guaranteed to be devoid in a CoD game. Brilliantly animated using in-game graphics, marvelously over the top, spectacular with guitar solos in true glam rock style and doves being released, either as a symbol of peace or homage to John Woo who makes some damn violent movies. Either way, this was well thought out and SHOULD be great advertising for the game.

My mind is blown...
