I think I'll be going with the Enchantress. Sad that the Rogues aren't back, but okay. I liked keeping my starting hireling with me through the entire game. If she died, I immediately went and revived her. Level them up enough, and things start dying. Fast.

It looks like you can select 4 abilitys from a total of 12 for your hench and change them whatever you want to (or maby only in town).

Well it is good that the Mercs are back but.

It apears that they are to 'clean'. If that makes any sence.

Like if they are wondering along killing daemons and undead in the Dessert then should they not look dusted and covered with a little dried blood. Then in the marshes they looked better but still.

Theres been a bit of uproar in the official D3 forums; with Bashiok (the CM) saying "I'd recommend everyone back down from their perceptions of what they believe is true, because tomorrow, from my perspective, everyone is going to be eating crow."

Overacting assumptions are the wont of the internet I guess.

Also, anyone else find it funny that every time any post about D3 is made there are equal amounts "This game is awesome, take my money now" and "Blizz ruined all gaming, they suck and I hate them" posts that don't actually talk about the post in question.

Anyways I think it's cool, helps round out a single player by helping them where there class is weakest (Damage, Tank, and Support respectively).

Won't be buying it. Sick of Blizzard being unable to seperate its WoW artistic direction from all its othwe games.
I can understand not liking the aesthetic, but to refuse to buy the game off of it seems a bit odd. Perhaps you have different values than me but to me Gameplay was always like %80 of a games value, aesthetic taking up the other %20. So I'm guessing you must not have wanted to play it very badly in the first place for that to tip the scales.

When I was little, (i.e. Not TOO long ago) I had an older neighbor friend dude who was a MASSIVE Diable 2 fan. He used to come over and play Diablo 2 with us on our computer while I watched (...that might sound selfish. It wasn't; I was too young to play, so I liked watching and backseat driving)

So anyway, this one time he went in to kill Mephisto the Act3 boss.....aaand, by the end he was nearly dead, and survived by this much, because his mercenary (the fighter from act2 I think) Charged in and took down Mephisto....BUT sacrificed himself in the process. And my friend was so touched, that he MADE us hold a minute of silence for the brave sod.

At the time it was sombre. In retrospect that is FUCKING HILARIOUS!! XD But yeah this trailer reminded me of that event so.... I though I'd share. Lol, "Minute of Silence" XD

So is it just me or does Diablo III look really bad? I am talking about the atmosphere and graphics. It looks almost on par with friggin' Torchlight. I am just surprised they are using such low polygon models. It looks like WoW.

only 3? D2 had 4 if you count the expansion :p

i'll take it tho, looks like you can customize the character a bit which is nice. Always thought it was neat you can give them equipment you've grown out of, the hand-me-down hirelings.

I remember gambling away a fortune in gold just to get my spear guy an awesome spear, not that it mattered since i just used him for the slow aura.

it has more color. Its the complaint everyone has had since they first showed gameplay/screenshots of the game 2-3 years ago.

yes it does look more cartoony and isn't just you.

Well, that's the downside of using a dated engine and such a long development time I suppose. Still looking forward to it though.

our choices for isometric dungeon crawlers are small so ill take it regardless. Plus Blizzard haven't made a single bad game since they became Blizzard, i have faith in them.

niiiiice... Looks like the henchmen might actually stand a chance this time. I always found them dying too much in previous games with their just basic attacking. Now they get skills too? sweeeet...

I dunno about that. WoW, Warcraft 3, and Starcraft 2 were all pretty mediocre in my opinion although I know I am in the minority there.

So... why is this game taking so long to develop?
'Cause it's Blizzard, who, like Valve, has the, when it's done, Philosophy. Add to that the fact that they are a bunch of perfectionists, so they play test, scrap, redesign, polish, scrap again, ect. till it's EXACTLY what they want.
