Interesting video but I wish they focused more on showing the gameplay than player reaction. It's like Gearbox doesn't want to sell this game.
I aim to get it when it reaches the price it is worth...like $15.

What the heck is Donald doing there?!
Whatever the reason, it makes the video better.
I agree with that.

I enjoyed watching that video and I hope they had fun too. The black guy is definitely the funniest guy there.

never cared for the MP really. the SP was more then disappointing that i wish i can get my money back. 45$ out of the window. :(
having actors pretending to enjoy the game??? wrong move gearbox. you already fucked up opposing force and blue shift.
valve will still be my favorite developers. at least their games are fun. even when they take their sweet time with epi 3.

Signed up just to post this response.

I was just playing DNF on Team Duke Match, and on Vegas Ruin even, the same map that was shown in the video. I can ensure you that although Duke Nukem Forever may not have a huge selection of maps or game types, multiplayer is quite solid on its own. I found no problem with hit detection or lag, and there are always plenty of people available to play with.

One of the main draws, I think, is the challenges available. There are over 400 challenges, think of them as mini-achievements if you will, that earn you experience points when you complete them. By completing these challenges and levelling up you earn new shirts, headgear, and eyewear for your Duke to customize, and new furniture for your penthouse suite. It's certainly enough to keep you coming back for more.

I agree hat its and obvious PR grab, and can be seen as a desperate move as well, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the video and having fun with it. So at least it wasn't all wasted time for me :)

*Duke Nukem voice* - "Your game is lame"

Still, a fun looking video. Can't trust the actual multiplayer to be as fun though, cos well, it just isn't. Multiplayer is sad. Oh well...

I love that "Turk" is pretty much "Turk" in real life. Also I knew like, ahlf the people. (Haslip, Chobot, Donald, and the The Guild guys)
Randy actually seemed hurt.

I find the appearance of Tay Zonday more interesting than anything else. I get that the other celebs were just there to make the game look fun, but . . . what the fuck was he doing? Did he voice Duke or something? What the fuck?
I know. I don't think he even played. He was just standing around awkwardly, like that one guy who stands directly behind the game line at a con and never actually plays because he doesn't want to embarrass himself but actually wants to play. That aside: Why was he there? At least some of the others made sense (The Guild), and some were great (Turk), but just, why? I love the guy to death and I like his music, but, geeze Gearbox, if you want random internet celebrities get someone who is one for playing games!

Or I'm just talking out of my ass and maybe he actually plays games 10 hours a day when he isn't making music and having lunch at the local university cafeteria with random hipster friends.

When he isn't doing porn voice overs that is, because MAN, this post has wandered off topic.

Also, Jeffrey Lewis (Vork from the Guild) with the massive beer in his hand the whole time was funny.

Strange how they couldn't get the game to look all that fun on a promo video.

Look how much fun those B-list celebrities are having playing that ugly and unimaginative, kludged together multiplayer game.

Looked like a hell of a lot of old-sk00l, non-CoD style deathmatch awesomeness.

Sign me up (on a PC with a mouse, though)!

Say what you will about the game, Gearbox have incredibly well done trailers. Granted, even Minesweeper Online can be that fun if everybody is in the same room and you're in the right mind, but still, a pretty fun video.

It looks like a fun "old-school" mosh up, which is great, but im just going to go ahead a say what eeeeeeeveryone else is proberly gonna say at some point... THAT TOLD US NOTHING! Lets see the modes and stuff, weve heard about erm plenty what with all the "ooooh sexist" stuff. Still id love to play against Turk from Scrubs, even if he was in that peice of doodie Skyline.

Wow, Dr. Turkleton punched a guy to death with 'roid rage. Didn't think I'd say that particular thing this morning.
