Heh. Valve has successfully flipped the ad agencies the bird. I don't think that some detached corporate entity could capture the kind of childish yet sinister, clinical yet personalised feel in this ad.

Also, whenever I hear GLaDOS talk, I get shivers and start smiling uncontrollably...

OT: Great commercial, does a good job of explaining portals and those bots are just the cutest things ever.
But, I want more of GLaDOS' dark humor.

For people who cant get just how good this advert is, go look up adverts for other games. A good start would be this Japanese advert for God Hand [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laSZukIwfgs] or this British advert for Dead Space 2 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IClfavUmvDw].

In short, it would make my day any day to see that on British TV.

That is ridiculously adorable on every level. They remind me of puppies, and that is a good thing. Daaawww. Let's have fun wit science! I wanna right now!

It's all good, but... does anyone else think they're spending too much time going over the co-op?

I'm looking forward to the game, but mostly for the single player. So the lack of info on that bar one annoying sphere is getting to me.

Well, for one, you can tell that Valve really, really likes these robots, and Valve has a tendency to get REALLY invested into their characters. (See; Francis, Ellis, Heavy, G-man) But also, they are massive, MASSIVE teases. They will keep nothing but snippets of the plot out in the open; build hype, build anticipation, and it doesn't spoil the game. And since the chemistry between Chell and GLaDOS is such an important part of the plot, they don't want ANYTHING spoiled. But what the Co-op bots allow them to do is show the quirky, slightly dark chemistry of the game without spoiling any of the important stuff. Also, they're adorable. DAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...

I don't think the rating is 10+ because of the content, its because anyone under ten would be so overwhelmed with puzzles and science that their heads would explode.
