"OMG it says it is the most anticipated game ever! It lies! I am not hyped for it, therefore it isn't."

>.> Honestly? Plus just because YOU aren't looking forward to it, doesn't mean it isn't.

Right, now I'm lost. I thought Makarov died/was killed in MW2.
Oh well, it's not like anyone buys Call Of Duty for the plot!
Uh... No... Honestly if you didn't find that out then it wasn't the game's fault, you clearly weren't paying attention.

Yea, but a person can make an assumption from their experiance. MW2, that was an antiipated game. I remember it was all me and my friends chatted about for a week before realease and most gamers I know had it preordered. Still hang around with the same people and the most Ive heard is "saw the new MW3 trailer, looks ok I guess. May get it preowned after I get bored of battlefield 3". I would say anticipated games for this season in my circle of friends (standard 17-25 year old mix sex demographic) would be skyrim battlefield and arkam city. followed by saints row 3 and MW3... so from that I can conclude if in my experiance the key demographic for the game isnt anticipating it as much as 3 or 4 other titles in this season alone it is a stretch to say "most anticipated of all time"

Before I start a fan war, I have not chosen to buy BF3 because Im a hardcore fan, infact the last one I played was on the PS2. I choose because it has had better new coverage, has been better advertised and looks like a more interesting game.

The problem with taking your own anecdotal evidence into account, is that the people you hang around with will be of a certain type - i.e. the people you'd choose to hang around with.

In fact, pre-orders for MW3 have already outpaced MW2 by a hefty amount, and it's still two weeks to launch. Given that MW2 had the most sales in history, then Blops topped even that, saying that MW3 is the most anticipated in objective terms of sheer numbers isn't a stretch at all. You may think that's quantity over quality, but it is what it is.

Hey, it's that game in which a plot isn't hard to keep up with and isn't laced with quick-time events and "Follow" commands thrice each mission.

/Nudges BF3 gently on the shoulder

(Spoiler alert) Makarov remained alive at the end of MW2, good sir. The antagonist that died was Shepherd, not Makarov. Don't mean to offend, but you sounded pretty ignorant in your post.

And speak the latter phrase for yourself. The main reason I play the MW series is for the campaign and the characters whom I grew quite fond of. I'm looking to see how the story ends in MW3. After I finish the campaign, I'll probably check out the new Survival mode.

Not gonna lie that looked pretty fucking awesome. This is a definite rent for me, I'm curious to see how this all pans out.
