You need to chill the hell out and learn to not take things so seriously. EVERYTHING in Duke Nukem is over the top. It's MAKING FUN of that kind of entertainment.
I'm chill. I just have a dissenting opinion, which does not equate to rage or anger. Just dissent and disagreement. Please, though, help me out: How is this "making fun" of that kind of entertainment? It's not.
DNF is making
light of that kind of entertainment, not making
fun of it. There is a difference between satire and revelry. This is the latter. An example of satire would be "Here's a game all about boobs. Look at how stupid this game is because it's all about boobs." This is saying "Aren't boobs great? Isn't it great that we can just fill a game with boobs and call it a day?"
To go back to my earlier example,
Blazing Saddles is satire. The movie essentially says, "Here are a whole bunch of racist stereotypes. Look how stupid the people are that use them, and look how wrong they are anyway. Racist stereotypes are dumb." It makes fun of racism by
making fun of racists, not by agreeing with them.
To be "making fun of sexism," this game would have to make the sexist protagonist wrong. They're not doing that. They're making him the hero, and the game's entire world centers around how awesome he is. How is that making fun of this kind of game, rather than just cashing in on it?
